I can't remember the last time I went to the ATM to withdraw cash self, shebi it's when person have money to withdraw that you will want to deposit back into bank.
We don't even trust our banks anymore, not after what they did to us in 2022.

When you deposit, to withdraw it back is another problem.

Crime / Panic As Land Grabbers Terrorise Igbo Etche by jechona(m): 8:29pm On Feb 15
Serious Pandemonium now in Igbo Etche, Rivers State as land grabbers are bulldozing lands whether fenced or not and reselling them to other people.

The disheartening part is that they are being escorted by uniform men to perpetuate this evil and no one is doing anything about it.

Please people that have access or connection to the federal or state government should help us. We are loosing are little assets by the day.

Thank you.

You checked the list and the only thing you could see were tribes ?

You can crucify me for attempting to make findings on the matter but, note that we don't have different price of fuel for different tribes in the market.

Choose between keeping tribalism aside and build a better Nigeria and wallowing yourself with tribalism and kill Nigeria.

The choice is yours.

That is your business. Continue to deny your tribe. You people are always fond of denying your tribe on nairaland. You posted fake news here and there then claim wrong identify. Shame!

It's unfortunate that as educated as you are, you are doing what you accuse others of doing.

I thought you will make findings first and deal with facts, rather the opposite is the case. I feel very sorry for Nigeria with the mentality of the people in it.

You came here to create a thread on account of what the man told you, you didn't confirm or try to do any findings.
You are one of the problems we have in this country.
That said: It is really sad that the Igbo playing the victim card has gone so far that even when they are truly victims no one takes them serious again coupled with their loud mouth, its even possible your friend was bragging in the office about how he would rule then, same way they bragged about how they would rule yorubas right here in Lagos.
Unfortunately this might be true, but an Igbo man's word doesn't hold water #UnapologeticallySpeaking

You spoke well but, I wish we could keep this tribalism and victim matter aside and face the reality before us.

Career / Neco Deprives Igbo Staff From Writing Promotion Exam by jechona(m): 10:00pm On Feb 06
My neighbour who works with NECO came home some days ago frauning seriously, when I approached her on what the matter was, she told me that they were to write promotion exams in their office this February, after weeks of spending time and data on online lectures the list of staff to write the exams was published containing majorly northerners, westerners and little of other areas but, the igbos were omitted from the list.

I have been contemplating why such level of tribalism should be in a federal establishment.

Please, is there any other person from the east working with NECO to confirm this?

Proof of ownership is a latest development. It is about 1k and yearly.
Police clearance is new digital central motor registry, about 5 to 6k but not yearly.
From a WhatsApp page
Nigerian Police is at it again. This time around is what they call Police Central Motor Registry Information System (CMRIS). It costs 5k and it is yearly thing (was introduced by Tinubu). A friend and colleague of mine parted with 40k for not having it when he was stopped at police check point on a highway somewhere in the Southeast. They collected the 40k with abeg. Something that would have been done with not more than 6k. If you have not done yours, it takes about 20 minutes to do it online with the following information, your NIN, email address, phone number, vehicle registration number, the chassis number, the engine number, the vehicle colour, year of manufacture, model, make of the vehicle etc. Just go to NPF CMRIS https://cmris.npf.gov.ng/
follow the instructions to create a profile and make payment. The certificate will be sent to the email you provided. Then go to a business centre and print out a copy shikena.
The breakdown of the cost is as follows: Fee – N5,000.00, VAT – N375.00, bank charges - N190.00, printing about N200.00, total cost about N6,000.00. The beauty of it is that you can do it at the comfort of your home any time any day. Don’t fall a victim and spend unnecessarily with abeg. Do it now or meet someone who can do it to help you out. If you go to licensing office or police stations to do it, they collect as much as between 15k to 20k. Where Police demand for this is where they know that you do not have a choice (very lonely place and they know that you are at their mercy) other than to part with your hard-earned money. If you claim ignorance, they have a copy to show you there. They no dey smile o. Tell others cos information is power and many people are not aware of this and are falling victim every day.

I have tried applying for it through the link above but, am stock at the token. They are not sending me the token via text, email or call for me to proceed. Please what is the way out?

Road worthiness, MOT and proof of ownership .... 12.5k
Vehicle licence ... 3k

Total... 45.5k

And I was like wdf? Just to renew one car? Its like Tinubu is out to kill us. Please how much is it currently in your state?

They should have killed all those thieves that called themselves Amotekun. This is how they go about stealing our cows. But one day like this, we will deal with them as usual. We chased them to Benin Republic before and that didn't teach them anything. The mistake we made was not taking over the land. But it will still get to that and we won't show any mercy this time around.

What of your brothers that go around stealing peoples belongings from boat engines to oil, food etc in the SS with the aid of the military. What do we call them or do to them?

the judgement is very ok. What is wrong with it again?

Judgement withing 10 days since it is the government victimizing and individual is OK right? How many cases do we have pending in court for years without attention? How many time has the court judged a case and tell the government that it is wrong?

My brother/sister, we need to keep sentiments aside and tell ourselves the truth. Yes that fuel gifting is dangerous but, did the government provide fuel for it citizens at that time?
Is there any safety procedure for sharing fuel or law against sharing fuel in the constitution of this country?

People are abusing their offices and telling us how insignificant we are and we are here ignorantly supporting their wrong doings.

No. The sum what drivers used to pay in local government dues, garage cleaning dues, Ministry of transport dues and LASEPA used to be up to ₦3,000.

Now, the ₦3,000 has been moved into one single price of ₦800 which is a reduction in price so any driver who charges more is just been greedy.

Get it?

Common sence is not common.

If you are the bus driver and your tax is being reduced from 3k to 800, will you think of increasing fare? Please use your brain to pick out the lies.

Remember, this is Nigeria the only place that do the miracles Jesus could not do.
Business / How Much Are Petroleum Products In Your Area? by jechona(m): 8:54am On Nov 04, 2021
I have observed for a while that any time the army goes into the creeks to destroy bonkery camps and vessels or the supply of crude oil is turned off by the explorers, the price of kerosene and diesel keeps inflating ontil a week or two after the operation is over, even in nnpc filling stations.
Is it that diesel and keresene are no longer imported in this country? Yet we keep counting trillions of naira for subsidy and the rest.

Why not the government look into this situation and either empower the bonkers to do the right thing or the government do proper importation of petroleum products and stop the bonkers.

A litre of diesel in my place now is 600 naira while kerosene is 500 naira in the filling station but, fuel is still at 165 naira.

What is it like now in your area?
