Coolcash1: Your analysis is wrong Emma. You are only looking at the nominal value, you need to consider impact of inflation and exchange rate. When these factors are considered, the value never be that high. Coolcash, even at that, its a huge ROI In 2000, 10 million naira was 95,238 USD using parallel market exchange rate and today, the 450M naira is around 933,000 USD. Its almost 900% return in 21 years which is not bad. |

There r a lot of people that can cough out 20 million.....
Don't get trapped by the narrative out there....... Take a good look around u, in Lagos for example, the rate at which storey buildings are going up makes u wonder if cement is truely 3800 per bag, right now u need a minimum of 30million to finish a storey building Guess it should be more than 30M oo except you are talking about 3 or 4 BR duplex. |

Ades1: 20m though, how many people for Naija get 20M?
Everything just get K leg for for that country I guess the 20M is even lenient. I think its min of 50M naira for OMO and also min of $200k for Eurobonds. Guess, a lot of Nigerians have it and that is why they are usually oversubscribed. |

I have my own CSCS account with an active broker, I don't know if it is possible to transfer the shares Are you her only child? If not, why not let her activate her stock brokerage account with an active stock broker then she can transfer it to the new broker. |

gamaliel9: On my suspended account by Arm Securities, they replied me saying that they are sorry for it, THAT IT WAS A SYSTEM GLITCH which has been rectified. I will buy again tomorrow to confirm.
On Ecobank debiting and clearing all kobo from my account based on new CBN policy on cryptos, after repeated mails and live chats, they are still replying that investigation is going on and will report back to me. After waiting since February 11th 2021, I decided to report them to consumer protection department of CBN[ cpd@cbn.gov.ng]. This evening CBN replied me that they are on my case and will reply me in due course.

will007: If I may ask, what metrics informed your decision aside from experience? When u see oil prices crashing and u have forex u don’t want to put in equities, the best thing to do is to lock it up in dollar funds to at least preserve your capital from losing value after devaluation. It’s also a way of diversifying your assets and for someone that also have forex expenses. |

So I don't really have a time horizon. I have a price target of $3k for gold and $130 for oil Oga Nosa, this is overly optimistic about the oil price sir. There is no fundamentals now and in the nearest future to even justify $70 of oil. The future of oil is gloomy. |

BrokerHaruna: We warned that danger looms on Nigerian banks. The poor economy is constraining them while the CBN's erratic and irrational policies are suffocating them, destroying values as fallouts. To give an idea of the extent of the crisis, Zenith bank has limited use of their debit cards to maximum $200 per month! The crisis is serious. You are even lucky in Nigeria, for example, in Pakistan and Lebanon, you have restrictions on the dollars in your dorm account. Imagine someone telling you how you can spend the dollars you source for and deposited in your bank account and many other countries have such restrictions as well but in Nigeria, you still have unlimited restrictions on the wired dollars in your dollar account. I hope our situation won’t get worse to that of other countries. |

nosa2: I am over bearish (if such a thing exists). How anyone could be bullish is beyond me.
On the bright side thou, the coming global inflation should see a significant rise in oil prices but knowing Nigeria we would find a way to mess that opportunity up. Ok boss, thanks. Hopefully, Nigeria would have learnt his lesson and take advantage of the bullish oil when it comes. |
