yunqdady: you don't take orders as a nurse. You assist in implementing plan of care. There are independent roles too. If you would have problem, it would be from patients not doctors. Although from my little experience, some male doctors don't just like having male nurses around but if you know your onions, no one would disrespect you without your permission. Thank you. I appreciate! |
Education › Re: Why Do Some Nigerians Think Being A Male Nursing Student Is An Abomination???!!! by JBRichard(op): 3:04pm On Dec 25, 2021 |
yunqdady: I believe this is an hypothetical post, or a made up post. But if it's real, hold on tight to what you have. Many wish to be in your shoes. Male nurses abound, even more than it has ever been now. Just that society would always refer to such as doctor. More common in the north though, but if you are serious about getting some as mentors, you can search online. Many are making waves. Most importantly, if you're staying in Nigeria, work towards occupational health and target oil companies or work towards becoming an academic. Otherwise, hustle your way out of this country to the WEST! I repeat, WEST I just logged on into Nairaland now. It is real. Maybe I can get to text you better using the DM on Nairaland. |

Family › Re: #DowenCollege: Bad Parenting Vs Bad School Training. Which Is To Blame? by JBRichard(m): 4:49pm On Dec 05, 2021 |
Peebaby93: I blame both the school and the parent. Firstly the parent..how will your child school call you to come pick up your child that he broke his leg,on getting to the school you were met with how sylvester was looking and you kept quiet? Until the child died you now came out to speak up.all through the term, did you not go to check up on the child welfare? As a prayerful parent God must have shown you that something is wrong but you ignored cos of chasing money for big fees.
Secondly the school....how can a school tell me that they didn't know that students practices cultism inside it premises.how can the school say they don't know this kids? where the hostel keepers, cleaners, teachers etc not hearing the shout and cry of that child when they tortured him?....the school needs proper investigation
And as for those erring kids whom their parents are shielding..the table will turn and they will be the next victims since they couldn't correct their kids.
We will give account one day As simple as that. I strongly believe the fault came from the parents. They saw the symptoms of their child's behavior (I have completed analysed the woman's speech and testimonials and she has admitted her fault) and did nothing. One thing about Nigerians is that they don't take correction until it happens to them. As I said before boarding house is not advisable looking at the situation of the country and the world. The parents should do better next time. Nonetheless, those devilish culprits won't surface themselves, therefore, the only way is to settle this issue amicably between parents as due fit. And appropriate discipline should be met on the gang. |
Politics › Re: John Onaiyekan: Nigeria May Split Before 2023 Elections by JBRichard(m): 7:11am On Dec 05, 2021 |
backbencher: Let's say the split happened
1.Northern and Western Nigeria become severely broke in the 1970's,...when agricultural prices fell worldwide...and continue to be broke till today. (And in debt)
2.Biafra becomes prosperous in the `1970's thanks to oil....only for the oil price crash of the year 1982 to hit Biafra badly...meaning by 1987, Biafra has to take the SAP medicaiton.
At the end of the day, all countries become broke.
3.You won't like war. War is awful. After all, ask the people living in Boko hunting grounds how they are enjoying the war up there. Plus the Civil war was not funny, and was horrible. Not again
4.Nigeria is underdeveloped for the same reason 90% of African countries who don't have any FUlani ruling them are underdeveloped...they are all resource dependent countries who sell raw materials, and use the revenue to import stuff at a value bigger than the value of their exports. Then we think there is a national cake, when there is a national loaf of bread.
Infact, go and meet the Biafranist, the ooduaist, the APC supporter, the PDP supporter, the bandits, even Boko mad-men....they all make the same complaint...we are not getting enough of the national cake. So we have to fight or play cunny politics or whatever.
Either way, war is going to mess this country up in ways that would take centuries to heal. Nice one. I feel your plight. Are you an analyst or economist? War won't do us any good. Thanks for the response. Happy Sunday and Merry Christmas |
Politics › Re: John Onaiyekan: Nigeria May Split Before 2023 Elections by JBRichard(m): 8:46pm On Dec 04, 2021 |
backbencher: Nigeria is not going to split for the following reasons (my opinion)
1.The minority tribes don't want Nigeria to split. Sure, most minority tribes are not enjoying Nigeria, but splitting Nigeria leaves them exposed to the rapacious bigger tribes. No thanks.
