No... what's sad is, it appears that all the negative comments about Obama, liberals or the democratic party shows ignorance. If you are ONLY going by the debate and have not been engaged in the everyday topics and interviews and statements made out of Romney's own mouth regarding taxes and how he won't come clean with his own taxes shows he is hiding and is not an honest man! Romney discussions on how he would handle healthcare for ppl that don't have health insurance... for them to just go to the emergency room and how he down grades 47% of the country and he's not worried about them, or his views about Medicare, Medicaid and health choices about or bodies we are in AMERICA there should be NO ONE deprived of health care AMERICA takes care of our own!!! Romney has has changed and retracted so many of his comments and lied so many times..very badly I might add, It has been like a tennis match trying to keep up. He is constantly changing and recanting his own words just to get the vote!! GOD FORBIDS HE GET INTO OFFICE! I suggest for all the individuals not educated about the daily events and making all the ignorant comments please educate yourself by watching MSNBC to truly understand what will happen if Romney is elected. And for those who have voted already for Obama stand straight, and be proud that you are on the Obama team. *Liberian coach boasts

*Says: we've no respect for your Eagles

Liberian coach, Smith Kaetu declared yesterday that they have no respect for the big name players in the Eagles squad. He added that Liberia was here to get the desired result and qualify for the 2013 Nations Cup in South Africa.

The Lone Star coach stated that if Guinea could come to Abuja and get the result that saw them stop Nigeria from qualifying for the last Nations Cup in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea last January, Liberia could equally do the same.

"Personally, I am not afraid of the Nigerian team whether it is home-based or (overseas) professionals.

"Nigeria aren't like before, because they are living in the past. If Togo can qualify for the World Cup (in 2006) and Guinea could qualify at their expense in the last Afcon qualifier, Liberia can do same too," said the coach.

Celebrities / I Can Still Work With Don Jazzy -d'banj by jellyloveb(f): 10:28pm On Oct 12, 2012
In a major interview post 'Mo Hits, DB/Good Music/Mercury/IDJ artiste, Dapo Oyebanjo popularly called D'banj, sought to lay to rest various allegations and rumours being peddled about him, in an exclusive interview he granted a Lagos State based radio station, Cool FM.

The artiste, who lists Why Me as his break out song, also spoke on chances of reconciling with former partner and friend Don Jazzy. Asked if there were chances that both parties may reconcile, he said “We can always work together and Don Jazzy still produced some songs on my forthcoming album. Yes we can work together in future. Maybe a big company can pay a lot of money for us to perform and yes it has to be a lot of money for me.”

Although the separation remains fresh in the minds of the public since the break-up made public in March this year, the singer appeared to be still be nursing the wounds. He appeared overwhelmed with emotions when the interviewer referred to Don Jazzy as his friend. To this he went metaphorical saying, “What do you guys call friends, I mean I had friends for nine years and you guys saw what happened after the divorce. I lost custody of my children (signees) apart from the one I had out of wedlock.”

D'banj also said he was boss of defunct Mo Hits Record by claiming that it was his record label D'Banj (DB) Records that went into partnership with Kanye West's G.O.O.D and not Mo'Hit.

Ever since the singer was officially signed on to West's G.O.O.D Music label in July, he was rumoured to have joined the dreaded Iluminati Cult, which is alleged to be home to a number of American celebrities, including West. In defence, D'banj said, “I don't know anything about the Illuminati. When I wanted to travel out of Nigeria for the first time I collected my international passport from Bishop David Oyedepo. That shows that I owe my success to God. If my success is too fast for people or they cannot understand it please don't attribute it to illuminati. I feel very offended when that is being said because it simply translates to giving God's glory to another person which He does not share with anyone. God will strike anyone who attributes my success to someone else.”

To the allegations of an existing relationship with Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji, he said, “I am very single, and Genevieve is my friend. I have been saying this for over a year since we shot the Fall in Love video. Can't you people just see fine boy and fine girl in a video kissing each other and not think anyhow?”

Although the singer who released his debut album, No Long Thing in 2005, was recently featured on West's Cruel Summer CD inlay and a couple of other singles, he has been criticised for 'leaving his kingship in Nigeria to become a prince in America.'

