I pray it comes down to some decent numbers like 1k or 900.

Usually the best time to buy dollar yearly is between February and first week of April. It is attributed to the Chinese new year holiday where factories stop working in China. I am surprised we witnessed a rise instead this year. What will then happen between September and December when dollar demand is highest?
it wont. it is pegged at 1300

Sometimes I wonder what is the problem of women of this generation? Same thing happened to me recently my ex girlfriend that I'm planning to marry by December has been busy sleeping with one guy that can't even take care of her, someone I send 20k weekly to take care of herself because I love her so much i never wanted her to lack anything I even brought her an iPhone not quite long...i started noticing her attitude then i decided to hack her WhatsApp to see what is happening only to discover something that shock me, sometimes i would be talking to her the next is her battery is down good night but i would call her in the next 30 minutes writing call waiting she claimed to be talking to her Aunty, the day i hacked her whatsapp she was having issues with that guy I saw a message where she saying that I even ignored my boyfriend thats doing everything for me just because of you, and some other guys that she is chatting with...when i called she denied then i show her all the evidence then i immediately block her on WhatsApp and Facebook then i transfer 20k to my friends in Nigeria to go and collect the iPhone from her... Since then she has been writing me with different numbers once i noticed it's her i just blocked her..
how do you hack whatsapp
Romance / Re: My Girlfriend Just Cheated On Me With Someone I Warned Her About by jesmond3945: 10:23am On Mar 14
SYSTEM222:
I will make the story brief.

I met my girlfriend, now ex, 4yrs ago. We were good friends for 1yr and then started dating. I really liked everything about her and she gave me the peace I needed in a woman.
She is a good Christian and Goes to church regularly.

I looked forward to engaging her this year.

One thing I've always loved about her was her transparency, cooking skills, passion for growth and most importantly her love for Me. She can't stay a day without talking to me.

In our 3yrs relationship we never got intimate. She's a Virgin. She told me she doesn't want to open that side of her and wants to wait till marriage. She gave me the kind of peace a good wife gives a Husband.
However, I introduced her to deep romance without sex (Including BJ). She regularly satisfy me in that regard.

Fast forward to last year June. She moved to a new town because of NYSC.
She rented a new place this January and That was where she met this new guy in her compound.
She became really close to the guy. The guy told her he likes her. She told the guy she has a boyfriend. But then the guy wanted to still be close with her.
When we talk in the evening 60% of her day was interwoven with this guy. They go out together, take evening strolls etc.
I told her I wasn't comfortable with her new found friend. She assured me nothing will ever happen. She doesn't like the guy. She told me the guy was just a nice guy and a good friend.

Fast forward February.
She told me she had slept in the guys room few times and they cuddled. I kicked against it and was really furious.
She begged me and told me it will never happen again.
But she did it again after few weeks in late February. I told her she likes the guy and he will soon have his way If she doesn't stay off.
Few days later she then confessed to me that she has had romance with the guy 4 different times. She even gave the guy BJ 2 times but no sex. She cried and said she didn't know how it happened.

But then, she and the guy are still cool. They still hangout in the evening. What the Bleep!

I told her to give me Lonng space. I find it very difficult to even accept her as far friend not to talk of a girlfriend. My orientation about her has totally changed.
She has since told her closest friends and even her brother to call and beg me...
She has been crying and begging me.

It still bothers me how she can do this with a guy she doesn't like and wouldn't want to be with.

Something I warned her about eventually happened and you're begging me?.

This said guy is really below me in terms of everything.
I am financially stable, I have a good car and decent apartment.
I Sub you, Paid your rent, give you enough money for upkeep.
And you do this with a guy without even a bed frame? Or even Fan or Ac?

Omo
Na wa for girls. Very funny people.
It's disgusting to even see talk to her...
girls are loyal to their feelings.

I am sure you read the part in bold. Tinubu is not the problem but years of wrong policies. Tinubu is only trying to fix the problem that was created over 4o years ago. He can't fix the problem in 10 months. Stop putting the blame on the person that is doing everything to fix the problem.
he is part of the problem. He floated the currency because the oil is not coming as much. However, he played a big advisory role in the previous govt. He also doesnt know that when you float currency , you open it up to big players like the banks who muscle everybody out to get the big pir

I suspect the CBN will not want naira to go higher than say N1300 for a while yet.

In my view, N1450 - 1650 is the pain point range where imported goods becomes less and less affordable, and investment in local alternatives can begin to take shape. This is a higher priority for the government.

If you're one of those who believe we need to go from consumption to production, then you need to know that, that transition is unlikely to happen if dollar rate is at N700. At that rate, imports will be too cheap.

The Cbn will not even allow the naira to go anywhere near N700 for a few years to come, otherwise we will be back to square one where we are back to importing everything under the sun, with no production capacity of our own. These unbridled imports will then need to be funded by government borrowing dollars for future generations to pay.

It ain't happening.

Let's try and produce more of what we use.

production? What is the cost of energy in nigeria?

It's a normal thing I think.

This is where the govt comes in with price regulation or something.

I think we've done it before, where the govt threatned to arrest any marketer/trader trying to sell rice above a particular price.