2.The elite don't want Nigeria to split...especially those with business interests across the country
3.The political class don't want Nigeria to split. No chances to loot.
4.International community too doesn't want Nigeria to split...because 1) higher oil prices 2) refugees swarming their countries....
5.Even most secessionists on this site don't want Nigeria to split. They back secessionists because they want to scare the North out of power, not because they want to leave Nigeria.(Wait till election starts, and 90% of the Biafranists and OOduaists will be backing PDP. E get why.)
6.As one recent article on banditry reveals, the bandits themselves are not one unified group, fight among themselves, and create more problems for themselves than the country.
7.Did I mention that most secessionists don't want Nigeria to split, and that most of them are more interested in their side winning the power game, than secession? Secession to them is a last card to play when all hope is lost.
8. Splitting Nigeria now, is not as clear cut as it was in 1966-7. Old Biafra is split into two, and the South SOuth wants resource control, rather than splitting up
9.As much as Ibos and Yorubas scream loud and clear about 'WE CAN SURVIVE ON OUR OWN' the fact is, in the event of a split, and in the event of the South South refusing to join either side...the fact is, (and you can abuse me all day long, but facts is facts)...Iboland and Yoruba land cannot survive without oil money...and are just dependent on oil money as the Hausas, and the Middle Belt.
Or where do you think Ibo and Yoruba states get most of their revenue for budget from (apart from Lagos)? OIL MONEY.(Or why do you think no Southern governor stood up to contradict El Rufai when he made the comment about subsidy needing to go or governors won't have money for their budgets next year? If Southern states were standing on their own financially, they would have said that he is on his own. Their silence shows they agree with him).
10. Most of Nigeria does not rely on export of industrial products to survive. Thus in the event of a split, all the new countries, apart from the South South, would end up relying on agriculture...and even if the SOuth south goes with Biafra...oil. All these commodites have one thing in common...the price of all of them is set elsewhere.
And that means, that at the end of the day, Oodua and Biafra are going to be as debt ridden as many African countries. You think I am lying? Most African countries that 'rely on agriculture' are in debt, some even higher than Nigeria's own.
And even if Biafra gets 'the oil' with the SOuth south...the same thing applies. At the end...Biafra would be debt ridden.
We haven't talked about the North. Sure the North has 'mineral and agricultural resources...but at the end of the day, who is setting the international prices for all these resources? They don't live in Kaduna, and Sokoto, that's what I know.
11. Let's even talk about agriculture. Less than 10% of our agric is mechanized. If we want to compete on the international market....we would have a real battle on our hands. We won't get the right international price of our agric goods. Western farms, with their tech, better soils , better soil management, better farming practice, would run us into the ground.
Remember that most African countries who 'rely on agriculture' are debt ridden. (Ghana has a debt of 26 billion dollars, Burkina 4 billion dollars,Kenya 35.9 billion dollars)
12. In the event of a split...there would be war. And anyone who tells me otherwise should go and rest. There is going to be a fight over resources , and it would be neverending.
13. Of course, any new nation arising from Nigeria, in ten years is going to be broke and poor, is what I am trying to say.
