The fact that we are yet to have xhaka and toreira in this team is a kinda frightening to see the selection headache for unai . Its still pre-season but already there is a sense of aggressiveness building up and the coach trying to enforce his personality on the team. Great to see Arsenal pressing teams aggressively again.

Belerin for me still needs to work hard on a lot of things apart from pace which he has. A top four in unais first season would be an achievement in my own opinion.

Every revenue raised in the missionary sch, is plunged back to the sch because investment in education never ends. I'm running a doctorate program in Uniport and I had to visit a lecturer at covenant university for clarification. In a chat with the lecturer, she said she was lured from a university in the UK, and cannot work in a govt funded university in Nigeria. The one week I spent in covenant I did not see power go off.
if only our govt could start here at least. Whether we like it or not some sort of kudos has to be given to the church

TravelRe: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by Jencejyde(m): 10:10am On Oct 29, 2017
Hmmm. First and foremost I'm proud to be Nigerian but not happy with the way Nigeria is. The argument has two sides but let me share this. I once met a lady on a flight from us to Dubai and we had a long interesting conversation. Guess what ? She is Egyptian by birth but now American after living there for close to 30 years and she said something that forever will strike me. She said she will always be an Egyptian by heart and soul but her allegiance will forever be American simply because there is RULE OF LAW.

Having looked at the arguments here one thing I can say is that until there is the rule of law operating as it should. There is no way a Nigerian is living a better life than the American. No matter whether he his hustling or doing menial jobs. I won't start a whole new debate on this but truly this is deep and life constitutes equality and justice most importantly amongst other things which we sadly do not have here and honestly will take a miracle to happen soonest. I'll just leave it here like this.

Shambolic and disgraceful. It's just 3 games but it's already terrible watching arsenal . Whether it's players contracts the manager or the board. It's already a season with struggles. Well I'd be surprised and very surprised if arsene makes it to the end of season if they keep playing like this. And for crying out loud where is all the promise of change and new signings. Already it looks like so many players want out. Kinda like mouhs last season with Chelsea playing out here. Hopefully they sort all that out with the two weeks break but even at that it's just a shame

Whoever is talking sense in AW should keep on doing it till the end of the season oh. Finally The man has realized that you need to always give teams an element of Surprise. Big ups not only to the subs but to the change of tactics which saw us switch from 3-4-3 to more of a 4-4-2 .

And Lacazette. Finally the arsenal type striker some of us have been crying out for ages . Still a long season but this looks interesting already and if the Lemar deal can come through then well, its about to become even more exciting. However, work still needs to be done defensively albeit a makeshift defence

Theo! Hmmm! Well as someone who not only criticizes his performances over time but also stating that he can become a great player and threat to any defence. then id have to say now that in my own oipinon, his ATTITUDE has changed.

This has been my main grouse against the lad and it's not his fault that Arsenal goes missing as a whole team in some games which is down to the whole team lacking the right attitude and approach to some games. His work rate especially OFF the ball. He has pace and i see no reason why he cant get up and DOWN the flanks nullifying any of the opponents threat on his flank and at the same time creating offensive threats.

But now i see a Theo that is ready to work tirelessly ON an OFF the ball. This is one critical aspect of the game which players especially wingers must be disciplined at. Athletico Madrid is a prime example of work ethic and thats why they hardly lose games against any opposition. Its not like they have star players but their work ethic as a team is the best i have seen across all European leagues right now.

Heard Mustafi has also had an influence on the teams attitude going into games which explains why we start well in the first 20 minutes compared to some games where we had to concede a goal before realizing we are actually playing a game.

The next thing is CONSISTENCY. I really do hope that the whole team and and Theo can Consistently churn out the types of performances we have seen so far, at least 80 percent consistency rate.

Overall the team is looking good at the moment and bar any surge of injuries to key players, then hopefully it would be a good season.

So you think transfers are arranged in dreamland?

The Board has been working to get new signings since June. For your information, Arsenal had bids for Griezmann, Vardy and Lacazette. Their problem is not willingness to sign their problem is they are miserly. Hence Perez was a lower option, and his deal has been in place since January.

Transfer can take weeks or months to materialise. For example, why do you think Arsenal has not yet announced Mustafi and Perez? Deal is still in progress.
Dreamland? really?! So you are part of the Arsenal board now abi?

