Chizzled06:
So, hell fire is in the core of the earth?
Does that mean when we eventually develop technology to go down that deep, we'll see lucifer?

And heaven is where? The clouds?
Good question.

Lucifer is not in hell first of all.

Secondly the bible reveals heaven is far above the earth and higher than the earth. God even describes the earth as His footstool in the scriptures.

This is why religious teachings is dangerous to humans. I'm sure the op needs his head exermined as well as who ever made this YouTube video. As for the asshole God( which doesn't exist) supposedly created hell to make himself look good and holy. He must have had a dementia moment when creating hell. Supposedly created rules no one could follow so that billions will go to hell. One sin=Hell. Unless of course you accept the tithe and offering spoilt and pompous Jesus who never ever sinned. You must be perfect and drunk like his father to be his slave. You steal a biscuit in mans world you say sorry or repay him. You steal a chewing gum in Bible God system, you burn in hell.

But seriously how does the earth crust which is full of molten magma, which helps powers the earth to stay afloat be termed as hell fire op? I know you enjoy reading fearful theories and listening to criminal pastors. But for once please use your brain. Hell fire doesn't exist.
So from what I read from your comment, the issue is not if hell exists or not but that you don't want to believe in one and you have issues with God.

Better get with the program. He created Hell because He chose to and wanted to. I will like to see you argue with Him on that.

Perhaps you can also explain to us how Jesus knew the earth crust was hot. Or maybe He guessed it. Or how He knew about the geometry of the earth.

You can keep consoling your self with a lie but it will never change the truth. Eventually the lie gives way for the truth. And you telling yourself God does not exist will never change anything.

I would like to share one such scientific proof that was not touched here - which proves the Bible states that the Earth has a slightly spherical nature to it:

Revelation 9:2
And he opened the BOTTOMLESS PIT; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

For those reading this who thinks the Bible says the Earth is flat, think again! Because the Bible tells us that the Earth has a "bottomless pit." What is a bottomless pit? In geometry, a "bottomless pit" is a term synonymous to "the center of a sphere." From a sphere's center all directions are up and hence theoretically fits the description of a bottomless pit. As such, we see that the Bible indirectly confirms that the Earth has a spherical nature.

Of course, the Bible has other proofs that the Earth is not flat. The Bible tells us that it is round and circular - both of which avoids making the mistake of directly stating that the Earth is perfectly spherical:

Isaiah 40;22
It is he that sitteth upon the CIRCLE of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in.

The Bible describes the Earth as a “circle,” we all of course know that the Earth is slightly spherical (an oblate spheroid) but there was no Hebrew word for “spherical” or “sphere.” The Hebrew word for “circle” used here is transliterated as “chuwg.” The Bible, while limited by vocabulary, still successfully showed that the Earth is slightly spherical and I will explain how: Because the Bible refutes the “flat circle” idea when one considers what it tells us in Job 26:10:

Job 26;10
He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.

The above verse clearly describes what we know as “Terminators” in Astronomy, which are twilight zones which separates the day side and night side of planets. As such these verses together confirms that the Earth is round and circular in nature, both of which avoids the mistake of saying that it is perfectly spherical in the same way that the term "bottomless pit" avoids this error.

So how did an ancient manuscript long before Christopher Columbus know that the earth was not flat but slightly spherical?

Summary Transcribed for those with MB issues.

Matthew 12:40
"For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." (He said that because He was to take sin and go down into hell with it).

Where is the heart of the earth? Under the ground. Not six feet under.

What's under the ground? Hot...hot place, now Jesus spoke that two thousand years ago and back then they never had deep mining shafts, in fact, the deepest mining shafts never get to hell.

In science, every metre you go down the earth, the temperature rises by a certain amount after going through a layer.

But amazingly, Jesus knew that.

But How could He have known that centuries before science?

Because one of the things that people will say is "well, I would not believe in God unless He knew more than I know. Unless He sees more than I see. So God says : Hey, let me tell you about something that you could not possibly have known about, So that it would convince you, when you learn about it later- thousands of years later on"

And the division of the earth- the internal structure of the earth actually matches the exact layers of compartment God talks about.