Amidst laughter, Dbanj replied, “Did I change the crown? I only carried my crown to the US. People are just confused but the truth is I am still a king wherever I am. Being in a different country and culture I had to study the environment which is what I am still doing. I actually thought I would release my album in America but my label thought UK would be better because I have a bigger fan base there. I weighed my options remember everything did not come from me so I had to do what I did to move on.”

The singer, who revealed that his mother allowed him to travel to the UK in 2002 with a condition that he would spend just two months there, describes social media network as platform for idle talk.

“I am too busy for social media, please. If you people want to talk to me go to TV or radio I don't go to social media except I have something to say. I never give out recharge cards on Twitter (laughs) even when I was with Globacom I never did that. If you want to do that why not help a charity instead.”

They can burn our bible but no one is allowed to burn their Koran. The double standard is so rampant in all of this mess.
Foreign Affairs / Egyptian Muslim Cleric Burns Christian Bible by jellyloveb(f): 8:45pm On Sep 26, 2012
Muslim cleric Abu Islam Burns the Holy Bible in front of thousands of Muslims at protest outside the US Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, on Tuesday. His action was met with applause and anti-Christian cheers from the demonstrators. The cleric, before leaving the demonstration and getting into his car, told the crowds “next time I will urinate on it.”

Abu Islam holds another Bible and says: This is the book the dog Terry believes in, as well as those dogs with him the Egyptian Christians in America. Abu Islam: Today I can only TEAR IT APART. He starts tearing the bible and throwing the leaves towards the mob, amid chants of Allahu Akbar and “Khaybar, Khaybar, O Jews, the army of Mohammad is coming.”

It’s hard to say whether Abu Islam is under the impression that American Christians are Jews or that Muslims are so deprived of chants that they stick with the one they know. Since Muslim culture is deprived and Muslims have been known to call Americans, “Jews” both are possible.

I like the peace. It makes him seem so peaceful and reminds us all that Islam truly is a religion of peace. Also death.
We breathlessly await President Morsi phoning Obama to apologize for this act of disrespect toward his religion while promising to prosecute Abu Islam. We also breathlessly await the flying pigs that will bear Morsi on an apology tour of the Christian world to say how sorry he is and ask the Christians to stop attacking Egyptian embassies.

Romance / Billionaire Offered $65m To Any Man Able To Woo And Marry His Lesbian Daughter. by jellyloveb(f): 8:00pm On Sep 26, 2012
A well-known Hong Kong billionaire has offered $65m (£40m) to any man able to woo and marry his lesbian daughter.

Property and shipping tycoon Cecil Chao publicly promised the "marriage bounty" after reports emerged that his daughter had wed her long-term girlfriend.

Mr Chao, who has never married himself, told the BBC his daughter was still single and needed a "good husband".

Same-sex unions are not recognised in Hong Kong, although homosexuality was decriminalised in 1991.

Gigi Chao, a businesswoman and graduate from the University of Manchester, is said to have married her female partner of seven years, Sean Eav, in a ceremony in France earlier this year.

But her flamboyant father rejected the claims as false, adding that his generous offer had already generated many replies from potential suitors.

"It is an inducement to attract someone who has the talent but not the capital to start his own business," Mr Chao said.

"I don't mind whether he is rich or poor. The important thing is that he is generous and kind-hearted.

"Gigi is a very good woman with both talents and looks. She is devoted to her parents, is generous and does volunteer work."

His public hunt for a husband notwithstanding, Mr Chao insisted he would not force his daughter to marry a man against her will.

Ms Chao said she found her father's plan entertaining and would not worry about it until an actual suitor had been found.

Romance / Re: Career Women Are Prone To Divorce: True? by jellyloveb(f): 9:34pm On Sep 25, 2012
I have lots and lots of female friends who married young, no career, stayed at home, had children... The main reason that they aren’t divorced? Because in every instance they cannot afford to leave the man. They aren’t happy – they simply are not in a financial situation because of no career prospects to leave. I currently only know two women who are happy in their marriages. Additionally, many of the married men I know run single career girl lady friends because in their 30′s and 40′s these are the women that (as a few of those men have put it) are the ones that I now aspire to having a successful career myself – but, and here’s the rub ….. They want that well educated, well presented career girl to give up and be the little stay at home second wife which simply doesn’t work.
Romance / Re: Career Women Are Prone To Divorce: True? by jellyloveb(f): 8:52pm On Sep 25, 2012
This article is a sexist diatribe so men can point to “scientific” evidence on why they can marry a non-threatening woman who’s only life is catering to them. I don’t approve of women being stay at home consumers; millions of women have raised kids and worked outside the home. It’s only recently that there’s been this push to keep us tied to the stove. I appreciate a hardworking man but if he can’t handle me being a financial support to our family then he isn’t man enough for me. Go find your stay at home woman, who thinks driving to soccer games and spending your money is work. You deserve what you get.

