Godlylifeoneart: Veritas is stressless, I think they are the benchmark of registrar services in Nigeria. A mail with supporting documents and relevant information will solve the problem.. My experience with them was second to none in term of service delivery. I am of the opinion that they haven't changed the quality of their service.

Harvestock01: Trust is a personal issue. I guess that was why Agba used "I" in the first instance, he already personalized it. For me also, I stopped trusting people with my money as well after series of experience. I have been able to discover that, people can be sincere and be sincerely wrong in life. Running a successful businesses is not moimoi and let alone someone with element of greed in him. It cut across nationalities and race. Bernie Madoff is a case study and Jho Low who defrauded his own country- Malaysian wealth fund of billions of dollars. |

bigjay01: To an extent you are right.
In 2007, I exchanged £1=N250 ish. Today £1=£440, this implies ~44% exchange loss.
I have a few shares bought in 2007 that have done more than 4 baggers.
I am currently holding Nascon I bought May and Aug 09 for an average of N3.50. No amount of xchange loss can wipe away all the baggers (for now anyway) I am currently holding truck loads of NEM at an average of 56k. etc
There are also a few not-so-good moves (aka school fees) Big treat, Oceanic, Multiverse, Chams, Dunlop and a few other insurance stocks
Dividend-paying long termers still pays (for me anyway) Respect sir. Thanks for the explanation. You are absolutely right on the compounded returns, it beats devaluation since devaluation is not a yearly thing while dividend is a yearly thing compounded over time. When i grow up, i wanna be like you sir. |

My old man is 83, he still has a lot of shares bought in the 70s.
I can preach a very good sermon on long term holding Oga mi sir. I am shocked to hear this from you oo especially knowing that you earn in forex and your expenses are in pounds. I hope you are doing the true yield (in GBP) on your investment sha. If someone whose expenses is in Naira, i might decided not to reply but coming from a person in diaspora, we need to keep things in the right perspective. |

Agbalowomeri: That is how the capitalist economies operate, to keep people in perpetual debt. Meanwhile, if you request for the same $28k loan in cash, it's likely to take more stringent conditions Exactly what i am trying to do now. So many stringent conditions attached and so many paperwork sef to guarantee the loan in case of job loss. They are now asking me to fill a form that in case of job loss, my end of service benefit will be used to liquidate the loan. |

emmanuelewumi: Never take a loan to buy a personal car because it loses 20% of its value immediately you drive the car out from the dealer's shop. But people still take loans to buy personal cars. I can relate well to this. Took a car finance loan to purchase a car of $28k (if i pay cash) but with car loan ended up paying $33k. I was shocked when i wanted to return the car to the dealer in 2016 with the hope of being transferred to another country. The dealer asked me to return the car and also add $8k to it, this was when i already paid cummulative amount of $13k already as loan. I decided not to return the car thereafter after seeing it as rip off. Fast forward to June 2019 when i wanted to make my car insurance and was shocked to discover that, the car was valued for $6700. Imagine a car of $28k cash in 2014 now valued for less than $7k in 2019 without any accident and scratch. Lesson learnt not to buy a new car in the interim especially when still hustling to achieve financial independence. |

Chibuking81: Truly they improve in their q2 2019 eps of about 62 kobo against q2 2018 EPs of about 24 kobo, But UAC at their current price of 5.80 to compared with other stocks, I think some stocks has better earning, like comparing it with zenith, Access, UBA and FCMB at #1.62, with 2019 EPs of 38 kobo against 2018 q2 of 29 kobo.
This means 1.62 * 3.55 of FCMB will be #5.75 and EPs will be 1.37 kobo compared with UACN of 62 kobo
UAC improved in their 2019 q2 compared with their previous quarter, but there are many cheaper stock compared with their current earning and price. Its a good buy for diversification and for medium to long term, after one has taken some position in the others good bonanza offered price My boss, stop comparing stocks in different sector together. How can you be comparing FMCG EPS with Banking EPS, its not done sir. Different fundamentals drives them. Banking sectors are always known to have low PE ratio compared to other sectors. If you keep doing like this, you might not see any reason to diversify to other sectors other than banking. |
