All my life I have always wish to marry a slim girl with height. But now I am face with a short beautiful fair decent lovely girl who has showed me love more than anyone as ever done.

I love everything about her except her height. Am just praying for God to give me the grace to see pass that because I am tire of searching and i really want to settle down.

Truth is Truth! You can't do anything against the truth, but for the truth. We have to know that nothing is impossible. If you take holiness to be impossible, then you will die in sin. For the fact that the Bible talks about holiness, means that it is achievable. Let's not use our shortcomings in the past go judge our uprightness in the future.
So relationship without sex is very much achievable. But it is easier when the relationship is based on God's word; when it is a Godly relationship. And to help us further, we need to be imparted with the spirit of holiness for actualization. It is possible folks. Let's try and work hard to achieve it.
Even if most persons dont agree or like my write up, I just hope I made sense to few.

I appreciate the effort by the OP in putting these here and I thank the MODs for taking this to frontpage. This will enable some critique and some corrections made

First off, I am a recruiter and I have been screening CVs for clients, rewriting and appraising CVs as well since 2013. The CV presented by the OP can be better rewritten as bellow:




The ABOVE is just a quick and simple/better presentation.

Now let me explain some of the changes...

For the HEADER, I removed the social media because I do not need it. Besides, you might forget to remove it if you submit your CV in hard copy. I may just consider you dumb if you printed your CV in hard copy and there is a social media profile link. It is best to just remove it.

For the Career Statement/Objective, the info the OP gave there is a duplicate of the Education Section. Career Objective implies what or how you intend to use your experience or skills in my organisation. So tell me that and not a copy of what you will still tell me. Mostly, when I am interviewing candidates, my first questions come from the Career Statement/Objective because I realise may people just copy and paste and do not even know what is written there.

Then the Skills and Competencies are the next. This is where you nail it with the skills you have. Check the Job Specification of the job advert and identify the ones you have, then include in this section.

For the EDUCATION, the name of the university should not come first. I am more concerned about what you studied than where you studied it. It is in few cases where the client wants candidates from a specific school that may count. That is why working with the JD of the posted job is important. DO NOT include your grade IF and ONLY IF the JD does not request it and IF it is below SECOND CLASS LOWER. This will erode any discrimination the CV reviewer/screener may have. It helps you advance to the next stage so that they can see you at the interview and get to know you better instead of judging you from the letterings of your CV

For EXPERIENCE, that is already well written but there is a new observation which I am still trying to get valid reasons for backed up with research before I make it known to the Recruiting Community and post on my blog. I think placing the industry or what your company does beside the company name on your CV will put you in better light with the recruiters. For example:

ABC Company (plastic manufacturing company) Sapele, Delta State.

This will make me know what industry you have relevant experience and save me more time researching the company in case I am searching for candidates in a particular industry. Some companies are not popular and one may not know immediately what industry they are in e.g Andela (popular, but do you know the industry?). Placing the industry will also enable Applicant Tracking Systems to pull your CV out faster just because of the 'industry keyword'. For instance, I am presently searching for Business Analysts that have relevant experience (5 years) in the Manufacturing industry (send CV to cv@acegoals.com). I need to know the industry you have worked in from just looking at your CV because I will get a lot and would not want to just start searching each 'unpopular' company

Now, I included LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE because you have better advantage if I know that you have to ability to lead, take decisions and influence others positively. So even if it is Volunteering experience, please include it.

Now PERSONAL DETAILS. Please and please, DO NOT INCLUDE all your life's info there. I don't what to know your village or birthplace or Local government etc... In fact, remove anything PERSONAL DETAILS for experienced applications or individuals. It should only come in if the JD or job post says something about it, then you MUST include the info the employer wants. If age is very much on your side, please include it. For graduate trainees or fresh graduates younger than 26 years please include it. Employers love young graduates for Management Trainee or Fresh Graduate roles

Others are self-explanatory.

IN CONCLUSION...
Never include on your CV anything that will not help you secure an INTERVIEW or the job with the company OR TAKE OUT anything that you cannot defend and would put you in bad light with the employer.

I think the bold should apply to ladies too. I mean, you will definitely need to spend money at one point or another in a relationship. So why go into a relationship when you can't even take care of yourself alone first? I know some people will be like "it doesn't have to involve money and all that" but trust me, it is not true. You will still spend money. The calls you make to each other, the data you use in chatting all the visits... they involve money not stones.

I am of the opinion that if you are not financially stable to an extent, you have absolutely NO business being in a relationship/dating or even married.
And this applies to both men and women!

I don't like it when write ups like this drag the whole gender through the mud because of some few bad eggs.
And my advise to the guys always complaining about women leaving them because of their financial status is this; struggle to be financially balanced to an extent before you think about being in a relationship or getting married. After the struggle, find a lady at the same financial range or level as you, then you can start a relationship! Same applies to the women!
And yes LOVE is never and will never be enough, compatibility is KEY. Friendship and respect are also important factors in a relationship. And that's why I don't see anything wrong with same-category relationships/marriage. Things are easier that way.

