Sad, very sad right now..

I am a poultry farmer. I have been on for 2 years now. My worst experience is ordering birds from poultry plaza. Those guys don't take time to select day old chicks probably because they already have the name. Their birds were dying anyhow. No one should even say management cos it's the same management I had been using before that particular birds and have still been using with success.

Hahahahaha... Tbh I asked that question because you said you don't want anything to do with broilers once you start cross breeding them cockerel & Co and I heard from a reliable source that rearing these cross breeds is quite tedious and expensive

yea, am taken them to hatchery. I took four broiler crossed with cockerel and the four came out healthy chicks.

Cockerel at tender age have little or no flesh on, cocci will hit it hard at that stage if allowed...I once had a cocci break out...I had 8 broilers and 51 cockerel in my pen at that moment at about 4 weeks of age.. cocci took 4 broilers and about 43 cockerel..I was just picking their carcasses like they were hit by IBD...Btw with yoir experiment, are you taking the eggs to the hatchery?

Do not patronize This guy, Visit an existing factory he has supplied machines to and confirm the workability of the machines.
I am offering my factory for such visits.

He supplied the following machines there.

1. 2# peelers -- Never worked since installation
2. 2# hydraulic pressers - working but not up to requested capacity
3. 1# Automatic hydraulic pressers - Never worked since installation
4. 1# shifter - working
5. 1# hammermill - never worked since installation ( was told by a fabricator the hammermill is not meant for garri but Tomato or pepper)

6. 2# automatic fryers - never worked since installation.

My factory is located at KM3 Iseyin/Ibadan Expressway.

I lost more than N4million on these machines.

Couldn't keep up with the lengthy thread but do not give gumboro vaccine to birds that are weak, the vaccine will just kill them, when a bird comes down with a viral infection, your best bet is to boost their weakened immune system and apply yoir vaccine but in the case of gumboro, IBD only spends about 3 days on the farm wreaking havoc before it finally takes its leave...
Please do not vaccinate already sick birds...Use doxygen or other strong antibiotics to boost immune and then apply vaccine..GOD bless your business...I'd be most welcome to entertain your questions and ask other farmers and vets I know around if I can't can't solution to your questions..I can't keep up with the lengthy thread...
