For me I will say it's the mother and here are my debate list below you can counter it with your own list if you feel mine is s wrong . Pregnancy and Childbirth: Mothers undergo the physical challenges of pregnancy, labor, and delivery, which can be intense and demanding. Breastfeeding: Mothers who breastfeed often have to manage feeding schedules, potential difficulties like mastitis, and the time-consuming nature of breastfeeding sessions. Primary Caregiving Role: Mothers are often seen as the primary caregivers, responsible for nurturing, comforting, and meeting the emotional needs of children. Multi-tasking: Mothers frequently juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as household chores, childcare, and work responsibilities. Emotional Labor: Mothers may bear a significant amount of emotional labor, including managing family relationships, mediating conflicts, and providing emotional support. Societal Expectations: Society often places higher expectations and pressures on mothers to excel in both professional and domestic roles including moral roles for example don't smoke or go to the bar you are a woman. Mental Load: Mothers often carry the mental load of planning and organizing family activities, appointments, and household logistics. Sleep Deprivation: Especially in the early stages of parenting, mothers may experience more interrupted sleep due to nighttime feedings and childcare responsibilities. Career Sacrifices: Many mothers face challenges in balancing career advancement with family responsibilities, leading to potential career sacrifices. Stereotypes and Bias: Stereotypes and biases can lead to mothers being undervalued or taken for granted in their contributions to the family. It's important to note that these points are based on societal perceptions and norms, and individual experiences may vary widely. Both mothers and fathers play crucial roles in their families, and their contributions should be acknowledged and appreciated equally. 12 Likes 1 Share

Politics / What Is The Reason Why Rain Don't Fall In Asaba Delta State? by Jewskillmohamed: 3:33pm On Mar 29 |
Unraveling the Mystery of Rain in Asaba, Delta State: Questioning Rainfall Patterns and Rainmaking Practices Asaba, the capital city of Delta State, Nigeria, is known for its unique weather patterns, particularly the scarcity of rainfall compared to other regions. This phenomenon has sparked curiosity and raised questions about why rain does not fall frequently in Asaba or why there is little rainfall. Additionally, there are intriguing beliefs about rainmakers actively pushing rain away. Let's delve into these intriguing aspects and explore the possible reasons behind them. Unpredictable Rainfall: Nature's Quirk or Climate Change? The irregularity of rainfall in Asaba has puzzled residents and researchers alike. While neighboring areas experience regular downpours during the rainy season, Asaba often sees comparatively less rainfall. One hypothesis suggests that this could be due to localized weather patterns influenced by geographical factors. The positioning of mountains, wind patterns, and proximity to large water bodies can all play a role in shaping local climate conditions. However, it's essential to consider broader environmental factors such as climate change. With global climate patterns undergoing significant shifts, regions like Asaba may be experiencing alterations in their traditional weather cycles. This could explain the variability and reduced frequency of rainfall observed in recent years. Asaba's geographical location plays a significant role in shaping its rainfall patterns. Situated in the southeastern part of Nigeria, Asaba is positioned in the rain shadow of the Obudu Plateau and the Jos Plateau. These elevated landforms act as barriers, blocking moist air masses from the Atlantic Ocean and limiting the amount of precipitation that reaches Asaba and its surrounding areas. Rainmaking Practices: Tradition vs. Science Another intriguing aspect is the role of rainmakers and the belief that they can influence rainfall patterns. In traditional African cultures, rainmakers hold significant cultural and spiritual significance. They are believed to possess the ability to summon rain through rituals and ceremonies. While these beliefs are deeply rooted in cultural heritage, modern science provides alternative explanations. Meteorologists and climatologists study atmospheric conditions, cloud formations, and precipitation mechanisms to understand and predict rainfall. The clash between traditional beliefs and scientific understanding raises thought-provoking questions about the intersection of culture, spirituality, and scientific knowledge. Conclusion : Embracing Complexity and Seeking Understanding The mystery of rain in Asaba, Delta State, reflects the complex interplay of natural forces, cultural beliefs, and scientific inquiry. Rather than viewing these aspects in isolation, embracing the complexity and seeking interdisciplinary collaboration can lead to enriched insights. As we continue to question, explore, and learn, we move towards a deeper understanding of the world around us, including the enigmatic patterns of rainfall in places like Asaba. Seun Mynd44 Nlfpmod |

Olachase: You can't lace my shoe so give this to your father. Dear Father of olachase, I hope this letter finds you well. I feel compelled to share some thoughts regarding your son's upbringing. While I understand that parenting is a challenging journey, I believe there are areas where your efforts could have been more effective in shaping his behavior and character. One aspect that stands out is discipline. It seems that your son may not have received consistent and firm guidance in understanding boundaries and consequences. This lack of clear boundaries can lead to confusion and difficulty in navigating social and personal responsibilities. Additionally, there appears to be a gap in teaching essential life skills. In my neighborhood here in egbe, this stupid landlady sge sells dried bonga fish known for her strong prejudices against certain tribes especially "omo igbo". She owned a row of apartments (one one room) in ikotun, a vibrant area near synagogue of Joshua, where people from different backgrounds coexisted harmoniously until one fateful day. It started innocently enough with rumors circulating about thefts in the area. Tensions rose as suspicion fell on a group of igbos hawking and sleeping in the area at night, among whom was a young boy named Chidi. Chidi was from the Igbo tribe, which immediately drew the landlady's ire. She spread malicious gossip, painting all Igbo people as thieves and troublemakers. this very evening, as Chidi was just leaving where he went to take some satchet Kai Kai , a mob of angry residents, fueled by the landlady's words, confronted him. Despite his protests of innocence, they refused to listen. The situation quickly escalated, with shouts of "kill am na Igbo" by this stupid landlady her beef is what I don't understand In the chaos that followed, an innocent bystander, an elderly man named Azeez, tried to intervene and calm the crowd. Mistakenly labeled as an Igbo sympathizer, he became the target of their blind rage. The mob pounced on him with sticks and stones, unleashing a wave of brutality that stained the pavement where food stuffs are kept to be sold . As Azeez lay motionless, his blood mixing with the dust of ikotun, the reality of the violence shocked some bystanders into action. They managed to shield Chidi from further harm and called the authorities, who arrived just in time to prevent another tragedy. The landlady, now confronted with the consequences of her hateful rhetoric, retreated into silence, her once influential voice reduced to a shameful whisper. Amidst the chaos and violence Before the mob turned its fury towards Chidi, they had already killed another boy, who was Igbo. It was a haunting realization that fueled the terror gripping the neighborhood. this grim reminder of the dangers of unchecked hatred but Yoruba do travel abroad will they complain about racism when a white man attack ? violence had led to the loss of innocent lives, leaving the community reeling with regret and sorrow in the most devastating way possible, highlighting the destructive power of prejudice and the irreversible consequences of mob mentality. 3 Likes |
