yom2: OK. Market can reverse any time Issorite, I really wish some of us are privileged to the info some people have access to but some of us doesn't. For someone to be shouting bull and they never grind beans in December and suddenly tell you to sell in January. We should know he has privileged info and the more reason I chatted him privately on what happened. There are some things we cant discuss on a public forum. It's well, truly we have Men in Black in NSE. I used to have direct access to Fidelity result before it was released to the public but when my guy left the country and relocated to Canada, that insider info was gone. He cant buy during those close period because he was an insider but I used to buy based on those info he usually feel me in. In this NSE, the more u look, the less u see. We will be alright las las. |

Mcy56: Baba Jeje you see road. I saw the result too.........but guess people no longer have faith in the stock again. I no check the result ooo na Teni said ABC Transport just announced a profit of N211 million after tax. That approximately 31% returns at the current price of .41 kobo. While it may not be one of the most popular companies in Nigeria and has had a few years of struggling, it remains one of the biggest brands in cross country road transport. In 2019 they made N2.3 billion from trips, N1.19b from haulage, N1.6 billion from load and waybill and N1.7b from selling off their old vehicles. While it is a positive result, it still remains a small margin business with high administrative costs which mean that while they may be making good money, most of the money goes into paying of staff salaries and lots of other business expenses. This may make it an unattractive company for investors because there isnt enough profit margin to make sizable profits by virtue of the business model. Nonetheless, it is a valuable business with useful service to the society. So their work is appreciated. They also spent N1.2 billion on fuel alone in 2019! Whew! Thats alot of fuel. |

emmanuelewumi: Oando made a mistake by being too optimistic. The company bought the asset of Conoco Phillips at about $1.4 billion when COP was living Nigeria. They bought the asset when crude oil was selling at around $100 per barrel, not quite long after the purchase by Oando.
The issue between Saudi, OPEC and Shale Oil producers, this imbroglio made the price of crude oil to go down to as low as $20 per barrel due to price war between OPEC cartel and Shale Oil guys in North America.
This disruption, adversely affected the projection of Oando. Oando made a record loss after tax of over N220 billion in corporate Nigeria around 2017.
@ Jejebaba please correct me if I am wrong. You are a professional in that sector You are right sir and even Warren Buffet made a similar mistake by buying ConocoPhillips in USA as well. But he was lucky to sell at a marginal profit when it rose. Investing in oil and gas is risky considering all these environmentalist of going green. Most IOC's are also divesting from the sector by selling their assets in USA and canada especially. Just last week, Schlumberger booked a loss of 10 billion dollars for the year 2019. In all God help Nigeria that is fully dependent on oil and gas. Yhe industry ain't finding it funny anymore sir. |

Bomboclad: Chief, just saw your comment. The future value of FO stock price lies with the new Management and their announcements. Any movements you currently see is artificial and individual-based not a collective sentiment; tantamount to gambling. Some others are buying hoping for a big announcement during forthcoming YE result announcement (since they've been reporting fantastic increases YOY on PAT). Personally, I have since moved off this stock till further notice. Thanks sir for your response. |

thebargainhunte: You wouldn't understand what they did to me. When ever I run statement of account command, it shows me that I bought certain number of shares yesterday, instead of the said number of units to appear on my portfolio, it is far lesser than the amount the statement of account is showing me. The one the statement of account is showing me is the actual quantity I ordered yesterday. I didn't sell the share and it is not reflecting on the statement of account that the missing units were sold out. This was a transaction I carried out yesterday cos I like to tie my money on a stock instead of leaving it on my Morgan account. Oga mi sir, this is normal thing now if you had a bonus issue with the stock before. It will debit it on Morgan platform but the whole unit is still with CSCS. If you want to know, quickly put a sale order of the total units you actually bought at maximum price of the day. U will see that it will go then u can quickly cancel it so it doesn't get filled up by a buyer. |