Nigeria is a contraption, but the alternatives are far far worse. I really like the way you pointed out the demerits of our splitting and almost all are negatives-everyone for their bellies. Nonetheless, we will be be better of accountable if we split. Let's face the war or the shortcomings now than wait in the future when things will be much much worse (if things should go this way). Had it been we split during Ojuku times, we won't be in this mess |

kaludestiny10: If I have my way, I will propose that boarding schools should be scraped. I have a little cousin brother who attends one of the boarding schools in maitama Abuja. During the covid 19 lockdown last year, I spent two months at his parents place. The type of information I got from this little boy as regards the happening in his school are horrifying. I wanted to draw his mum's attention to the happenings in his school, but he pleaded with me not to. And the school in question is a catholic school o. I agree with you. The question in my mind is "What are parents still doing with boarding school?" Knowing fully well the insecurity in Nigeria and what have you. All the cock and bull story that your child won't learn to be independent or so is not true. Or is it that parents are too busy to take care of their children or they have excess funds. Please take care of your child yourself and leave the rest to God. |

I like your reply just know that naija won't carry last. If they like, let them close Heaven, another business will still come up and the youths will still keep making money. They'll soon get tired. InoGetJoy: This government doesn't f**cking care about us. It's always "more for themselves and less for everybody else". They don't want a population of citizens capable of living well, which is why they've been blocking every avenue from where the youth can make money without begging for crumbs; think crypto, Instagram. They'll soon come for forex and other social media.
They don't want to provide enabling environment for businesses to grow but they have funds to pay counter-protesters and zombies to fight their online battles on nairaland.
They borrow billions but the effects of those billions aren't felt by the masses.
They steal the billions that they're borrowing because they know there's no redemption for this country.
They buy citizenship in good countries abroad, while some people support them for the crumbs that fall for their tables.
They don't fụcking care about you, whether you're Yoruba, Igbo, Efik, Ibibio or any other tribe. As long as you're not Fulani, you can go to hell.
I sincerely wish the eyes of the people will open and they'll see who their real enemies are. |

Celebrities › Re: Yul Edochie Reacts To Tiwa Savage Sex Tape by JBRichard(m): 11:08pm On Oct 22, 2021 |
All I can say is God bless you eternally for such a speech filled with wisdom! ethicallyright: This wouldn't happen if Tiwa Savage didn't divorce the one man who really loved her. There would be no sextape if she remained with the father of her only son who almost ended his life when he realized he wouldn't get the opportunity to be by her side anymore.
Till the end of time, Queen B (Beyonce) will always be praised. When Jay-Z cheated on her with a woman she's prettier than, Queen Beyonce fought the lady and warned her to stay off her legally married husband.
The weeks that followed Jay-Z's infidelity scandal were terrible. Feminist organizations on Twitter , millions of her female followers on Instagram and those who couldn't preserve their Hollywood marriages unanimously encouraged her to dump Mr. Carter.
Queen Beyonce went underground. The next we saw her was by her husband's side. She'd get pregnant with her twins within few months.
Beyonce is finer and more famous than Tiwa but she understood one thing: Men are biologically polygamous and she remains a happy woman today.
If Tiwa was with her ex-husband, the broke gold digger, whose second motive in the relationship is to brag that he's the one making Tiwa moan, wouldn't be in the picture.
The duty of mothers is to teach their daughters how to be feminine. Submission is the first characteristic of femininity. No virtuous mother on Earth would advise her daughter to leave a good man whose only weakness is cheating. She'd rather her daughter encourages the man to protect himself to avoid STDs.
May God Almighty bless me with more wisdom and give all the men on this forum rich , strong and independent wives who will forgive their shortcomings.
May the Good Lord also give ladies who will quote me the grace to be submissive wives who will forgive their caring husbands who only cheat. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Benin Republic Legalises Abortion by JBRichard(m): 10:57pm On Oct 22, 2021 |
Kingpele: Hahaha ,I laugh the foolishness of human wisdom ,the only way abortion can be permitted is if the life of the mother is grievously at risk but this other provisions are very lame and demonic,if u are not ready to have a child abstain from sex as for the unmarried ,it don't know why I will be having sex when am not married and if you are married then try to make babies when you are ready for it ,because children are a blessing from God ,u don't abort God's blessings if u are sane, but if you make the mistake of getting pregnant ,then responsibility required u most live with it... I personally think it is unwise to have sex with someone u are not married to.. Thank you my brother. You spoke my mind. I mean if the mother's life is in danger, YES abort! But the way some humans think eh... Everything is condemnation. I do not support the following reasons apart from the mother. |
