The number of female medical doctors these days in different schools is greater than male students.
Some of the male health workers are actually perverts. I HAVE HEARD STORIES... I WOULDN'T LIKE A MALE HEALTH WORKER TO ATTEND TO MY WIFE AS WELL EVEN AS A CHRISTIAN!

A tip that can help is studying their Quran/ Sharia laws/respected educated leaders on the actual 'ruling' on male doctors for female patients so you can sensitize based on their religion.

A lot of people take their religion seriously on the surface (though they never study what it actually says) so they hold on to idiosyncrasies that actually have no basis in the religion.

For the people screaming the 'North', we are still grappling with 'God forbid CS', hospital births and blood transfusions in the West. It is just that it is isn't marred with underage marriages.

Nigerians, unfortunately, don't think that way. They believe that everyone must be an entrepreneur.. They don't understand that not everybody is business-minded. No society has ever thrived on the idea that everyone should be an entrepreneur. Not even the big daddy of capitalism (the USA). You must have your doctors, lawyers, engineers, pharmacists, nurses, accountants, teachers, cleaners, garbage truck men,electricians, plumbers, painters, mechanics, soldiers and even road sweepers for any thriving society to succeed.

Then you are Licensed Practical Nurse level/category ( LPN) under USA's category if at all you go via NCLEX....So, u can write the particular board u are interested in for this and before this or alongside it, ask the advertising agencies if they have room for LPN from Africa then, u will write NCLEX PN not RN. Add that u are already getting bedside experience.

There are agencies ( u have to research) that accept Assistant Nurses with bedside experience without NCLEX and u can qualify too. But, they would want to see career growth via academic progress later.

UK: Assistant Nursing registration with nmc, write CBT (Assistant Nursing) here in Naija. When you write them, u emphasize that u are a USA LPN equivalent.

Both can work for u( USA & UK)....even as u get bedside experience ( which may not necessarily matter to UK that may need Pry Health Nurse, Community Nurse Mental Health Nurse.... I advise u check their job sites to see their requirements and even write some.

U can also just study further in Nigeria after your 2 years work experience though if the opportunity to travel knocks you can move. Most especially have an undying faith.
