Thank you so much. I will do just that.

alftdbts:
Just state the obvious, mention both countries. I have been denied a US and U.K. visa in the past (If you not sure when do not put date).
You don't necessarily have to provide any detail if you don't know why! Most time reasons for denial in both countries are vague sef.

good morning hse, i have one question bothering me.
I applied for USA and UK visas between(2002 - 2004) and was rejected ,i can't remember any details vividly again, not even the date/month i applied for both. The only thing i remember is that i applied to UK when UK just started DHL visa processing(applicant will send and recieve package via dhl).
Please honorable house, how do i answer the part of the visa form that says "have you ever been denied before?" and "why".

Good afternoon gurus in the house.

I got admission to study Msc.TME at UNB for fall 2018, though I deferred to fall 2019 and new admission letter has been sent to me.

The confusion now is that it is a year program. Having gone through discussions on this thread, I am scared this doesn't reduce my chances of getting a visa when I apply. Please is it safe to look for another school with 2 years Msc program

Thank you.

Ok. Thank you for your help.

mcobex:
The second one is most important
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jibb3rilz: 10:13am On Mar 20, 2018
Okay then. But please i need clarification on what i am convincing the vo about

1. Is it the fact that I am self sponsoring myself, or

2. The fact that I will leave canada at the end of my 1 year program.

Thank you so much for your help.

mcobex:
Since it is for 1 year, I will advise you use yourself as the sole sponsor(if you have the funds). Though you will have to work on your sop very well and try to convince the vo(especially since it's for a year program ). Best of luck
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jibb3rilz: 10:08pm On Mar 19, 2018
Thank you so much @mcobex.

The program is for a year and current program fee is CAD 21,000 without accommodation. The first term for current session is CAD 11,000.

mcobex:
What is the
duration of your intended program? if more than 1 year, how will you pay for the other year(s)? Cos I will advise you have access to funding for the entirety of your program. Your answers to the above questions will determine what's next.

Sorry about this.

Update: UNB rejected my application for admission.

MENG Mechanical Engineering, Fall 2018. Applied 8th November, 2017. Admission application rejected 16th March, 2018.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jibb3rilz:
Thank you for your response.

I am thinking of giving them part of my tuition (1st term) and then they will transfer it to my account. something to show that they paid the money into my account. I just want an entity with good account balance.

Will this be enough?

mcobex:
If all the church will do is write letter and give you their statement of account(without them paying your tuition fee or paying the money into your account) then IT'S A WASTE OF TIME AND RESOURCES ON YOUR PART!

Good morning everyone,

Thank you to all the ogas in the house and everybody that contributes and helps newbies like me. Hopefully one day, i will give back to this community and thread.

To my question,

I will start my TRV by april but my major challenge is sponsor. Luckily, my pastor accepted that the church will write sponsorship letter and also give me statment of account but i will be the one to pay the tuition fees. Please what documents can the church give me for sponsorship.

I appreciate all input.

Thank you.

My sponsor(God father) has shown interest in my career growth and even helped me get admission,on several occasions he has given me money for school(by hand),no means to show transfer of funds made by him. please how do i convince the VO that he will sponsor me?

Frankrobbn1:
sanjay01,

The bolded is okay to show proof of relationship with maternal uncle, to clear all doubts of the visa officer try provide previous/past financal support from your uncle i.e payment of tuition fees in the past, transfers of funds from your uncle account to yours in the past Add your uncle birth certificates too and his int'l passport bio data page.

You can add your mom church marriage certificate is okay.

Please wonderful family of NL, help me with answers.

jibb3rilz:
Hmmm... I have learnt a lot on this thread. Thanks to everyone that has participated and still participating.

I have applied for admission at UNB, and hopefully will start my TRV for September admission by May, 2018. I currently work and earn about CAD 550. I will use my SOA that shows payment of salary from my current employer but I have an investment with binary options which I intend to use to pay part of tuition(CAD 15,000). I want to know if I can use SOA of my binary option investment, showing breakdown of investment from February,2017 till next year March as my source of lump sum which will be used for tuition. God bless everyone on this forum. 2018 shall be a year of great testimonies.

Just jejely say "YES" since you weren't approved at that time. It won't reduce your chances in any form cos they have their facts on record.

Hello guys,

I am sure I have appeared at the American embassy before but I can't remember the specific year because it's over 10 years (2002 - 2004). I can't remember if I did UK visa too at the time of submitting documents to ups and visa collection at ups. That should be between 2004 - 2005. now my question is this, I want to apply for student visa in Canada, what should my response to have you ever been denied a visa before be when filling the form.
thanks for your help guys
