There is RiseVest. You can research about them

sonofElElyon:

Yes it does. Thank You sir

thesilentone:

There's a long answer and a short answer. Let me provide a short answer, other people can provide the longer version.

Pick any public traded company in the US, they must file a 10K amongst other reports. (I've used DAL in this scenario)
Open it up, type Revenue in the search column (there's a deeper level of doing this)
Keep clicking next till you get to Net Income (Consolidated Statements of Operations)
Write the figure down (4767) in millions
Then type Debt in the search column ( there's a.....you know)
Keep clicking next till you get to total long term debt (8052) in millions

I use the Debt and finance leases figure (8873) in the Non-current liabilities section of the Consolidated Balance Sheets to calculate if it higher just to build in safety.

To know the number of years: Long term debt/Net Income = less than 2 years.

Interpretation: It will take them less than 2 years to pay back their long term debt from their earnings.

Hope this helps.

Please sir, how does one go about checking the debts of some of these companies? I have some i would love to check myself, if you please share. Thank You

thesilentone:

Solid picks and I agree they didn't fall by much. Most of them are trading near their Year High and ALL have less than 2 years debts, infact ACN has zero debts. ADP - less than a year. V - 1.5 years
JBLU has 3.5years debt but I can see the attraction. I haven't looked at apparel stocks because it's not on my radar for now. I'll check if there are any interesting ideas. Do you have any specifics in mind?

EDITED
I have had a quick look at NIKE (NKE), solid balance sheets, less than a year's debt; trading near its year high but EX-DIV date is 29/05, payment - 01/07.
JKHY is another good shout with zero debts, trading near its year high but EX-DIV date was yesterday. It actually did a pullback in price yesterday.

I don't know much about TD Ameritrade but you can try FreeTrade, since you are resident in the UK

Alaska90:
Hello Guys,

I have been trying to open an account with TD Ameritrade online from UK where I am resident

But after filling in my personal details ( name, country, add in UK ), the application is stopped with message it cant process application from every country and that I

should call an account manager or something like that.

So I could not pass the address page of the application.

Please I don't know what to do because I thought UK is not blocked from applying

1. Please any suggestion on what to do?

2 . And secondly can I use a family address in US to register?......I have a US checking bank account link to this address in US

Can anybody help please

Thanks

Isnt the USO cheap at $21 at the moment? Considering that it is down by 43% in the past one month and the US economy is currently reopening, creating demand for it.

Please sir, I need the materials for the stock market investment. I have just sent you an email.
Thank you and God bless.

aremso:

Pls ma you can mail me on arem.sam@gmail.com so I can send some materials to you for you to study as guide. I don't tell people stocks to buy except my households so I want u to do it yourself. Since my experience of 2008 market crashed, I have told myself that I can't make loss again in capital market and as such, I went extra mile to read about stock investment. Even my broker can't tell me stocks to buy and time to buy it. I only discuss with him occasionally to sample his mind on a stock after I have done my due diligence. Before I could buy diff stocks like 10 companies but now just max of 4 and am OK for my yr target and am thinking of reducing it to just 2. These are the result of self research and due diligence. Get prepared and become great like my mentor Warren buffet, many will keep complaining about APC PDP while guys are making millions legitimately. See you in the board room!

I enquired from my account officer at FBN about the Eurobond minimum investible amount and he said its $100k

awesomeJ:

I once learnt that the minimum investment for Eurobonds with Investment One Financial Services is $200k (N72 m).

I'm sure with time, we'll find out more about other investment houses.

Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Jessglam: 10:57pm On Nov 18, 2016
Yea, you can place your bid through FBN. I did in previous auction and was successful.

awesomeJ:
Please those that have used FBN recently, are customers now allowed to specify their own rate? contrary to the old pattern of compelling customers to go with the bank rate?
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Jessglam: 1:40pm On Oct 27, 2016
Its between 3rd and 4th of November i believe.

The Most advisable thing to do is to throw in your bid latest Monday before 12 noon.

PhoenixReal:
Thanks to everyone who have contributed in the enlightenment of the general public about Treasury Bill.

please when is the next auction? My account officer told me that it is scheduled to hold on the 4th of Nov. I need a confirmation from the house.

Hi Gurus in the house, please advise what is the best rate for a 182 days tenor. Thanks in advance.
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Jessglam: 4:39pm On Aug 06, 2016
Are you Ghanaian?
Do you bid for yourself?

walexlo78:
I have bought several times from ecobank. Its not their business of who you are. Just collect the form, fill and submit. If any issue, escalate to their manager. They want to force you in FD vs 25% rate of TB.

Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Jessglam: 1:48pm On Aug 06, 2016
I have a work permit and a bank account also. I used stanbic IBTC Bank in ghana.

walexlo78:
Do you have a bank account? Do you have a valid residence permit? Its not true that foreigners cannot buy TB in Ghana.

Thanks a lot

ukay2:

Please transfer the money to naija and enjoy the high NTB rates currently.....just send the money to your naija bank and instruct your bank on the auctions-91; 182 & 365 days you want with the rate you want with STANBIC IBTC Bank or go with the bank rate with GTB, FBN , eco bank or any other naija banks you have...

Gurus in the house, please advise. I tried to do tbills in gh a a Nigerian but I was told they do not sell to foreigners. I wa advise to do fixed deposit instead at 14.24 for three months. Meanwhile I figured 91day tbills in nig I 15percent plus. Do you advise I transfer the money back to home and get the tbills?

Please @feelamong assist me with this.

Hello Everyone. ! Fantastic job on this thread, I love the flow of information. Please assist me with answers to some questions;

Do banks give a lesser interest rate on treasury bills even after auction (if you do not bid)? Thing is, I contacted first bank to make enquiries about their interest rate, the lady told me it was 7.5% for a 91day bill as at the last auction and that there wasn't any auction in the last few days because of the holiday.

Also, please advise what bank offers a solid and genuine interest rate for T-bills.

Please help!
