frozen70: The thug boat is small to be compared with a ship but its mighty
The major work of a thug boat is to lead a ship or vessels from high sea to berthing point of the ship then assist the ship to anchor
Once a ship wants to berth, it doesn't berth or pack right or straight due to its load, once the ship gets to its berthing stand, the thug boat pushes the ship in, to gain balance it does that by shifting or pushing the ship at the back and at the front side until it reaches the wall that demacates sea and land at the berthing point before the berth men will tire the cord of the ship to a solid stand already created
The purpose of the cord or rope is to hold the ship from waves movement incase there is heavy waves U try but u miss |

Do you know?
That there are special ships called Tugs. They are smaller, but powerful. Think of Lastma towing van? Exactly! Small but mighty.
Do you know? That ships have a fan-like blade beneath and behind them called a propeller? Generally, ships have one. But tugs have two. This contributes to their power, and makes them more manoeuvrable. They can move forward, backwards and sideways.
Do you know? That these tugs are attached to bigger ships with a towline? If that towline cut kperen! It's backlash can cut a man's limb?
Do you know? That tugs assist pilots in the safe berthing and unberthing in the port? Big ships being pushed or pulled by small tugs. Small geh big God.
Do you know? That Pilots and Tug Captains work together in a close knit environment to achieve safety? Communication must be, and is usually seamless in order to achieve proper Bridge Team Management?
Do you know? That Tug crew often work and stay onboard up to six weeks without seeing their families?
Here is the pictures of an engine room of a ASS 2810 Tug. 28m length Overall, 10m Breadth Overall

Business › Re: How Bank Officials Withdrew My Money Through Swallowed ATM Card by jeron1(m): 11:39am On Jun 06, 2018 |
Report to CBN. Contact me for info... infocabal: Good day my fellow Nairalanders.
I have been hearing of this issue, I didn't believe until it happened to me last week.
I went to withdraw money from Diamond Bank ATM in Gwagwalada, Abuja around 9pm. When it was my turn, I slotted in my ATM card entered my Pin and entered the amount of withdrawal. Only for the Machine to be hang, I was then pressing the red button so it reject my card but alas, it Swallowed my Card.
So disappointed, I told the security man, he said there is nothing can be done, that I should go to my bank which is first Bank to get another ATM card.
I went home that night only for me to be seeing alert of N20,065 four times... And 15,065 once.
And the withdrawal location is in Wuse 2, which is about 50km away from Gwagwalada. My account was emptied and only me know my PIN. Even my wife doesn't know it.
So the next morning I went to first Bank to complain about the matter, and they told me someone withdrew the money in another location. I told them how possible is that? When 1. Am the only one that know my PIN 2. The location of withdrawal is 50mins away and I got alert less than that time. 3. The card was swallowed up by Diamond bank ATM and I still waited for it to come out but it didn't.
Infact, the customer care lady said, 2 other people came to complain about the same incident from the same location where my ATM was swallowed.
I was told to visit Diamond bank or the Police. Quickly I went to police station to lay my complain. Only for the DPO to tell me to bring N5, 000 to write letter to the bank. And I told him, where will i get the money from, when they have withdrew all the money in my account.
To cut the long story short, we are still on the matter, I was even made to know that bank officials connive to criminals to get swallowed atm card and correlating PIN, don't really know how true this is.
It's becoming a rampant case gradually, rhetoric relevant authority should be informed please. |

Romance › 10 Reasons To Marry A Sailor!!! by jeron1(op): 11:33am On May 17, 2018 |
Did you ever thought of the benifits for marrying A sailor..?? There are various reasons. But here are some valid reasons to marry a sailor
1. A sailor will clean your home with you. From mopping the floor, washing the car, bathing the kids and pets and also doing the dishes! There are no maids or mothers on board, so sailors have to do all their personal chores and clean up their own mess.
2. A sailor will fix almost anything that gets faulty. From squeaking doors to clogged drains and damaged toilet-flush to jammed juicers. They develop an eye for fixing things immediately.
3. A sailor takes proper safety precautions at home and outdoors with the family. Be it crossing the road, driving, climbing ladders, using machinery and so on. ‘Safety First’ is the motto of every ship and this gets embedded in everything they do.
4. A sailor is always on time. Punctuality at their workplaces is the reason people on land get their stuff delivered on time and rescue ships save the lives of all those in danger. That is the reason a sailor will never make you wait as being ahead of time is their second nature.
5. A sailor can fight fires. Being trained in fire fighting even before they join their ships, they are efficient at fighting fires. From electrical to oil fires, they are quick at reaching the extinguisher to restrict and eventually extinguish the fire.
6. A sailor can give first aid treatment in an emergency. They are trained in basic medical first aid as there are no doctors on most of the ships. Performing CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) or saving a person affected by hypothermia, they remain calm and act when it comes to saving lives.
7. A sailor can paint your home. Maintaining rusting steel ships, mixing different types of paints and painting using rollers and brushes makes them fast and efficient painters. Painting the walls of your home together can be a great experience and saves cost.
8. A sailor is not shy of doing any kind of work. They inculcate the dignity of labour right from the time they join their ships and practice it even when they are on vacation. Helping their spouse in menial jobs at home or doing odd jobs that most people consider to be beneath their dignity, sailors do them all!
9. A sailor wears the uniform. The navy uniform is one of the most coveted uniforms and very few get the privilege of wearing it. Those epaulettes which adorn their shoulders leaves everyone admiring if not jealous.
10. The most important point is that a sailor will stick with you through thick and thin, in all those moments of celebration and also those of mourning. As I mentioned earlier, the journey through life is like sailing over the high seas and a sailor knows how to sail the ship through calm waters and even the most violent storm.

Na wa o.... Some people will boldly answer wrong thing and be confident thats why we have many people failing today in exams and life cos they dont know and will pass that wrong info around.
Op, I am an MARINE Electrical Electronics officer and I will tell u d solution, just take d battery to a battery charger and tell him to remove d Acid Solution from inside, either keep it in a keg and take it home or leave it for him cos the solution is cheap.. Once the acid solution isn't inside, there won't be reaction in d cells so the cells are safe
I'm currently away from hom and will be away from home for a very long time till maybe December so that was what I did also to my battery
Giving it to someone isnt an assurance of the safeness of ur battery.
Removing the terminals and when u cone back, d cells are dead cos of acid reaction...
Thank me later |

If I were the bank lawyer, that would be my line of reasoning. I wud carpet u in court. sholatech: You neednot tell me u are you banker. I knew from your initial myopic response. I probably left banking before you even joined. Are you at top management executive level? May you or your client never have transactions that will pit you against banking CEOS that are friends to CBN Governor. There abound many cases where the courts have eventually awarded huge sums against the banks after CBN banking supervision and Consumer Depts looked the other way. We are wiser now... That can't happen now |

obstead200: I DONT really KNOW WHY U were REFUNDED, I guess u were lucky. Ur phone was stolen December 14th, a working day and u did not ask for ur account to be immediately blocked, u did not obtain a police report, u just carried on till u lost money abi? My opinion is that u know someone who used his influence, either in ur bank or in CBN. Cos this matter is very easy for the banks to go free. U really don't have a tight case. So cos my fone was stolen will make fraudsters have access to my bank account. Use ur brain na. If they can have access to my bank account, why can't I just leave my money at home? |