And then you’ll divorce him and take the kids and house.

Yep. That’s MY plan anyway! To work hard on a relationship, have a good career, hopefully get married to a kind and loving man one day, just so I can claim our mutual assets as our own.

WOW you’ve really got all us awful women figured out, it’s a wonder you’re not happily married yourself!
Romance / Re: Career Women Are Prone To Divorce: True? by jellyloveb(f): 8:34pm On Sep 25, 2012
White007: Career woman are disgusting. You dont hear men running around yelling,I am independant and strong, you know why, because we are,we are born this way and its nothing in our lives we have had to achieve.

If your a woman and want to be a career woman,”a professional”which most of the time for woman, especially when they look for mates is code for goldigger. If they are professional themselves like even most men, they are just greedy useless consumers.

Kids to woman are like trinkets, toys. No one wants them so they literally have children to have friends that wont run away from them. There is nothing worst than a woman who has children, who is single, with no reliable man around or way to provide for the child who was just looking for a sperm donor because disney taught them they were princesses from day one,and feminism taught them they were better than men and sexual gods, and didnt need a father around.

Fast forward to today.Woman are single, unwanted, with children from different babies daddies, going to school, working full time and raising the children all by themselves which guarantees most men will run from them.

Basically woman are born with a lawyer and a pair of boxing gloves.Yippy hooray for the alpha female whos womans rights movement was coopted by the socialists to destroy america by putting two alphas in a home.Men are born alpha, woman have to be made that way which in my opinion shows “tinkering”by elements in the Usa that want to destroy it.Its straight up gender war fare, our woman have stopped being woman and act like men which is truly disgusting. Why am I going to treat a woman like a queen just because she has a warm body,is 98.6 degrees and brings nothing to the table but drama,a crew cut and a business suit??

You might try a better class of woman. You clearly have issues with women in general. I have a career and my hair is down past my shoulders, lol. And I’ll work, like millions of women throughout history have done. And a PRINCESS by the way, can be a woman who thinks that because she got pregnant that the whole world has to take care of her. The kind of women who use men as sperm donors and financial support aren’t likely to be working women. We can support ourselves without trapping some guy into a loveless marriage. Get some help before you meet a good woman and destroy her.

Our relationship has been very wonderful and she has been very good to me. My first apartment after getting the job was a cheap roach infested place. She would travel two hours every Friday to spend the weekend with me. Despite the hardship of our surrounding, we were happy just being with one another. This girl loves me and her loyalty to me has been unflinching.

What else are looking for? The bolded says it all! She travel 2hours every Friday just so she could be with you in your roach invested crib.

Do you need a rocket science to tell you that she loves you?

And btw, stop generalizing, b'cuz Mr A and B got married to an AA, and their union ended in divorce, it doesn't mean yours will be turn out to be the same.
Romance / Re: Should I Marry My African American Girlfriend? by jellyloveb(f): 6:38pm On Sep 24, 2012
@Poster, like some people rightly said before me, there is no guarantee in life. Especially when it comes to marriage. What makes you think that any Nigeria girl you 'll choose to marry in the future will love you for who you are? And if you choose to marry a Nigerian girl today, you know you 'll have to start from scratch to get to know her very well before you 'll even think of marriage. So, i 'll advise you to think twice before you make a decision that may hunt you for the rest of your life.

Like someone said before me, I 'll also stick to any man that was there for me in my most difficult time, b'cuz that is how you know someone who really loves you.

Politics / Wealthy Nigerians Spend $6.5bn On 130 Private Jets by jellyloveb(f): 8:13pm On Sep 17, 2012
The growing penchant for private jets acquisition has cost wealthy Nigerians a sum of $6.5bn (N1.02tn) in the last five years. Aviation sources reveal that the luxury trend, which rose by 650 per cent between 2007 and 2012, is encouraged among the rich by the need for privacy, fear of insecurity and the urgency required by modern business, TUNJI ABIOYE reports

Private jet ownership in Nigeria has grown by 650 per cent, from 20 jets in 2007 to over 150 jets in 2012.

