For those who believed this cock and bull stories, here are the questions you should be asking; 1. Why are there no specific dates, especially years? (That way, people can imagine the kind of sentence that were given to criminals in Nigeria, as well as to ascertain whether it was possible for them to snatch a blackberry phone that was traced to them, etc.). 2. When did Blackberry become popular in Nigeria? And also, when was it possible for people to use prepaid phones instead of very expensive contracts in Nigeria? 3. When he ran away from Lagos to Ibadan, how many years did he engage in the uncountable robberies in Ibadan before he was caught? 5. How many years was the case in court before the sentence took place? 7. He said he spent 6 years in Prison before the execution, in which year was he supposedly executed? 8. How come there was no death confirmation after the execution? 9. How is it possible that the doctors did not report this incident to the authorities so he can be executed again or returned to the prison? 10.Does he also mean the doctors have the right to release a dangerous and convicted armed robber to the community without the consent from the right authorities? 11. Does it mean the priest can just take him to work with them without informing the authorities as well? 12. How many years did he work in his church's ministry before he became a priest three months ago? And also, if you calculate all the years it will take to go through the event he has narrated, you will wonder what a blackberry is doing in the story. Also, all the event that took place after his execution, hmmm, i say, na wa. |
mikeoh: Its possible that the white borrowed the word blacbbery from that Kingdom.. Most of modern things invented are through demonic power.. I was watching a documentary about ancient astrology on YouTube I was surprised that this ancient astrologers made some inscription on rocks about a personality on outer planet.. This figure dressed like Armstrong and appollo.. Mind you this drawing has been there more than 2000 years agoYou and your uninformed reply and borrowing of words from your so called kingdom. I bet you are unaware that there is a fruit called Blackberry. Borrowing words from that kingdom indeed. https://farm7.staticflickr.com/6026/5885927412_4b1ec762de_z.jpg Now, those are Blackberries above ![]() |
adconline: Delusion of grandeur. Africa will never be better than EU cos they are not lazy and never fold their hand wait for you to pass them. You forgot to add that they do not allow their politicians to bluntly steal their resources and then flaunt it right in their faces. |
geek: Is there a reason why you keep on putting an apostrophe between the word 'the', or are you just dull?He might be using a strange or faulty keyboard. And by the way, must you insult him? can't you address others in a mature and civilised way? |
Sky-walker:Very true. A foreigner for that matter. And also display it for the public to see he is disrespecting the American Dollar. See the law that govern such abuse below. US Code - Section 333: Mutilation of national bank obligations Whoever mutilates, cuts, defaces, disfigures, or perforates, or unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt issued by any national banking association, or Federal Reserve bank, or the Federal Reserve System, with intent to render such bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt unfit to be reissued, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both. http://codes.lp.findlaw.com/uscode/18/I/17/333 |
Gbawe: An argument can be made on its own merit that the £3,000 visa bond is simply punitively unfair because it is a lot of money !!! Most Brits cannot even afford that themselves so why levy such on Nigerians?Of course, a case for how unfair and discriminatory the £3,000 visa bond is (especially those who go there for genuine reasons and need that extra money to spend during their stay) will be supported by many civil organisations. And the truth is, that money will not deter those who want to remain in the UK. About the employment, it shows how she did not make her research to understand what is at stake before hurriedly coming with this solution. |
Gbawe: Look, let us be rational. Those folks are not Nairalanders. The level they operate at involves using cogent and relevant argument to make your point. The visitor Visa targeted has no work permit attached so no need for a Nigerian politician to talk of the health sector of others.Very true. Instead of them to find the solution to the topic at hand, they are coming up with the ones that make it look like they are in support of Nigerians who go to the UK on visitors visa and never comeback. Or those that go there for complicated health issues without paying a dime. |
occam: In reality Nigeria has no leverage nor can we force our will on most nations. Years of been ruled by visionless and corrupt leaders has consigned us to the heap of powerless nations. Think the Brits can impose such policy on South Africa or Brazil?Very good reply. Only what you forgot to mention is the fact that hardly any native British visit Nigeria as a tourist. Most consider the country unsafe for holiday. Majority of Briton's travel to Nigeria for work or business purposes. And for those who travel for work, it means their company will have to foot the bill, which they can add to the cost of whatever contract they have in Nigeria. Yes. For those who come for business, they can easily pay it and get their money back when they return. Or is Nigeria going to keep it when they return back to their country? The average Briton only visit Nigeria when he has a family member there. |
Freiburger: oga cho knockle for that, how brilliant from you. Thanks but i'm female ![]() |
