Ahah, really? Does anyone else buy and use Gameboy? I just watched the presentation of PS 5 and I realized that I fell in love with this console and I already pre-ordered it. I never liked old consoles, but I really like old games. I can do nothing about it smiley
I even found a very cool site https://romsie.com/roms/gameboy-advance and there were a lot of old games in ROM format and I was very glad when I found out about it. I started playing these games and I feel so nostalgic! I was surprised that the games worked very smoothly and I did not even notice any lags or freezes.

Pre-ordered PS5? cheesy

Good view, Projection painting x really the best form of texture painting.

You got that right...! My attempt at a stylized king of pop.

Projection painting all the way...!

Blender internal skill got the best SSS. Jereal keep it up.

Even the posture self is attractive. I luv the light effect on her skin, luv the mood it conveys.Blender internal for forever.

How did u do the clothes?. just a brief rundown.

And the Mohawk? Plz dont falter with character design, its running in your blood...lol

Creativity x intellgence having fun.

Thanks a lot Kaz, the SSS is truely amazing, just one click & the magic happened...!

For the cloths, I simply duplicated the faces off of the body where I wanted the cloths to be. I had problems getting the straps, because I took a shortcut when I was modeling the body by not capturing the topological flow of the back & shoulders. So I had to rework the topology so that I could have the loops around the neck & hand opening of the shirt. After that, I just duplicate again & adjusted the proportions to get the second shirt.

For the mohawk, I duplicated the top of the head as well, then extruded the mid point. I went ahead & pulled several points so as to get the spikiness at the top.

I got a hair texture from Google image, but it was blond. I turned down the material's diffuse intensity to give a darker look & also adjusted the RGB of the texture to get the reddish color.

After that, I readded the same image as a second texture, then changed it's saturation to 0 & then used it as a normal map.

Finally I added the same image as a third texture, turned down its saturation to 0, but this time set it up as a specular map.

Hello guys, towards the end of last year, I posted here that I was going to start learning Blender as I needed it for my school project. Unfortunately I had to let it go for a number of reasons. I'm more than happy that I can finally devote some time to 3D art now.

Attached here, is my second attempt at character modeling, the first was last year when I was modeling for my project. To cut the long story short, it was hideous to say the least.

I have always been fascinated with character modeling, so I'm gonna be spending the next months studying it in detail.

For the veterans here, please critique & advice. I mostly just clicked my way through the internal renderer, I have no idea how the Cycles render works. So I'm totally open to all the advice you got for me, from the technicalities to the art itself.

Channeling Wall-E.....hahaha

JUST MAKE THE INTERNET UR BEST FRIEND IN CG.

And try to choose a specific field of CG to delve into, unless you feel like being a generalist. Its always hard the first few months but over time things get into your bloodstream. And try to always seek out like minds in your neighborhood. DO CG TO BEAT THE WEST AT THEIR GAME AND NOT TO BETHE FIRST OR THE BEST IN NIGERIA.

Lol... Got me there, it was certainly inspired by wall E...
Thanks for the heads up, sadly finding people of like minds in the neighborhood doesn't come easy... But thank God for the Internet...!

Hello guys...
A barely two weeks old blender noob here smiley
I intend to build a 3rd person game as my final year project, to do this, I realized I'd have to build some of the game assets myself....& that's how I found blender...!

The last few days have been really exciting as I've been learning the basics of blender, using BornCG's tutorials:

https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLda3VoSoc_TR7X7wfblBGiRz-bvhKpGkS

I've only seen 17 out of a total of 40 videos, it'll be great if the blender bosses (Shimish, kazuna et al) in the house can check out the playlist & comment on the outline... I guess I'd like to know if I'm learning blender in the most effective way smiley

Anyway, after watching those videos, I attempted putting some of the concepts to use... below is my very first attempt at 3D modeling & animation... Please comment, criticize, encourage, advice... etc

Travel / Re: QATAR And UAE General Visa Enquiries by jereal(m): 9:24pm On Jun 30, 2015
Hello good people,

I've seen this thread like a thousand times, but never really thought I was going to have any business with travelling to the UAE.

I got an invitation to attend a programme in Abu Dhabi, I'll need to be there for just a night or two at most. The organisers emailed me today saying they were unable to secure a for me visa due to age restrictions. I did a little googling & found out Nigerian nationals below the age of 40 are no longer eligible for the UAE visa.

I talked to the institution's local contact in Nigeria & I've been told that there's an agency that can help me with acquiring the visa, even though I'm under 40. I know going through agents is not encouraged here & confirming the genuineness of this agency is a different story all together.

My question is, is it possible in anyway for an under 40 year old Nigerian to secure a visa & travel alone?

I read some stories about how some people were removed even after boarding.

Yes. Stanbic allows you to do transfers and transactions through QuickTeller. Also, Stanbic has a seamless internet banking service. Transfer to other banks is charged at N75 while transfer within Stanbic is free.

Great...! Thanks for the info...

Hello guys,
It seems stanbic is winning hearts here, I use GT & of cos, their rates ain't so bad... But the major issue I have with GTbank is that I can't do interbank/intra-bank transfers on quickteller. I visited their branch once & asked why I couldn't do that, customer care told me that I'd have to get a token device or visit any of their branches whenever I wanted to do a transfer, as it will be done for me over the counter... Yeah, totally not cool...
I'd like to know if I can do these transfers with stanbic... @stanbic account holders

Guys so I got Pro Evolution Soccer 15, game is cool... But noticed lack of entrance scene and player substitution animation... I found a patch after a lot of googling & got the entrance cinematics working, but still no sub animation...

Anyone notice this...? & know a way to get the animation up...? Not that it matters anyway, still love the game...

tanks I will download another one with the Mingw and install it but I want to ask have u designed any application and have you finished with all the topics under the c++ language

I'm currently working on a simple record keeping app... & No, I'm nowhere close to finishing c++ topics, I'm still a beginner... If you can at least understand what classes & pointers are, I think you can start doing some things with Qt... While still studying your pure C++ materials...

Hi... Any assassin's creed fans here...? I just installed assassin's creed 3, & it's the first game in the series I'm playing... I've only played a few minutes & the game is looking like an open world setting...I was a bit surprised as I was expecting something like Prince of Persia...
So for folks who've played, is this what the game is gonna continue like...? As I'm not much into open world games...

painter.scale(scale, scale);

painter.translate(-width()/2, -height()/2);

ui->centralWidget->render(&painter);
}

What I intend to do is generate and print a report. I intend to design the report with Qt Creator, and then, sort of grab the form and print in A4 size. But I have a feeling I'm not going about it the right way... I saw QPdfWriter mentioned in a couple of places on the web, but can't quite figure it out.
