Congrats!!!.. I have been looking out for your good news.. Wow! 2017 is the real deal!!! Tadelov is next!! abubarakat: I never knew i could attach so much importance to a visa as much as i did with this spouse visa. It would be 2 years in 2weeks time since i last saw my darling wife. Our daughter is now 1 year and 6 months and i still haven’t touched her. So you can imagine how important it was for me to get the visa and i give glory to God for making it possible.
I was so scared when i got decision made email from TLS this morning and Ready for Collection in the afternoon. I informed my wife and she literally pushed me out of the office to go and collect it immediately. To make matters worse, when my package was handed to me it was kind of heavy. I was expecting it to contain only my passport given that i didn’t submit any supporting documents except for VAF Appendix 2 and Application form. It was at this point that i concluded that it had been refused. I left the venue in disappointment. To my utmost surprise, i opened my package when i got to the parking lot and i saw the decision made letter showing successful. I couldn’t believe it. I reached for my passport and saw my sweet spouse visa.
There is so much i would like to say but i will leave it at thanking everyone who has contributed in one way or the other to this thread. May God bless you all for sharing your experience with others. I have been following it silently for up to 2 years now. I spent countless hours on this forum and many others for months after work. I got refused a visit visa in May 2016 but God did his wonders this time around. I did priority and the turnaround time was like 5weeks but believe me it was a very difficult period. I’m using this medium to thank the Almighty God for granting our wish. I now need to tidy up all loose ends before i carry my waka go meet my madam.
Meanwhile my application form and Appendix 2 Form were returned along with my passport. These were all the docs i submitted and they returned them all!
For the sake of posterity, i will like to outline my timeline below:

My passport wasnt sent to him but every other document was invludong my TB certificate. We were not called/invited for interview. I'll wait it out till Wednesday 28th Dec. Then I'll go to tls. Thanks Demoore. Demoore: Was your passport amongst your documents sent to him? Did they call/invite either you or your husband for an interview?
If it's not too much stress for you, I think you should visit tls and tell them you're there pick up your documents. There have been cases of documents received without notification sent out.
On another hand, I think the December rush coupled with many home office staff going on Christmas holidays, may have affected the normal processing times of visas. |

I have my bags packed!
Thanks Abbylove.
Did you need to show your original tb cert at any time of your trip? So I know if hubby should mine back.
Thanks.
[Qquote author=Abbylove post=52184872]That's might be a clear indication that you got the visa!
Think about it... If you ever have to re apply or appeal or totally give up on the settlement visa process won't your documents be sent back to you?
That was my thought when hubby said he got all of my documents except the tb-test result & my birth certificate.
And indeed we were right, we got it.
Congratulations in advance Jennyze...start packing.[/quote] |