coogar: nigerians make up a huge percentage of the nurses or social care workers here. if they refuse to go to work just for one day, the British economy would collapse as the brits cannot even do what these honest nigerians do on a daily basis! The more reason Nigeria should be ashamed of itself. Since the British economy will collapse without Nigerians who helped them in building Britain and making it livable, don't you think it's time Nigeria stop worrying about the British economy and make the Nigerian economy strong just as they have been doing for the UK till date? Why are honest Nigerians working hard to build British economy while they abandon their own country? And talking about how the British health system will collapse, is it not ironic that the same Nigeria is the only country where its citizens, from the president to those who can manage to afford it travel outside the country for health care? Where is Nelson Mandela receiving treatment at the moment? Have you ever heard he was flown out of South Africa to receive treatment elsewhere? I think it would be wise to provide proper health care for your citizens before getting bothered about how that of another country will collapse. Leave the British to worry about that. |

debulle: Nonsense! If you want to defend Nigerians let FG give us basic infrastures,Good roads, power, housing, education. Our economy will be strong.Who enjoys the cold weather of UK or is it the high tax rate.FG should stop embarrasing itself. The most intelligent reply to this thread. If the government provide infrastructures, security and good policies for businesses, Nigerians will not be flocking to other countries desperately. And most Nigerians that are complaining here, if other countries were taking advantage of Nigeria like most visitors do to the UK, they will not tolerate it. This is a country where Lagosians tell other tribes to go back to their states and their villages, the other say oil belongs to us, and so on. Think of what will happen if Nigeria was developed and millions of citizens are coming in every year to become a burden. You are screaming racism. What will you say about South Africans that kill other Africans and even driving Nigerians out of their houses and say they are taking over their jobs? Are they also racist? That is a fellow African country like yours. And Nigerians do not go there to take advantage of their health system or skim how to collect benefits. |
jonnycheddars: jess5 and vizboy, please get married and take this arguement to the bedroom! Thank you.Ok, is that how you do it? Sorry, this argument stays here ![]() |
Friendsmade: Some people are really funny. Instead of talking about the subject mata, they are making noise about wats not relvant. Andy guys add me on BBM: 29023C94.Who is this one? Why is it not relevant? Is it because you love plagiarising? |
vizboy: I dont need to quote a source cause it something many bloggers do. Even when they know it is not right. And then you do it because others do it, and then others do it because you do it. Nice concept ![]() |
vizboy: then how do you know she was the one that contacted wizkid. Just because she is one of the top bloggers doesnt mean she is the one who made the contact[because she also copied and pasted it on her own blog].Ok oo, maybe it was your friend that contacted Wizkid camp Then it's ok ![]() |
OliverPin: I know you love me. i love you tooHahahaha. See me see trouble o. Who is this one talking to? ![]() |
ocelot2006: Are you a govt official. If not, then go ahead wwith your lavish spending anywhere you want (don't forget to also book a class on english comprehension, 'cos you obviously missed the part that the new directive's for govt officials).Instead of insulting yourself for your lack of comprehension, you are abusing him. If you actually read and understood what he wrote, you would have known he was saying it was better for the president to reduce the salaries and allowances of government officials. That way, he will not be worried about them partying abroad because they will have less money to spend. And finally, maybe you should take your own advice and go for an English class ![]() |
vizboy: here you go again no need for much argument because i know 98% of all bloggers are just into copy and paste so you shouldnt just start belaming the op for the same thing you know even the blogger you are quoting also do.You don't get it, the problem is not about the op copying an article or not. It is about giving credit. Especially when you use personal phrases such as "I reached out to Wizkid's camp." If he had changed that phrase to Linda contacted Wizkid camp, or use a general phrase such as, according to those who contacted Wizkid camp or any other phrase, we will know he was not the one that contacted them. Plagiarism 101 |
vizboy: stop that rattling of yours. What you dont know is that Linda also copied and paste it. Vanguard is the real source she only changed the headline. So they are both quilty of same offenceSorry, there is no rattling here, whether the article was published in Vanguard first or not is not the problem. The problem is the fact your friend copied Linda word for word and pass it off like he/she was the one. I am sure there is no where the so called Vanguard article wrote "I reached out to Wizkid's camp." If you read my first reply, you will notice i said it would have been nice to rephrase that sentence. So, Vanguard might have been the first to publish it, which is nothing new. Other major newspapers do the same. And as you can see, Linda wrote it in her own words and contacted Wizkid's camp. Kapish!!! Your dear friend did not bother to write it in his own words or at least rephrase where Linda said i contacted Wizkid camp. And by the way, when Linda copy articles word for word, she states and give credit to where it was taken from. Your dear friend should learn to do the same. |