The first and outer layer of the mantle is the coolest part. That part used to be called Abraham's Bosom Luke 16:22). Where the believers who died before Jesus time were kept. [See first picture below]

Then the book of Luke chapter 16 says, there is a great gulf (a gap) fixed between this paradise and Hell (Lk 16:26). The real hot part.

Well, we could take a knife and slice the earth open and that is exactly what the scientists have found. And they didn't know that back then, you know, even in other religions.

E.g In Hinduism, they believe the world was carried on the back of four elephants who were riding on a turtle.

We can no longer say "well any religion will do. Any teaching is the same- to each his own. We respect one as well as the other." We can not say that anymore, because the description no longer fits. But the description according to Jesus is exact.

Well how did He know that? And why will He say that? Because He knew some people would not believe unless God knows more than they do.

And so He says, "Hey, let me show you the things that you have not seen." And in fact it was even before Jesus' coming (in the book of) Isaiah, which is seven hundred years B.C. (Before Christ) Isaiah 14:9

"Hell from beneath is moved for you to meet you at your coming. If stirs up the dead for you, even all the chief ones of the earth..."

Speaking of when Satan is thrown down. It says that Hell will be excited to greet Satan, to absorb Satan in, for all the evil that he has done. (when he is locked in the bottomless pit).

So he says, where is Hell? It's not in some other dimension or Nebulous place. All you need to do is "Stomp your feet, beneath." Right now there are millions of souls beneath our feet, crying in the pain of Hell and it is exactly the way that God described.

And then you have the last part- the core [See second picture below]. Well that is exactly what the Bible says that the very worst of the angels who sinned- those are the ones who actually had relations or intercourse with women back in the days of Noah's flood and after-they are now locked up in the "Abussos". That is a Greek word, from which we get an English word, the "Abyss".

What is the Abyss? It's is the lowest place,It's the darkest place. In fact the bible calls it a bottomless pit (2 Pt 2:4; Revelation 9:2).

What is a bottomless pit? In geometry, a bottomless pit is the center of a sphere. And we all know the earth is spherical. And God knew that, He described the very internal structure of the Earth exactly the way it is. And who would have known that it was hot and it got hotter and hotter and hotter? Because on the surface you would have thought the earth was as solid as a rock but no, underneath it is like a liquid and hot just like the bible says.

He goes on later to give his own explanation on the lake of fire.

Gerald Schroeder is a scientist with over thirty years of experience in research and teaching. He earned his Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degrees all at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with his doctorate thesis being under the supervision of physics professor Robley D. Evans. This was followed by five years on the staff of the MIT physics department prior to moving to Israel, where he joined the Weizmann Institute of Science and then the Volcani Research Institute, while also having a laboratory at The Hebrew University. His Doctorate is in two fields: Earth sciences and physics.

Schroeder's formal theological training in biblical, talmudic and kabalistic interpretation includes fifteen years of study under the late Rabbi Herman Pollack, Rabbi Chaim Brovender and Rabbi Noah Weinberg, of blessed memory.

The scientific career that Schroeder chose has given him varied and often unusual experiences. In his work with nuclear disarmament, he has been present at the detonation of six atomic bombs. Work in control of radioactivity has put him hundreds of meters below ground in U.S. and foreign uranium mines. Within this research, he invented and had patented the first real time monitor for airborne alpha beta gamma emitters. The government of the People's Republic of China, during the decade before it established direct contacts with Israel, was willing to overlook his Jerusalem address and had him as a frequent advisor. He also has consulted for agencies of the governments of Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Canada, USA. Invitations for him to lecture have come from around the world. He has over 60 publications in the world's leading scientific journals on topics ranging from the radon atmosphere of the moon (in Science) to the metabolism of mother's milk (in Nutrition Reports International). The results of Schroeder's work have been reported in Time, Newsweek, Scientific American and in newspapers as far apart as Boston and Adelaide. His formal training in chemistry, physics and the Earth and planetary sciences provides the basis for the broad scientific perspective he brings to his books and lectures.

