dmandy:This man, e be like say you drink wine dis morning. ![]() And btw, we are talking of praying to saints in heaven here. Don't try to twist anything. You left the saints that are down here and went to the ones in heaven. And funny enough, some of you don't even believe they are in heaven but are soul sleeping. I have not even come to praying to angels yet and even bowing down to carved images. I never even start with you. ![]() |
italo:Like I said before, that God used Judas to cast out demons and heal the sick, didn't mean later he didnt fall away. BTW, the bible comes from the dead sea scrolls or the Jewish Talmud. So we have the Dead sea scrolls, the Talmud and the Apochrypha. In all those documents, where was it written we can pray to Mary? But someone somewhere woke up one morning and said 'Lets pray to Mary to help us talk to Jesus so he can persuade God for us". And you sef follow with no scriptural backing. This is Day 7 (since saturday) And no one has given me any scriptural backing till date. . In fact, was it not you or someone that said, it is not in the bible and you don't only believe in the bible but also in the word of mouth of what someone up there says? SMH. |
italo:Acts 28:30 :"And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him," So were you the one that gave him his house here Wow! he must have been too poor that the community pitied him and dashed him one.Mt 8:14 "When Jesus came into Peter's home, He saw his mother-in-law lying sick in bed with a fever. 15He touched her hand, and the fever left her; and she got up and waited on Him.…" Peter was penniless according to you, but he had a house and wife and children. I wonder how it must have been for him thinking of how to provide for his family and also going around preaching the Word. I wonder. How can Peter and Paul have lived below their priviledges when just a shadow will heal multitudes and Paul will be bitten by a snake but was not moved and as a result was called a god by natives? Jesus was poor but yet He had a money purse that he had to have a secretary (Judas) to help him handle the finances. An Judas saw so much money in there that he knew as he stole from it no one would have noticed? Or Jesus had so much money that at one point in time during the last supper when Jesus said Judas should leave, others taught it was for him to go and give to the poor? Why will they have even thought of that if Jesus never gave to the poor? You said Jesus said "..Son of man has nowhere to lay His head" Mark 2: "When Jesus returned to Capernaum several days later, the news spread quickly that he was back home. 2Soon the house where he was staying was so packed with visitors that there was no more room, even outside the door." So according to you, I wonder how Jesus must have taken care of Mary His mother. If he never had a place to stay, then this house in this scripture, was it in a bush? Please, Jesus was busy travelling all the time, is that not why he made that statement you quoted. The amazing thing is look at all this, Jesus never for once lacked and God said He was poor (So that through His poverty you be made rich). And I am sure right now with this your thinking you must be seriously lacking. Can't you see how far below your privileges in Christ you are. Imagine, to God not lacking and just having your needs met is poor but having an abundance is wealth/riches. John 10:10. "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." |
dmandy:Na wa o. When she runs out of which wine . Chai!! See as dem don destroy your brain with man made doctrines. So you mean me preaching that praying to the Father through Jesus only as prescribed in the scriptures is heresy? Even the Pope will be highly disappointed in you. So had an Angel greeted anyone or given anyone a title? Lets find out: 1. Judges 6:12 "And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour." Since Gideon was called amighty man of valor by the angel, why don't you pray to him to fight your battles for you? 2. Daniel 9:21-23 "whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. 22And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding. 23At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved..." Daniel also was called greatly beloved by the angel (same angel that appeard to Mary). Why don't you pray to him and honor and serve him then ![]() Oga! Go and sit one place first. No be only run out of wine. . SMH. |
dmandy:Only God knows where you saw that I hated her. BTW, I know force you to believe anything. We all have freewills from God.. Make una free me abeg. |

I will just be giving three major scriptures to prove that Jesus has always been God and He is not angel Micheal as some people think. First Scripture: Isaiah 6 King James Version (KJV) In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts. Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not....... Well, how do we know this is Jesus and not the Father? John spoke about it here: John 12:37-41 37 Even after Jesus had performed so many signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him. 38 This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet: “Lord, who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”[a] 39 For this reason they could not believe, because, as Isaiah says elsewhere: 40 “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so they can neither see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts, nor turn—and I would heal them.” 41 Isaiah said this because [b]he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about him. Note: We can see from this scripture that before Jesus came to the world, Isaiah had already seen Him in a vision sitting high on a throne and Seraphims worshiping Him saying "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts and the whole earth is full of His glory". I mean if Jesus is angel Michael as some people think, why will His fellow angels be worshiping Him? and why will He be called Lord and the glory of the earth be attributed to Him? Is it not only a God that is to be worshiped? Second Scripture: John 17 (This is Jesus praying to the Father) "....I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began...." Note: Looking at this scripture, you can't tell me that angel Michael shared in God the Father's glory before the world begun. C'mon, that's just absurd. We all know no one can share God's glory except he himself is also a member of the Godhead. (Is 42:8 "I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to anyone else, nor share my praise...." .Third Scripture: Hebrews 1:5-13 (God the Father here speaks to the Son) "For to which of the angels did He ever say: “You are My Son, today I have begotten You”? And again: “I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son”? But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: “Let all the angels of God worship Him.” And of the angels He says: “Who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire.” But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” And: “You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You remain; and they will all grow old like a garment; like a cloak You will fold them up, and they will be changed. But You are the same, and Your years will not fail.” But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool”?" Note: Now this is the icing on the cake. God the Father is seen here calling His Son God. And that He(Jesus) is the Lord in the beginning that laid the foundations of the earth. And it ends by saying, "to which of the angels" has God the Father ever said something to like that. Please tell me. Looking at these scriptures, How did angel Micheal lay the foundations of the earth? Is it not only a God that could do that?. How could angel Michael have had a throne high and lifted up in the old testament and angels worship him? If God the father calls His Son God, then how dare you say Jesus is not God?. The bible is not hard to understand my friends.Study the book yourself and stop being deceived by man-made doctrines. It is usually very hard for people to make changes when they have been brought up a certain way. But accept the truth and change. Finally, All these scriptures goes with our famous scripture: John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.…" Also in Revelations 1:8 we see Jesus saying "I am the Alpha and the Omega...the One who was, is and will come, the mighty One". He that hath ears to hear, let Him hear. |
dmandy:My long time friend. ![]() Please how can I be hating on someone God called full of Grace. Just as Mary is full of God's grace, so am I right now. Just as God said "He is no respecter of persons" Rom 2:11 & Acts 1:34 and also "we have all received "like precious faith" 2 Pt 1:1. I am just here to help destroy some wrong teachings in the church. . Why don't we all just stick to the scriptures broda? Why?.He that has ears to hear, let him hear. ![]() |

1. Yell a lot. Everyone knows that the louder you are, the more right you are. 2. Use strong terms. Words like "unintelligent" and "ignorant" help emphasize just how silly the other person's opinion is. 3. Feel yourself losing? Bring up something the other person did from a long time ago that has nothing to do with the current argument. 4. Slam doors. 5. If online, use CAPITALIZED BOLD AND ENLARGED TEXT. 6. Say you are not going to argue about it anymore, then come back later once you've thought of something really good to say. 7. Never back down. Did the other person manage to prove he/she was right? Ignore it and keep yelling to save yourself the embarrassment of admitting you were wrong. |
Here goes another tribal bashing thread. ![]() |

Very good to hear. It's always good to have scriptural backing In anything you beleive and not what some group of people say. |
1. God wants to bless YOU. Psalm 35:27 says: “Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.” Clearly, God wants your bills paid, your needs met and your family blessed. Psalm 84:11 in the Amplified Bible says: “For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows [present] grace and favor and [future] glory (honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss)! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” God’s WORD Translation says: “…He does not hold back any blessing…” Psalm 115:14 in the Amplified Bible says: “May the Lord give you increase more and more, you and your children.” 2. Jesus came to give you abundant life. . .not abundant lack. John 10:10 in the New Living Translation says: “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” I know what I’m about to say will have all the nattering nabobs of negativism and poor thinking going nuts BUT. . .the Word. . .is the Word. God’s desire is for His children to be rich. . .not just in spiritual blessings but in material blessings as well. The King James Version of 2 Corinthians 8:9 says: “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” There are two different but closely related Greek words for rich in this verse. When the verse says “…though he was rich…”that particular Greek word is plousios (G4145) which means: “wealthy, abounding in material resources” The second reference to rich is when the scripture says: “…that ye through his poverty might be rich.” This is the Greek wordplouteō (G4147) which means: “to be rich, to have abundance; of outward possessions; to be richly supplied; is affluent in resources so that he can give blessings of salvation to all.” The Amplified Bible translation of 2 Corinthians 8:9 says: “For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied).” Why does God want you blessed and abundantly supplied? That brings us to number three. 