The real reason likemind youth should combine resources in every field to break the jinx. Collectivelly we can do this. We are the future leaders.

Our govt is always promising what they can not do. How many real farmers has benefited from the billions they have been quoting on papers for farmers? Nigerian government project are always in prints, not pratical. Dont go into farming banking on Nigeria government assisstance or aid.

Dear members, from monday, 5th of August, Redeem Christian Church of God will be having their annual conference. Motorist are advice to make use of alternative routes and avoid Lagos - Ibadan express road for the next two weeks to avoid the congested traffic.

As a geophysicst, your expertise will be needed in mostly basement terrain areas. First point is your location. If you are not yet based in basement area then you may consider relocating. Some of the Basement covered area in Nigeria are Lokoja, abuja, minna, part of Akure, Abeokuta, owerri and lot of others. Secondly, what access do you have to geophysics equipments? Equipment such as Terrammetter or Seismic Parametters. Subdivided into: which area do you need to and develop your skills? Is it Seismic or Vertical electrical sounding? Seismic equipment are expensive and therefore not commonly found in Nigeria. However, Unilag and Bauchi University have it. VES shorter name for Terrametter is the most common type of equipments for borehole water sourcing. You are taking a very bold and good step. I wish you all the best

The joint mechanised farming project is still on. Agriculture is the future of our country. Lets join our little resources to make a big difference.

The Ogun Oshun River Basin Development Authority have farm land for lease in SAKI East or Oke Ogun Area of Oyo State. There is also a dam that is used irrigation during the dry season. There are two types of irrigation there a) pivot system and b) sprinkler system. You can be an all round the year farmer. The land in that area are very fertile and good for cassava, yam, sorghum, maize and all sorts. You may also want to take part in our joint youth mechanized farming. We have 50 hectares to be shared among interested farmers.

@ davj50. We are mainly based in Ogun State and extending to Oyo now. If we can get enough youth that have the same interest, we will be glad to assist. Cooperative is the only way by which youth can empower ourself.

The cost of removing trees on an hectare will depend on a) the no of trees on the hectare b) the type of trees too. Note :These trees when dried can be used for charcoal production and sold. This will compensate for some or all the cost of stumping and removing trees

The irrigation farmland is N2,500 per acre.