For the past twenty-five years, Dr. Schroeder has also pursued a study of ancient biblical interpretation. An ability to handle the biblical material in the original languages allows him to tap the subtle depths contained in the original texts. These nuances are often missed when working with translations. The uniqueness and success of Schroeder's approach integrating biblical and scientific knowledge is demonstrated by the success of his first book, Genesis and the Big Bang (published by Bantam Doubleday), and the wide acclaim for his second book The Science of God (published by The Free Press of Simon & Schuster and Broadway Books of Bantam Doubleday) which was on the Barnes & Noble list of non-fiction best sellers and was Amazon.com's best selling book in the field of physics/cosmology for all of 1998. This was followed by The Hidden Face of God, discovering the unity that binds all existence (published by The Free Press of Simon & Schuster). His book, God According to God, A scientist proves we've been wrong about God all along, was published in May 2009 with HarperOne and has enthusiastic endorsements by leading theologians, both Jewish and Christian, and a Noble Laureate scientist.

Jesus said we should pray "Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven"

Which suggests God's will is not always done and we have to pray to enforce it.

The Word also says "God will is not for any to perish but for all to come to life"- but majority of the people that ever lived on the earth will perish as revealed in Revelations.

Currently watching a 2015 movie: The Final Rapture. cool

Majority of Atheists don't want to believe because they feel they don't want to be "controlled" or "restricted".

I have noticed that with threads here and the way some atheists like the dude trying to derail this thread reacts to scientific findings that prove the efficacy of the bible or existence of God.

They take the part that suits them and leave out the part that does not suit them.

Like someone said in the movie I am watching right now:

"Take a look at a creature like a Leaf Bug. It looks like a leaf and that is it's defense mechanism. How can all that come from chaos? There has to be a designer. God sure really does have a sense of humor".

I mean seriously check this out. No wonder the bible calls skeptics "fools". How dumb can some people get and still breathe?

Romans 1:20 "For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God."

BTW for No 4.

Yes! Speaking in tongues is the best gift that can be given to a believer for personal profiting.

But not the best in ministering to others except if there is an interpretation. The best is Prophecy.

For No. 6

Yes! Speaking in tongues builds ones faith because it unfolds mysteries and gives revelation on the Word which in turn boosts ones faith.

More Revelation=More faith.

The word build up in Jude 1:20 is the same greek word for edify Paul used for what tongues does in 1 Cor 13-14.

So praying in tongues is praying in the Spirit. You can't pray from your mind and build or charge yourself up. And you can't constantly perfectly pray as the Holy Spirit directs while using the mind. You will pray imperfect prayers. Those that have used the gift of word of knowledge or wisdom will understand better.

When we pray in tongues our spirit prayeth as Paul said and our spirit is one with the Holy Spirit. So we pray in the Spirit.

So the question we should ask ourselves.

According to Romans 8, How does the Holy Spirit intercede for us in the perfect will of God?

https://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2006/11/06/health/brain190.jpg
The passionate, sometimes rhythmic, language-like patter that pours forth from religious people who “speak in tongues” reflects a state of mental possession, many of them say. Now they have some neuroscience to back them up.

Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania took brain images of five women while they spoke in tongues and found that their frontal lobes — the thinking, willful part of the brain through which people control what they do — were relatively quiet, as were the language centers. The regions involved in maintaining self-consciousness were active. The women were not in blind trances, and it was unclear which region was driving the behavior.

The images, appearing in the current issue of the journal Psychiatry Research: Neuroimaging, pinpoint the most active areas of the brain. The images are the first of their kind taken during this spoken religious practice. The women in the study were healthy, active churchgoers.

“The amazing thing was how the images supported people’s interpretation of what was happening,” said Dr. Andrew B. Newberg, leader of the study team, which included Donna Morgan, Nancy Wintering and Mark Waldman. “The way they describe it, and what they believe, is that God is talking through them,” he said.

Dr. Newberg is also a co-author of “Why We Believe What We Believe.”