3. God wants you blessed financially so you can finance the gospel and establish His covenant. Deuteronomy 8:18 in the New International Version says: “But remember the Lordyour God. He gives you the ability to produce wealth. That shows he stands by the terms of his covenant. He promised it with an oath to your people long ago. And he’s still faithful to his covenant today..” Here are four things. . .every believer should understand about Deuteronomy 8:18. First, remember the Lord thy God. Always remember the One who gave you His all so you can be your all. . .through Him. Second, the power to produce wealth is a gift from God. He has endowed you with the seeds of greatness. He has given us the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16.) Third, God will never give you something unless He expects you to use it…. Fourth, God is giving us the power to be rich for a reason. 2 Corinthians 8:9 in the New International Version says: “You know the grace shown by our Lord Jesus Christ. Even though he was rich, he became poor to help you. Because he became poor, you can become rich.” Why does He want you to be rich…..to fulfill His covenant…. What is His covenant….that we’re “blessed to be a blessing.” God has given us the ability…the power to be rich for a purpose. What does it mean to be rich? Webster’s Intercollegiate Dictionary defines rich as: “having abundant possessions, especially material wealth.” 4. God wants you honoring Him through your financial success. Proverbs 3:9-10 in the Amplified Bible says: “Honor the Lord with your capital and sufficiency [from righteous labors] and with the firstfruits of all your income; So shall your storage places be filled with plenty, and your vats shall be overflowing with new wine.” The Hebrew word for honor is kabad (H3513) and it means: “be honourable, be weighty, be rich, be glorious, be burdensome, enjoy honour, be made abundant; to get oneself glory or honour, gain glory” We honor and glorify through our financial success. In reading and re-reading Proverbs 3:9. . .it says honor the Lord with . . .first, your capital and sufficiency [from your righteous labors], otherwise known as your job. But it also says we should also honor Him with the firstfruits of all our income. . .meaning we should have several or multiple streams of income. Let’s look at verse 9 in the New Living Translation where it says: “Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.” Just saying that sounds like multiple streams of income to me. 5. God wants you to care for the poor, the widows and the orphans. Proverbs 19:17 says: “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” James 1:27 says: “External religious worship [religion as it is expressed in outward acts] that is pure and unblemished in the sight of God the Father is this: to visit and help and care for the orphans and widows in their affliction and need, and to keep oneself unspotted and uncontaminated from the world.” The New Living Translation of James 1:27 says: “Religion that pleases God the Father must be pure and spotless. You must help needy orphans and widows and not let this world make you evil.” The way I read the scriptures . . . helping the widows and the orphans is not optional. Rather it is the example of Christian love and compassion we show the world. In fact, God is pretty serious about how we treat the widows and orphans. God even ordained certain laws to protect the widows and orphans. Exodus 22:22 says: “Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.” The scripture goes on to say in Exodus 22:23 that God will know if we don’t follow His instructions. “If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry.” Lest there be any mistake. . .God clearly laid out what the penalty would be for ignoring His instructions. Exodus 22:24 says: “And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.” The Message Bible translation of Exodus 22:22-24 says: "Don't mistreat widows or orphans. If you do and they cry out to me, you can be sure I'll take them most seriously; I'll show my anger and come raging among you with the sword, and your wives will end up widows and your children orphans.” I’d say that God is fairly serious in His desire for His children to care for the widows and orphans. So here’s the question. . .can you do more for the poor, the widows and the orphans when you’re poor or when you’re prosperous? 