Well miserly i quite agree but in a world were prices are inflated which everyone knows, being miserly means you are still on a long thing. I'm not buying the crap of working since june when you end up not paying what is expected to finalize it. No one said transfers don't take time, but in my own opinion Arsene and the Boards hands were forced on this ones with injuries and fans agitation most especially with the way Mo and Pep and Conte have set up their squads.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jencejyde(m): 9:42am On Aug 30, 2016
So Aw has finally buckled under the pressure of having to deal with pep, mourhino and co who have increasingly added strong re-inforcments to their squads as well as being his nemesis for such long periods.

Shout out to all the ex-arsenal players for continually criticizing him on and off-air. I mean its just ridiculous to think you would survive even a top-four spot with no quality additions to the squad.

I think the whole Arsenal board just woke up from the slumber to realize you cant have OG as your first choice striker and expect to challenge seriously for top-honors plus the lethargy we have on right side of midfield was becoming too annoying.

Its early days but i suspect that Ozil and sanchez have had a big part in the mix of things on and off the field especially has they haven't committed to any thing just yet concerning their contracts.

Fingers crossed hoping that the new acquisitions can adjust quickly and it would be fun watch Arsenal play again

Well, It is easy to forgive you because this is a non-visual communication platform and more so because of the word "probably"
However, While I agree that Enyeama is good, I advice you to stop comparing any member of the current super Eagles to their predecessors. The last time we had a senior national team was in year 2000.
Again, stats and awards are not always reflective of a player's true quality. Okocha is one of the best midfielders planet earth has produced and the best in Africa by far, but he was not thus awarded.
I concur!

Welcome Elneny and Nwakali!

If there is one thing i know and heard about this fella is that you will get ATTITUDE! sanchez and Coqelin comes to mind here...

Not the silky skill of ozil or the magic technique of cazorla but a player who plays to instruction and stays disciplined on and off the ball.

Finally the scouting team are beginning to look for the calibre of players (relatively unknown but hardworking)that once made arsenal tagged the invincibles.

The commentator during the west-ham match yesterday pointed out that the big teams need to start looking at players that dont come with all the buzz and high prices but give you 100% and are effective at what they do.

I for one was delighted that we got this guy and Nwakali cos they dont have the high profile tag but meeeenn..... Lets just wait and see but im very optimistic that we have two new gems in AFC.

BusinessRe: No More Importation Of Petrol Once My Refinery Is Ready- Dangote by Jencejyde(m): 3:54pm On Jan 12, 2016
Kudos To Alhaji Aliko Dangote on this.

My worrry however stems from the fact that for the past decade or so, we have had Professionals within the Oil and Gas Industry and even Monetary and Economic Institutions whom have not been able to complete this type of project.

Its a shame that one man in the whole of this country will be having a fully functional refinery in this same country where we have heard from people whom with all due respect have dissapointed saying "Refineries cannot work in Nigeria"

I also smell the aura of politics and knowing Alhaji very well, he has seen that the terrain would no longer make it possible or rather make it very hard to cut corners these days hence the swift move to get this done.

It brings to the fore what all our ministers and economic experts have been doing in office these many years regarding the Oil and Gas Industry.

Sound Economists have proven over and over again that the only way forward is to refine your own natural product, thereby creating enough local consumption which regardless of the international imbalances in price would not affect the economy within (this of course, putting into consideration that the economy of such a country relies heavily on the product)

Again i wonder why we have been made to suffer for nothing for so many years....I really wonder. smh..
RomanceRe: My Funny Experience With Black Girls In Uk Club by Jencejyde(m): 2:41pm On Jan 12, 2016
Wowzer:
From my experience of going to clubs in UK just to have fun with no agenda like talking to ladies, buying them drinks and taking them home:

I don't approach ladies in the club white or black.

White ladies who likes to dance with me always approach me or give me a sign, only then will I make moves. Most often times that's the case.

Some black ladies non-Nigerians are free style....They just came to have fun...dance away, They can dance with anyone provided you are polite and they like the look of you. Jamaicans, Somalians, Kenyans etc.

Asians and Others will dance with you if they are the type that like African beats and Dance moves.

As for Nigerian ladies, I have never had one on one encounter with them in the club. And do not intend to do so. Reason is their response to guys who approach them is awful. No matter the skin colour of the guy, most times it's always the snobbish look and response. They are always in colonies....standing and looking in a corner or they don't mix like most other ladies do. They prefer to dance with themselves. May be it's inferiority complex, that I can't say.

I prefer to go with Nigerian lady to club than approaching one in the club. (This is not an Invitation)

The best thing to do is go to club with no Agenda of buying drink to impress a lady or take home. Just be cool and have your fun. A lady who wants to dance with you will dance with you without effort and give you all her back side to rock. I do see some guys looking desperate to chat up ladies in the club aggressively...Lol. They are mostly NIGERIANS. Shame.
