A stingy husband is a man who has the money, but refuses to spend it on his family's essential needs.

A man earns 300k monthly. Every month he gives his wife and 4 children 50k housekeeping money.

He knows in his heart that 50k cannot feed, cloth and cater decently for a family of 6, especially with the high cost of things.

This is a stingy man.

Most women result to stealing from their stingy husband.

They take money from his pocket while he is sleeping or they inflate the school fees and other bills.

Here's the truth- Two wrongs do not make a right. Stealing from a stingy husband makes you a thief.

So let's learn the very practical ways to marry a stingy man.

1. Make your own money

The first rule of marrying a stingy man is to make your own money.

Woman, go and earn. Simple!

Notice in my definition of a stingy man, I explained he doesn't even cover the 'essential' needs. How much more your needs to wear Brazilian hair and fine clothes?

2. Communicate with him

Find the best way to explain to him that the money he gives is too small.

If talking works, talk.
If writing works, write.
If sex works, nicely mention it during sex.

3. Run the house with a budget

Buy a hardcover short note book and nicely write a budget for each month for him.

Remember to include all the home essentials and show him the budget.

At the end of the month, also show him what you actually spent compared to the budget.

Some husbands that we call stingy are really people who want accountability.

Even rich people have home budgets, so please don't fight this.

4. Contribute to the home financially

If you are a woman who earns some money, also show him that you contribute to the home.

If the budget for the month is 125k, show him that you have brought 40k and he should bring 85k.

Don't be that woman who uses all her money on herself, except the man specifically wants it so.

5. Have a feeding timetable.

Draw up a decent 3 square meals timetable for all days of the week.

Cost each meal and show him.

Remember to add some fruits and snacking for the family where possible.

6. Teach the kids and help not to waste things

When you are marrying a stingy man and you are throwing eba inside dustbin, sister, he will get worse o.

Cut out all forms of waste in the house. It is not even good to waste, whether or not you are marrying a stingy man.

7. Apply sense in accepting more people into the house

You know you are on a tight budget, why are inviting your sister's kids for vacation without having a meeting with our stingy oga about the increased cost and how you plan to cover it?

8. Pray about it

God is not too big for our prayers. The heart of the king is in his hands and he can do with it whatever he pleases.

Tell him that you want more financial commitment from your partner and see how he will do it.

9. Commit not to fight it using bad deeds.
No stealing from him
No gossiping about him.
No inflating bills to him.
No hating him on it.
No dating men outside.
Commit to fighting a good battle.

10. Understand that every marriage is different and you should approach marriage with your own unique case and wisdom

Understand his other financial commitments and show empathy.
Understand how to use kind words, everything is not fight.
Understand his earnings and stop comparing him with 'his mates'
Show understanding for your own unique marriage, but don't be a fool.

Finally, all points listed here may not apply to every one.

Take what works for you, use it or tweak it.

This is not a Bible that is cast on stone, this is my personal advice.

But even before you're given hiv antiretroviral drugs, you must do a confirmatory hiv antigen p24 blood test. And this blood will be taken directly from a vein. Not like the one taken when your thumb is punctured.

Please go for a confirmatory test first...

RVS means Retroviral Screening and the blood sample is collected directly from the vein

No they're naturally attracted to matured guys cos this century have proved that age is just a number , perhaps you were still behaving like a kid tho you were a teen or your twenties that is why the ladies didn't accept you.

Op this you're assertation is not entirely true . Many Nigeria women have woken up and are working towards their career. Currently I belong to a community of young women that are career oriented, smart and focused .Seeking personal development , self-aware, hardworking and not waiting on any man for upkeep .

On the other side of the coin , I've met many young women who can't wait to finish tertiary school so they could marry a wealthy man and supposedly 'suffer no more' . They see hardwork as suffer and you can hear them say things like 'if I get better boyfriend (cum husband) I'll not work but enjoy my self'...


This type of women have limiting mindset , many times tie their respect and honour to their man .

This mindset most times is one that the society taught them , that their view doesn't count, the pride and prize of a woman is a husband and children and she mustn't allow her career to ruin this prize .