In the study, the researchers used imaging techniques to track changes in blood flow in each woman’s brain in two conditions, once as she sang a gospel song and again while speaking in tongues. By comparing the patterns created by these two emotional, devotional activities, the researchers could pinpoint blood-flow peaks and valleys unique to speaking in tongues.

Ms. Morgan, a co-author of the study, was also a research subject. She is a born-again Christian who says she considers the ability to speak in tongues a gift. “You’re aware of your surroundings,” she said. “You’re not really out of control. But you have no control over what’s happening. You’re just flowing. You’re in a realm of peace and comfort, and it’s a fantastic feeling.”

Contrary to what may be a common perception, studies suggest that people who speak in tongues rarely suffer from mental problems. A recent study of nearly 1,000 evangelical Christians in England found that those who engaged in the practice were more emotionally stable than those who did not. Researchers have identified at least two forms of the practice, one ecstatic and frenzied, the other subdued and nearly silent.

The new findings contrasted sharply with images taken of other spiritually inspired mental states like meditation, which is often a highly focused mental exercise, activating the frontal lobes.

The scans also showed a dip in the activity of a region called the left caudate. “The findings from the frontal lobes are very clear, and make sense, but the caudate is usually active when you have positive affect, pleasure, positive emotions,” said Dr. James A. Coan, a psychologist at the University of Virginia. “So it’s not so clear what that finding says” about speaking in tongues.

The caudate area is also involved in motor and emotional control, Dr. Newberg said, so it may be that practitioners, while mindful of their circumstances, nonetheless cede some control over their bodies and emotions.

“Asaria isa asaria ari masheetee sadabada vena amina gotaya menda meshela mosha nami ki toro ma…”

Glossolalia, or speaking in tongues, has fascinated thinkers ever since the “tongues of angels” descended upon early believers as a gift from the Holy Ghost in the New Testament of the Bible. This unusual mental state, characterized by utterances that sometimes sound like an untranslated psalm from Mars, typically occurs during instances of religious excitation, and is primarily associated with Pentecostal religious practices. It has commonly been considered a form of ecstatic trance accompanied by verbal utterances not found in any language.
Tongue speakers typically claim that the outbursts are non-voluntary, but others can sometimes produce instances of glossolalia on demand. Glossolalia has typically been considered a psychopathology, although little has been known about what occurs in the brain during this behavior. Plato asserted that these occurrences were caused by divine inspiration. He suggested that God took possession of the mind while man was sleeping or possessed, and during such a state, God inspired man with utterances that he can neither understand nor interpret.
Research performed in the 1980s at Denison University by the late anthropologist Felicitas Goodman led to a theory that glossolalia was a trance state caused by rhythmic discharges from the reticular formation, an area of the brain stem that plays a role in sleep and dreams. Goodman believed that this represented an alternative neural pathway for language, but more recent research has cast light on activity in other areas of the brain.

In 2006, Andrew Newberg and associates conducted the first functional neuroimaging study of cerebral changes during the act of glossolalia. In the study, published in Psychiatry Research: Neuroimaging, Newberg and other researchers at the University of Pennsylvania managed to run single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) scans to measure regional cerebral blood flow in the brains of five people during episodes of active glossolalia. (As controls, the investigators took scans of people singing gospel songs.) Despite the prevailing notion in the biomedical community of glossolalia as psychopathology, the researchers discovered that “the limited number of reported studies have suggested that people who speak in tongues show no differences in personality traits from other population groups.” Indeed, an earlier study in Britain of glossolalia among the clergy found that those who sometimes spoke in tongues showed more emotional stability and less depression than a control group.

In an earlier neuroimaging study of meditation states, Newberg and coworkers had observed increased activity in the frontal lobes, a finding consistent with scans of other attention-focusing activities. But in the case of glossolalia, Newberg, the director for the Center for Spirituality and the Mind at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, discovered that activity the frontal lobes decreased, including activity in the brain’s primary language processing centers: “Our finding of decreased activity in the frontal lobes during the practice of speaking in tongues is fascinating because these subjects truly believe that the spirit of God is moving through them and controlling them to speak. Our brain imaging research shows us that these subjects are not in control of the usual language centers during this activity, which is consistent with their description of a lack of intentional control while speaking in tongues.”

