When are we going to learn? Enough of sensational journalism; it is killing us. "Obama okays Buhari's plan to tackle BH" as if Obama must approve before action. And the article starts with "Obama has offered strong support" why not use d word 'Support' in the headline instead of the denigrating 'Approves? |

Good Modified: Dasuki knows better hence the decision to remain silent. Now, the DSS is becoming proactive and it is good for the country, witch-hunt or wizard-hunt I don't care. Even if it is witch-hunt, flexing muscle with 'almighty' Sambo Dasuki (the guy's profile is intimidating o) is enough to make underg sponsors, aides and abetters of treasonable felony rethink because there would have been an atmosphere of 'nobody is above the law'. It's a good mental warfare tactic. That's my candid opinion. BTW! Check my signature t |

This must be South Africa because the word 'vaal' is an Africaan term for farm or forest. Afrikaners are the descendants of the Europeans in SA and they speak the language. Wondering how I know all these? Study history and encourage others to do same and don't forget to check my signature. |

fdigital:Onitsha port is an inland port, not on the Atlantic coast. No ship can reach there if Nigeria doesn't permit entrance from the Niger Delta areas in the event that Biafra secedes. Biafra will just be an enclave withing Nigeria if it secedes because Çross River state shares its northern boundary with Benue State close to Abakaliki, tha axis would have opened Biafra to international community by sharing boundary with Cameroun. Once again, Onitsha port is inland; it is located by the bank of River Niger. |

Like I say always, Nigeria's difficulty in taming insurgency, militancy and terrorism did not stem from dearth of apparatus and materiel but that of lack of intelligence and political will on the side of the leadership be it civil or military leadership. The Department of State Service (DSS), Department of Military Intelligence (DMI) and National Orientation Agency (NOA) aren't doing enough in this regard. The NOA should chart a course/path for the citizens to follow making good use of the avanche of media outlets, religious organisations, schools, clubs, associations, professional bodies and evens sports and seminars. The DSS on the other hand should gather intelligence reports and evaluate them to give informed, expert advise to the various organisation to counter any anti-state movements and gatherings. It is an indictment on DSS that groups like OPC, MEND, BIAFRA Radio, Maitatsine, Boko Idiots, Ombatse, MASSOB etc matured in the first place and are threatening the corporate existence of the nation. The DMI is the brain of the military, if the brain is not well fed, you will see it on the body. Nigeria Military is disciplined, well-trained, motivated but lacks direction in terms of intelligence and that is what you get when you politicise 'sacred' institutions like DSS, DMI and NOA. I wish to join the DSS but I'm discouraged because I don't know anybody. Anyway, if you need a professional historian (writing, teaching and/or analysing), contact me via whatsapp 07054043435 or check my signature for other means of contact. I ree o. |