According to documents sighted in aviation agencies, the development means that wealthy Nigerians acquired, at least, 130 private jets with a sum of N1.02tn ($6.5bn) within the last five years.

This put the private jets aviation market in Nigeria (the monetary value of all private jets in the country) at N1.18tn ($7.5bn), using $50m as the average cost of each brand new private jet.

A private jet goes for between $40m and $65m, according to the websites of major private jets manufacturers, like Bombardier of Canada; GulfStream and Hawker Siddley of United States; and Embraer of Brazil.

According to findings, the common brands of private jets in Nigeria are Gulfstream 450, 550 and 650; Bombardier Challenger 604, 605; Global Express; Embraer Legacy and Falcons; and Hawker Siddley 125-800 and 900XP.

Top aviation officials told our correspondent on Friday that Nigeria currently rivalled China as one of the two fastest growing private jet markets in the world.

An official with in-depth knowledge of the situation, who spoke under condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to comment on the matter, said most of the jets were bought by top politicians, oil magnates and other business moguls in Nigeria.

He explained that the economic downturn in Europe and the United States had made Nigeria and China to become two of the fastest growing private jet markets in the world.

He said, "Two countries buying private jets now are China and Nigeria. Europe and America are going through turmoil; so, their people are no more buying. This accounts for the trend that whenever some of the private jet manufacturers develop any new jet, they take them to Nigeria and China."

"The private jets in Nigeria are owned by top politicians, oil magnates and business moguls. It is difficult to get the real identities of owners of some of the private jets in Nigeria because they buy them through some foreign companies in North America, especially the US. The foreign company then leases it to another company in Nigeria."

Investigation by our correspondent also revealed that there were still several private jets on order by wealthy Nigerians. Some of the jets, it was learnt, would be delivered this year, while others would be delivered in 2013 and 2014.

A top official of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, who asked not to be named, said representatives of the owners of the private jets on order had already notified the agency about the order. This, he said, was necessary for the purpose of registering the aircraft in Nigeria. According to him, some of the private jets also come with foreign registration credentials.

The Managing Director of Aero Airlines, Captain Akin George, had recently commented on the increasing number of private jets being parked at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

He particularly lamented the fact that most of the private jets carried foreign registration credentials. He had subsequently called on the authorities concerned in the country to make registration processes in Nigeria friendly and attractive.

During a recent visit to Abuja, our correspondent observed that over 40 private jets were parked at the terminal.

The CEO of another airline also said that during political meetings or big functions in Abuja, over 50 private jets were usually seen parked at the Abuja airport.

These, he said, were different from the ones parked at the Lagos and other major airports across the country.

"If you go to the old local wing at the Abuja airport, there is virtually no place to park private jets again," he said

Just on Thursday, a team of officials from the headquarters of Bombardier in Canada arrived at the Executjets Private Hangar at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, to showcase one of their latest private jets, Global 6000.

The team was led by the Sales Director, Africa, Bombardier Business Aircraft, Mr. Robert Habjanic, who said that the team was on a tour of 12 cities in Africa, including Lagos. Habjanic, who spoke with a few aviation journalists, told our correspondent that Nigeria was the company's largest market in Africa, with about 35 Bombardier-made business aircraft currently flying its airspace.

He said the team had also showcased the relatively new business jet in other parts of the world.

He confirmed that "private business in Nigeria has been growing tremendously in the last five years."

He attributed this to the fact that "Nigeria is an emerging market."

The growth in the purchase of private jets in Nigeria has also led to the development of multimillion dollars private jets hangars, where repairs and maintenance could be done in the country. Some of these include Execujets Nigeria Hangar, Caverton Hangar and EverGreen Hangar, all located at the Lagos airport.

Speaking on the development, industry expert, Mr. Olumide Ohunayo, said, "The economy is expanding, with increasing investments within the country and the region. This will invariably necessitate instantaneous travel that scheduled airlines cannot provide.

"Also the privacy needed in a country filled with paparazzi can be an issue. Increasing political and religious issues are contributory. By and large, it will continue to increase if the economy continues with a lot of diversification inputs that naturally spread wealth."