Another area of activity during glossolalia is the left superior parietal lobe (SPL), a region behind the frontal lobes that plays an important role in processing sensory input. In the meditation scans, during which subjects describe a loss of the sense of self, there was a significant decreases in SPL activity. However, glossolalia patients showed no such decreases, a finding consistent with their assertion that they experience no loss of individual boundaries, or submerging of the sense of self, while speaking in tongues.
The study also found increased activity in the limbic system, the seat of emotional responses, but the researchers declined to speculate on “altered emotional activity during glossolalia.”

One of the curious aspects of the study, as pointed out on the Neurocritic Blog, is that the subjects were capable of entering the state of glossolalia more or less on cue. This finding seems to call into question the “spontaneous utterance” aspect of glossolalia.
Spiritual or religious aspects notwithstanding, the study strongly points to the act of speaking in tongues as a verifiable language phenomenon that invites further study.

Dr. Carl Peterson, M.D

“The Physical Benefit of Speaking in Tongues

There is a study that has been done by Dr. Carl Peterson, M.D. This Study revealed that there is an available healing power that can be released from our own bodies for our own benefit. Dr. Carl Peterson, M.D. worked on this study at ORU in Tulsa, Oklahoma a few years ago. Being a brain specialist he was doing research on what the relationship was between the brain and praying or speaking in tongues. Some amazing things were discovered.

Through research and testing he found out that as we pray in the Spirit, or worship in the Spirit, (our heavenly language) there is activity that begins to take place in our brain. As we engage in our heavenly language the brain releases 2 chemical secretions that are directed into our immune systems giving a 35 to 40 percent boost to the immune system. This promotes healing within our bodies. Amazingly this secretion is triggered from a part of the brain that has no other apparent activity in humans and is only activated by our Spirit led prayer and worship.

Before the fall of man did God in His perfect creation provide for the total healing of mankind in this manner? As Adam walked and communicated with the Father in the Garden was this close and intimate fellowship and communication causing divine health to flow in his body? Just something for us to think about. God is the restorer of all things. As we exercise our life in the “Spirit” by speaking in our heavenly language that He has put within us, we are touching the supernatural power of God and we are letting Him restore part of what was lost.

Now science has proved the process and you and I can turn this healing process on by our relationship with our Heavenly Father. Just one more great reason to be filled with the Holy Spirit and commune with the Father in your “Heavenly Language.” According to the Holy Spirit, speaking through the apostle Paul: “He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself” (1 Corinthians 14:4). We always thought of the edification as only spiritual edification, which is great and always needed, but Christian psychiatrist Carl R. Peterson, M.D. describes physical edification also! Isn’t God amazing?

We have found on the Internet documentation from Dr. Peterson’s office, which is below. As a matter of reference, Dr. Peterson is highly respected, as a psychiatrist and as a Christian.

PLEASE NOTE: Dr. Peterson begins his attachment by specifically referring to praying in the spirit (speaking in tongues), then begins to just use the words prayer or praying. Throughout his paper he is referring to speaking in tongues, as that is the context of the whole paper, and is as introduced by his letter.

Dear friend,
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the relationship of extended periods of praying in tongues and joyful laughter to brain activity. As you will read in the enclosed explanation, I shared some information concerning this with several ministers at a gathering some time ago. I pray this information will be helpful to you.

Respectfully,
Carl R. Peterson, M.D.”

[b]EFFECTS OF EXTENDED VERBAL PRAYER
I have had a number of inquiries concerning the efficacy of praying in the spirit (speaking in tongues) and its benefit to the human immune system, i.e., immunity enhanced by chemicals released from a part of the brain. I am attempting to clarify some information I have shared with a number of ministers. This is information that may be deduced from what we know about the way the brain functions. We do know the part of the brain affected most noticeably by extended prayer represents a significant portion of the brain and its metabolic activity. Therefore, voluntary speech during extended vocal prayer causes a major stimulation in these parts of the brain (mainly the hypothalamus).

