Sorry

1000 units bought at N5000 in 2001, would have grown to 7157 units valued at over N200,000 in 2019.

Although GTB is currently undervalued at the current price of N28 per share.

Thanks at Jejebaba for the correction

Although 1000 units invested by early investor in 1993 would have grown to over 100,000 units in 2019
Ok sir, well noted. Thanks, well appreciated.

I will advise you spread the money between bonds, Treasury Bills, money market funds and Eurobond.
We are not sure of the future of the Naira in 2 years time.

If you are like me I will also consider investing in stocks like Nestle, Dangote cement, Zenith and GTB.

N1 million invested in GTB in 2000 is now worth over N100 million, the dividend received in 2018 is 10 times the amount invested.
Sir, if you dont mind can you do the analysis because i am arriving at around 30 million naira for an initial investment of 1 million naira in 2000 (guess GTB was sold for 5 naira during that IPO which gave around 200k units then, then they declared bonuses and dividends).
Thanks.

Please make that 8 A(s) sir.

I happened to be at the 164th Founders Day Celebration of my Alma mata a few weeks ago.

My name is on the deux board for my set (1995)

Note: My result in English language was previously with held.
Guy, na Lagos Baptist Academy, Obanikoro you went to. U be real Efiwe to be honest, I was initially doubting you the way you burnt someone else funds. The guy actually had the claimed results but I might not know how that has truly translated to his real life achievement though. Funny enough, the guy should be in his 40.

I was sleeping and just wake up and found out I have almost 8 pages to read in NSEMPA in less than 12 hours this only happens when there is a crazy bull in NSE. Time will tell once I get to this current page to prove if this theory is right this time.

Bosses, brace up for the bull please. Let us not be in a hurry to sell
Rates fell badly today as a result of excess liquidities due to the CBN policies on OMO bills
Today's primary auction results
91 days- 7.798%
182 days- 9%
364 days- 10%
Please kindly note as a caution that, these bull will be short lived the moment the 4 trillions naira excess liquidity fully matured which is expected to lapse on or before April 2020.

who remember those days Godisfaithful aka Myjoy use to be permanently bullish on nse grin

reverse is the case now

this mkt eenh cheesy

grin grin grin grin
I remembered very well. Truly,
There are 2 types of traders in the market :
1. Those that are humble and
2. Those that will be humbled.
Oga Godisfaithful was forcefully humbled by Mr Market via oando and had to change moniker from Myjoy08. But this humbleness was extreme and made him permanently bearish on NSE. I really pray he doesn't miss this coming "bull". Worse case was when he bought $ at peak of 500/$ hoping to sell at 1000/$.
"Wuked" market with woundjurement. The same oando sent Prof Ucheson on permanent exile.

Let's migrate to your thread on stocks before they shout for us here.....

But quickly , suretrader is down and out, they've given their customers two options either to continue with f11trade as their new clearing broker or to transfer their funds out before 8th Nov. And if u fail to transfer out they will automatically transfer u to f1trade.

My worry is that f1trade is a CFD broker.....lets move over to ur thread on stocks before wahala bust here.
Ok boss, thanks. It's well appreciated.

Guys, regarding bonds.

I was told these are the rates
10.9 for 2yrs
11.36 for 3 yrs.

How come someone was quoting 16.2% for yields in bonds, how is it calculated cos most bank staff have no clue.
You are talking about FGN savings bond while the are talking about FG bonds. There is difference please.

Aww....boss, suretrader had issues, they parted ways with there clearing broker. They would now be called F1trade.

Whatever u need....just ask....
Thanks boss, I received an email from them 5 days ago though and are we still allowed to trade US stocks with them or we have to open a new account with F1trade or it will be automatically be migrated to F1trade.

See better rates; and someone was saying Nigeria has one of the best rates in the world. I will make enquiry. Thank you.

CBN under Emefiele is a disaster.
You welcome.
If you use GTB, this might help both whatsapp and contact details is there. Afterall, our own CBN still allows foreign investors in OMO and treasury bills so Ghana should allow us too as foreign investors.

He's trying to encourage you and I, and other insitutional investors to invest in the real economy. Following this move, I expect the rates to go lower.
Our TBills rates are among the highest.
Boss, not everyone of us can invest in real sector as some people lives abroad and judging from past experiences with family and friends handling businesses without owners presence was bad for me. In life, people can be sincere and be sincerely wrong which sometimes lead to business failures. Some of us maintain our sanity by investing in money market instruments like Tbills, bonds, CP and co.

Guys serious trouble is looming as from Nov 29. If you have opportunity to lock your fund now for longer terms above 10% please do so asap. Treasury bills might go lower to single digits rate if care is not taken with all these CBN monetary policies. I never expected Emefiele to go this "low".
