PoliticsRe: Positives Of The Jonathan Presidency For APC Supporters by Jbenue(op): 7:51am On Mar 31, 2015
As much as I was rooting for APC, I was positively impressed by the mannerof GEJ during the election, he was cool and calm a true statesman defusing tension with every utterance. In stark contrast to Amaechi I mean does he want bloodshed that bad? If you have a grievance go about airing it the right way without spewing vitriolic rhetoric that can get hundreds killed. I hope Buhari Chastises him for his behavior.

PoliticsPositives Of The Jonathan Presidency For APC Supporters by Jbenue(op): 7:29am On Mar 31, 2015
Change supporters in the interest of kindness and brotherly love. Let us all say something nice about our "Outgoing" President Jonathan ill start. This will help us take stock ang give us a bit of perspective that while GEJ was one of the most incompetent leaders Africa has ever produced his administration did do some good for the country. I'll start by stating.

-He Passed the Freedom of Info Act

-He closed a lot of loop holes in the fertilizer subsidy scheme

-He improved some roads

-Under all the Media criticism he upheld the freedom of the press

-He tried to initiate change in the NFF when they embarrassed us in 2010 as foolish as his methods were

-And he increased market for Bowler Hat manufacturers

He may have been inept but at least he did somethings.

CultureShould Pidgin Be Made An Official Language Of Nigeria by Jbenue(op): 2:45pm On Mar 26, 2015
Currently English, Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo are the current official languages in the country but we no for a fact that the Lingua Franca is Pidgin English or Broken. Is it not time that we codify this language that is one of the few things that binds a diverse Nigeria. In Jamaica English is also an official language but they have rightly elevated their Patois to this status as well as it is part of their patronage, it is high time we do the same in Nigeria.

PoliticsChinese Eatery That Does Not Admit Black People After 5pm Closed In Nairobi. by Jbenue(op): 9:15am On Mar 25, 2015

A Chinese restaurant with a controversial policy of barring black Kenyans after 5pm has been closed by the Nairobi County government.

The restaurant in Kilimani did not have a liquor licence, a health licence and a change-of-use licence — having been converted from a residential house to a restaurant.

Governor Evans Kidero said though the restaurant management had acquired a licence to run the business, they did not have the other three documents to operate.

“After investigations, we have established that the restaurant did not have the licences and I have ordered it closed until the management complies,” said Dr Kidero while addressing the media in his office.

“I have ordered the inspectorate and the liquor licensing board to close it with immediate effect,” he added.

The governor admitted that city inspectorate officers had failed to ensure compliance, adding that steps would be taken against those who failed at their job.

He added that investigations would be launched on how the restaurant operated without the three crucial documents for three years.

The governor said a thorough inspection would be conducted to ensure that all hotels and restaurants operate with the city laws.

The restaurant’s management had earlier apologised for not admitting black Kenyans after 5pm, saying the move was necessary following a robbery in 2013.

The owners also said they had been “operating legally for many years” treating all customers equally.

“Because of the concern of the business environment at night and the bad memory of … 2013, we adopted certain measures. Unfortunately, some of the measures were inappropriate, we sincerely apologise for this,” the management said in a statement.

"2nd husband". Have never heard of such a thing!
The term for it is called Polyandry... In some parts of the world a single girl can marry an entire family of brothers, I remember watching one documentary where the girl about 14 married 7 brother ranging in age from 23 to 5 years old. She will spend some years with each of them in turn and subsequently moving on to the next one. Interesting stuff, a bit strange though