6. God wants you to be the head not the tail. Deuteronomy 28:10-13 in the Amplified Bible says: “10 And all people of the earth shall see that you are called by the name [and in the presence of] the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you. All the people of the earth. . .not just those in your family, neighborhood or even your local church. All. . .means everybody you come into contact you. . .shall know that you are called by my name. You can’t be a closet Christian and expect to prosper. You can’t be Nambe Pamby about who you are in Him. When you spent time in His presence. . .you can walk into every situation with boldness which will create confidence in who you are in Him. “11 And the Lord shall make you have a surplus of prosperity, through the fruit of your body, of your livestock, and of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. The Lord will make you have a surplus of prosperity. . .not a government stimulus package not even an inheritance from a rich relative. Notice the scripture doesn’t say He will give you a surplus of poverty. No, He will give you a surplus of prosperity. This verse even shows a variety of ways in which God can get money to you. Why is He blessing you so? It’s simple. . .He promised our forefathers. “12 The Lord shall open to you His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. Over the years, I’ve walked into seven different bank vaults that I can remember. Wachovia Bank and Trust, Southern Bank and Trust, First Union Bank and Trust, North Carolina National Bank and Trust, Bank of America, SouthTrust Bank and Wells Fargo. I’m sure these bank vaults all contained millions and millions of dollars. . .but none of them can compare with the Bank of Heaven. . .which our Heavenly Father wants to open up to us. He will bless the work of our hands. However, He can’t bless what we aren’t doing. I’m catching a new revelation of this verse even as I’m writing this. I like the idea of lending money to the nations from the Rich Thoughts Bank. Hallelujah!!! “13 And the Lord shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you this day and are watchful to do them.” The reason so many believers are yet to walk in the promises and provisions of Deuteronomy 8:10-13 is because like an ostrich they have their head in the sand . . . afraid to take a stand or a risk. Content to hide themselves from life and everybody passing them by. The problem with having your head in the sand means you’ve exposed another part of your body for somebody to kick. God wants you to be the head. . .so you’ll use it. Not the tail because He doesn’t want you sitting on it…when you should be about His business. Yes, in verse 13 we’re told to “heed the commandments of the Lord your God” but it’s the next six words which should provoke our thinking. “…which I command you this day…” Every day. . .not just on Sunday or Wednesday night. . .or when you get in trouble or when you feel like it . . . but every day. . .God will tell you what to do. He will instruct you on how to accomplish the vision. . .the dreams. . .the goals. . .He has birthed within you. Every day. . .we should look with expectation for His direction. . .then follow His instructions. President Ronald Reagan said: “Within the covers of the Bible are the answers for all the problems men face." Or as we like to say. . .READ YOUR BIBLE. . .DO WHAT IT SAYS. As we begin to prosper. . .we will more fully understand that. . .affluence creates influence. Weah96:Link to the article below. (It's a scientific site and not a religious site) There is an abundant wealth of evidence from the workings of physics, chemistry, and properties of the universe, our solar system, and earth which indicate that life on earth did not happen by accident--it was planned. These arguments are typically called "anthropic principles," where physical properties or parameters seem to be "just right" or "fine-tuned" to allow for life--and not necessarily just for life as we know it. The existence of these principles is well recognized in the scientific literature, and is discussed by many physicists, cosmologists, and even the occasional cosmetologist. In the Beginning... Before discussing Anthropic Principles, it is important to note that contrary to public opinion, most astrophysicists believe that the universe itself is not infinite, and that it had a beginning. Einstein's general theory of relativity predicts that the universe must expand or contract if it contains any matter (which of course it does)1, implying there was an "explosion" at the beginning of the universe.1, 3 This explosion, often called the "Big Bang", began as an infinitely dense infinitesimal singularity which blew up, sending matter and energy flying in all directions. Many predictions made by Einstein's theory of relativity and "Big Bang" cosmology have been observed1--including relativity-related time-changes on satellite clocks, curvature of light around stars due to matter, predicted levels of background radiation in the universe, light elemental abundances, and observations that galaxies are receding from one another from some point of explosion.......cont'd. http://www.ideacenter.org/contentmgr/showdetails.php/id/837 |

MuttleyLaff:I want you to enlighten me on this scripture: 25Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children, he left his wife to his brother. 26The same thing happened to the second and third brother, right on down to the seventh. 27Finally, the woman died. 28Now then, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her?” 29Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.[/b]30At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. [b]31But about the resurrection of the dead—have you not read what God said to you, 32‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’b ? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.” 33When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching. As to the issue of resurrection from the dead. And if saints are in heaven or paradise right now or not? |
MuttleyLaff:Hahaha I am guessing you have gone to do your research. |
Weah96:I don't know which century you are still living in. But findings are actually proving the existence of a designer. Keep waiting for the 1000 years. |