So you can't really make the govt blameless.

It is well.

Imagine something that they bought for like 8k before because the price don rise they started selling it for 20k instead of the usual selling price.
This tinubulation will make many people cry blood.
they would restock now? So you want them to run at a loss? If tibubu is running a capitalist economy why would the market woman's own be different?

Maybe for while, we should just stop blaming the politians alone for the cause of our country's economic hardship. Let us focus on our fellow citizens like the market women, transport owners like the okada, keke and bus people and banks etc. You see these set of people are also making life more difficult for other citizens. They exagerate the price of their service, and taking advantage of the national hardship as the cause of increase in price. Could you believe that on sunday, i entered a bus from my house junction to my church junction for N200. And just yesterday, i entered the same type of bus to work, and that greedy agbero was telling me it was N300. And seriously, my working place is not far away from my church, they both have the same area address, same goes to the market women. Can you see now? We are the one doing ourselves.
my dear you cannot blame them. Everybody is scared. The economy is very unstable. They have families to feed, nobody wants to shortchange himself and get burnt. The govt is not even helping matters. If there is stability and trust prices will come down.

Dear nairalanders,am sharing this to get advice from you all that have had such experience.

I'm in my early thirties ,all my life I ve avoided going out with people or going to public functions because I simply don't like it. ( Probably because am an introvert) . Now am due for marriage and ready to settle down. But Kept on meeting ladies shorter than myself, ( I'm only 5.3ft) , though beautiful with good characters, but i really don't Want to have a child/Children as short as myself. To be honest I hate my height especially as I have tall friends.

I have tried several times to accept that it's possible for short parents to have children all taller than themselves but something keep telling me,what if they're all shorter than the parents.

At least I knw am not doing bad financially but seems I have been unlucky. What do you guys think I should do .

it is only in nigeria people marry because of height that humans cant control. Thats why you marry rubbish. Did you see okonjos pix? I believe you would have ignored her if she approached you.

Why are all eyes turning on Tinubu and the federal government when it comes to addressing hunger issues in a country with 36 governors?
None of those governors has a plan to address a local issue ? what type of agricultural innovation did they undertake to pro-actively address that challenge? Did any of those governors even thought about hunger during the last political campaign? If yes then what happened?
To have a strong federal nation in Africa we need governors who can pinpoint and resolve local challenges. We cannot always
blame the federal government every day.
who controls subsidy, who controls dollars, who controls security, who controls road transportation, who controls the economy, who controls the economy. Governors are more like caretakers. The policy at the center affects everyone.

Wake me up when China stops trading with the US in dollars.

Our problem is not the dollar, our problem is our balance of trade is too poor. Apart from oil, we don't sell anything to earn forex and we produce nothing for our own consumption so no matter the currency of trade, as long as our forex earnings is low and with huge trade inbalance, that currency will appreciate drastically against ours and the problem will continue. It is simply demand and supply.

Remember the currency swap deal with China where people taught it was a game changer under Buhari in his first term, what happened?

What we need is a complete revamp of the country and the economy to become a productive nation and improve our balance of trade, every other thing else is just chasing shadows. BRICS hasn't saved South Africa's economy from distress despite being in a better shape years ago, how would it save Nigerias economy that is even in a worse shape than SA?

But like everything Nigeria, we are more interested in virtue signaling instead of tackling issues from the root cause.
please tell me what can you export that will pay you better than oil and gas? Please tell me food? lol. My dear if not for corruption ehhh Nigeria would have been in g7 since. In 5 years we spent 100 billion dollars on foreign education. Please never you underrate oil money. Corruption and bad leaders is the problem.

See attached N500 Naira note with date of 2024. If trully this was printed in 2024, then why has the government been accusing Buhari for the same sin they are committing?
Could it be true that Tinubu and Cardoso are still printing money by "ways and means"?
I leave you to ponder on this.
printing money in terms of ways and means is electronically done and not printing physical cash.

In Nigeria, 20% of our problem is from bad leaders. The remaining 80% is from fellow Nigerians.

Take my experience at a Teaching Hospital last year.

Around the first week of December, I was a little unwell. Took myself to the Teaching Hospital in question. Got there and met 3 nurses at the reception. Was asked a few questions in order to open a file and get a hospital card.

Before I knew it the nurse attending to me whipped out a big carton and told me to "do Christmas for us". Another nurse remarked that my file would never get to a doctor if I don't tip them.

I was shocked!

Imagine extorting money from sick and helpless people. Some of whom will receive news that they are sick with illnesses that'll cost them a fortune to treat. Or that they were going to die.

My heart broke that day. I wanted to pick up the carton and slam it into the fat heads of the corrupt criminals masquerading as nurses that day. But my strength failed me.

If you think Nigerian Politicians are wicked, just know that Nigerians make them look like Gandhi.

To know Nigerians is to hate Nigerians.
typical nigerian. How dare you give those evil men 20 percent. We dont like holding our leaders to account. Those nurses are probably poorly paid. Many nigerians try to survive from bribes, stealing. It is an institutional thing. Please, let us face our common enemy.