The hypothalamus has direct regulation of four major systems of the body, mainly: a) the pituitary gland and all target endocrine glands;
b) the total immune system;
c) the entire autonomic system; and
d) the production of brain hormones called endorphins and enkephalons, which are chemicals the body produces and are 100-200 times more powerful than morphine.

In summary, a very significant percentage of the central nervous system is directly and indirectly activated in the process of extended verbal and musical prayer over a period of time. This results in a significant release of brain hormones which, in turn, increases the body’s general immunity. It is further enhanced through joyful laughter with increased respirations and oxygen intake to the brain, diaphragm and other muscles. This same phenomenon is seen in physical activity in general, i.e., running, etc.

We know from the Word of God that there is a true joy that builds and sustains. Nehemiah tells us the joy of the Lord is our strength. There is joy in the presence of Jehovah. We, as believers having entered into that wonderful presence of our Lord, know this to be true. What we must continue to remember is that the joy of the Lord spoken of in the Word is so much more than any manifestation. We can truly have that unspeakable joy in the face of any trials we may encounter, if our joy is grounded in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I hope the above information helps to clarify the report you received regarding my statement in the area of the physical effects of speaking in tongues and joyful laughter for extended periods of time. Truly, we all benefit — body, soul, and spirit — from obedience and yielding to the Spirit of God in every area of our lives.

Christianity Etc › The Strange Mystery Of The Man From Taured- Proof Of Another Dimension? by Jeromejnr(op): 10:49pm On Oct 10, 2015
https://coolinterestingstuff.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/20130920-011654.jpg

It’s July 1954; a hot day. A man arrives at Tokyo airport in Japan. He’s of Caucasian appearance and conventional-looking. But the officials are suspicious.

On checking his passport, they see that he hails from a country called Taured. The passport looked genuine, except for the fact that there is no such country as Taured – well, at least in our dimension.

The man is interrogated, and asked to point out where his country supposedly exists on a map.

He immediately points his finger towards the Principality of Andorra, but becomes angry and confused. He’s never heard of Andorra, and can’t understand why his homeland of Taured isn’t there.

According to him it should have been, for it had existed for more than 1,000 years!

Customs officials found him in possession of money from several different European currencies.

His passport had been stamped by many airports around the globe, including previous visits to Tokyo.

Baffled, they took him to a local hotel and placed him in a room with two guards outside until they could get to the bottom of the mystery.

The company he claimed to work for had no knowledge of him, although he had copious amounts of documentation to prove his point.

The hotel he claimed to have a reservation for had never heard of him either.

The company officials in Tokyo he was there to do business with? Yup, you’ve guessed it – they just shook their heads too.

Later, when the hotel room he was held in was opened, the man had disappeared.

The police established that he could not have escaped out of the window – the room was several floors up, and there was no balcony. ?

He was never seen again, and the mystery was never solved.

Weah96:
There are two gay guys here in our subdivision and they're both strong Christians. Go figure.

You can take that last days stuff and shove it. Do you want to see newspaper clippings from the 1930s of people proclaiming that those were the last days? The last day is coming, it's the moment the motor in your chest stops working.
2 Peter3: 3Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, 4and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation."

In my neighborhood, it's the old people and the homosexuals. There is something about a gay guy and Jesus. They just can't get enough of him. Maybe it's the sex appeal from all those photos of the handsome white man who used to be Jesus.

I've lost count of how many times a gay male has tried to minister to me about the message of Jesus Christ.

Those youths you see in northern Cali are from San Francisco. Nutsack to nutsack rubbing was just approved as a sport in that city, if I'm not mistaken.
Your neighbourhood must be a projects for the gay.

But its no surprise as the word of God has prophesied such to happen in tue last days. It actually goes on to reveal that majority of people who ever lived on the earth will actually end up separated from God for all eternity.

I don't know where you guys get your facts from or if the writer of this article has been abroad before.

You say only old folks are the ones seen in church? Trying to console yourselves.

Well, I will like to invite you to Northern California to the churches there where youths are on fire for God. And it will be a surprise to you that they don't engage in the frivolities of today.