Friendsmade: I reached out to Wizkid's camp but they kept mum on the matter. But someone privy to the case said they believe an impostor collected the money and not Wizkid. Hopefully, Wizkid's camp will eventually release a statement clearing the air.Your level of plagiarism is appalling. You copied articles from Linda Ikeji's blog and use her personal words as quoted above without referencing her. How can you say "I reached out to Wizkid's camp" when it was actually Linda that reached out to them? Don't you think it would have been better for you to rephrase that sentence? |
Rossikk: You need to go and STUDY the development of nations on a case by case basis. You have a LOT to learn.Like i have said before, keep on deceiving yourself. Keep on blaming the west while you keep on making more money without improving the lives of the citizens. |
onitshaigbo: Which ones? The only ones are those that the whites left behind and form the majority or are still in power. Remember China and Japan were never colonised. India and Pakistan were colonised, and they are still dirt-poor, much poorer than Nigeria.Of course, Nigeria is the most developed country among all developing countries. Keep on deluding yourself. |
Rossikk: Yawwnnnnn. We all know what happened to our real leaders - the post-independence progressive heroes like Lumumba, Zik, Awo, Murtala Muhammed, Kaunda, Sankara, Nkrumah, Nyerere, Kenyatta and others. Men who were determined to make Africa hit the ground running. All were either assassinated or sabotaged by western imperial intelligence agencies and their local collaborators. The result? Their successors were less altruistic, less scrupulous, less progressive, and more prone to compromise and corruption. Gaddafi tried to keep the faith via strong head. He ended up being gang-rap.ed to death by western-supported soldiers for failing to sell his country to them. And keep on making excuses for those who are robbing your country dry. Keep on blaming the west and Nigeria will change for better. And who knows, maybe you are a part of the people keeping the country the way it is because it benefits you and is to the disadvantage of millions. Keep on blaming the other and exonerate yourself, the trick has been working. Dumb down the masses and make all of them blame the west and take the attention away from you to operate freely. GOOD job!!! |
A-town:That is why we have to stop blaming the EU, America and colonisation. When we do that, we can search deep in our heart and realise we are the problem. When we keep on blaming others, we are only giving the leaders an excuse to continue doing what they are doing. In so doing, we are also telling ourselves and the next generation that corruption, bribery and all the vices that go on in the country are ok. There is no country in the world that is free of corruption, but some are just so gross. Some like Nigeria. When we stop blaming others, we will start taking action. Until then, it will be almost impossible to make a difference. We have a country where a few are stupendously rich and the majority are poor or managing to go through life daily. |
pipeewa: Wow,Bravo! how come nobody commented on this. Whoever was involved in this did a good job. But I think the full Yoruba translation would have sounded better. nothwistanding that was a good job. Watching the original version was everly interesting cant wait to hear what Hakeem and (Semiu) would say in those funny scenes. (Se mr Latin wa nibe ni?)lol I don't know why ooo. Maybe they did not find it interesting ![]() |
Darlene babe: call it anything u like, but 2 me, it humility. d man is so humble, n see everybody as his own. infact humble to d cordNo, you don't only like him to the cord, you like him to the spinal cord ![]() |
koolkamzzy: Wikipedia said he was born 1977 op says 1981, which one we go blive? If you read and understand, you will realise the op said the photo was taken in 1981 when Eldee was 4 years old ![]() |
Good news for those Nigerians for the Yoruba speaking Nigerians and other Africans we speak the language. Eddie Murphy's most popular movie, "Coming To America" is now available in Yoruba language. The iconic movie was dubbed by some very creative Nigerian guys known as Tayo, Tunde and Ayo. According to the group, the dubbing was "made for fun." For those who have grandma's and grandpa's who speak Yoruba but do not speak English, this is an opportunity for you to let them enjoy this classic movie (lol). So, in the spirit of fun, according to the trio, here is a happy viewing to everyone that speaks the Yoruba Language. ITbomb: Business minds always stressed on the importance of creating awareness for your brand and product to be successful but I keep wondering how these ones succeeded without adverts.1. I'm sure it is among the first brand of sugar that was ever sold in Nigeria. And with time, it gained brand recognition and even use as a generic name by a lot of people. 2 and 3. I guess it's the same as number 1 4. You just mentioned salt, an ingredient that is required for every food we cook. You did not mention any brand. So, salt is salt and people need it as a necessity. 6. Garri is popular Nigerian food and people will but it where ever you sell it. You also did not state any specific brand so there is nothing to argue about why one sells better than another. 7. Products like LG and Samsung are new to the market in comparison to Sony. And Sony makes a lot of advertisement worldwide. How can you advertise Garri and Salt with no brand name attached to it? That means you will be advertising for every brand of salt and not yours. |