Relationship shouldn't be a poverty elevation program, we have friends and family for that. I'm a firm believer of solo struggle.

I bliv you to an extent. I even prefer starting up from friendship before going into serious relationship. But that solo struggle is not applicable in all situation because sometimes on your path of challenge, you might just find your God's sent spouse who is compatible with you.

I hardly comment in things like this. This was the same thing they did too TB Joshua, after a while we didnt hear anything again. He even waxed stronger later in his life and ministry. Hello bro! Jst stumbled on your write up now. I must say a big thank you for the enlightenment coupled with the fact that we studied the same course, qualification and almost the same grade too. But i have some enquiries to make.
1. How did you get to apply and take the GRE exam? What are its procedure? What were the questions all about and how do i source for reading materials?
2. When you applied for your masters in the US, was it GRE that sent the school your details having confirmed and scrutinize your transcript? Or was there any document GRE sent to you which you used in applying with?
3. Is it possible for me to apply for scholarship for my Masters degree with HND? Cos what i have been seeing is first degree with 2:1. I am yet to lay hold on any scholarship with HND as part of its requirement.

I have been going through this since 2009, asking questions about the equivalence of HND In US, this and that, but unfortunately I couldn't find a reliable answer, till February 2012, and I thought of sharing it cos I believe other are out there like I was before.

First I would like to start by saying. YES!!!! NIGERIAN HND IS EQUIVALENT TO A US BACHELOR DEGREE. Am sure of what am saying because my HND transcripts (that's both my ND & HND) were evaluated as an American bachelors degree.

I would also like to tell you that working or getting admitted into American colleges is based on American qualifications and grades, so to work or get admission into American colleges, first try and get your certificate, diploma, degree or whatever you hold into American equivalence, and you can do that by sending your transcripts to one of the evaluation agencies, WES (world Education Services) http://www.wes.org/ is accepted by almost all American colleges but you can still find out more at http://www.naces.org/members.htm

I would like to share my experience: I graduated with a HND in Electronics Engineering in 2009 from a Nigerian Federal Polytechnic, and sent my transcript to World Education Services WES on October 2011, I paid $202 for the service, the evaluation is supposed to be completed in 7days once all my documents are received, but we all know our 9ja na, considering the fact that the country was in crises it took me 3months to get my transcript to WES, again early JAN 2012 WES sent back another copy to FED POLY, for verification, and at the time our beloved nation is on strike due to subsidy matter and boko haram wahala, till 1st feb 2012, that's when WES got a feed back and my application became complete, on 8th Feb, 2012, my evaluation was complete.

I graduate in Nigeria with 3.14 out of 4.0 CGPA, which is of course our Upper Credit as we call it. But to my surprise from the evaluation my GPA was high to 3.56 out 4.0, that is based on the American System, moreover, in US they use a system of Credit Hours to determine your qualification, and in other to have a US bachelor degree, you must at-least have a minimum of 120 Credit Hours, but from my evaluation I had 135 Credit Hours, which is almost more-than that of the US. And as am typing this I have already applied to one of the top 15 engineering and technology university in the world for my masters program with a HND, and they have assured me that I would get it, after all am having a 3.56 GPA, and a good GRE score (GRE is an exams u sit for before applying for most graduate programs in US, its just like GMAT).
But still there are some few things you should be aware of, just because your transcripts are equivalent to a US degree, doesn't mean you will not take undergraduate courses, yes you will automatically be enrolled to a masters degree, as far as you meet the requirements, but there are some certain courses that you must take which of course are undergraduate courses, and the reason is because those courses are expected by all American graduates and in other to be one, you must go through it, such courses are like those related to the American policies, government, etc. (I haven't reached that stage, am just telling you based on what the school I applied for feed me too).

So to all those who keep asking, what is the equivalence of HND in US, its equivalent to a BACHELOR DEGREE but you really need to make good grades in your HND before you have something of worth, because I don't think there is any American University that would give you masters program with a minimum of 3.0GPA, U might get a provisional admission with a minimum of 2.5GPA (This is based on my reasoning, and what I have been going through, so just look out, cos I might be wrong)

If you need any proof regarding this, or guidelines don't hesitate to tell me or reply me, I promise i would help if I can, cos few years ago, I was once in the same point.

When you are talking about cost of a building i believe you will also include the cost of your M&E installations. You cant get an acurate and professional costing just like that. Most people will just guess or probably give you what they think. Although you can be given an estimatimation (either over or under). For professionalism, a complete building cost comprises of the civils, electrical and mechanical works which is the M&E. If all the designs are done (both architectural, structural and M&E), a capable quantity surveyor can get you the total cost including labour from their bill. But this process can also be avoided to safe cost.
