Politics › Re: As Nigerians, Can We Ever Witness Stable Electricity In Our Life Time? by Jideola3(m): 5:54pm On Jan 10, 2020 |
gabicon: Our electricity challenge is a structural challenge not an infrastructural one, we have treated it for long as an infrastructure challenge when in reality it has always been a structural problem, that is why no matter the amount of money spent the challenge hasn't been fixed.
We can't generate electricity in akwa ibom and send it to Kano, that doesn't make any sense, the points of failure are too much, that's why the infrastructure keeps on collapsing. Secondly electricity is the second card used by the political class to control the poor, the first being fuel subsidy.
The solution is simply decentralised the power industry, every state should generate and distribute its own electricity, or better still let it be done geopolitically. States that feel that their citizens are too poor can subsidize electricity for their people. Nobody will tell any politician to give his people electricity, if he doesn't he looses control, and the people will come after him. Nice one gabicon Hope you can read his approach? Don't just talk about the problems or challenges. After identifying the issues, let us profer solutions and share ideas. No be to just dey fight ourselves or trade insults. Thank You |

Hallo Leute,
I read some pages back that after interview and funding, the visa processing time is dependent on the state. Can someone shed more light on this? Which states are the fastest and slowest? |

Blonde77: Hi all, I just have to drop this one here. for those considering notarizing your documents in Lagos. here is a bit of what you will come across.. I encounter this today 1. Yaba high court : notarizing is 500 NAIRA per page 2. Igbosere high court : 1500 but you will have to price it to 500 NAIRA. Do not fall for those guys outside ,make sure you see the lawyer yourself.. I was able to do mine today at 200 NAIRA per page at Igbosere because I called lawyer that I know and she guide me... then another thing is sending through Nipost I send to Germany through nipost today. 100g at 2200 NAIRA. Nipost has increase the price from 700 to 2200 starting April first 2018..
God will guide us all to Deutschland zusammen wir sind Starke. I also did mine at Ikeja high court 200 naira. Make sure you negotiate well. I think its possible to get a better deal depending on your ability to negotiate. Those guys at the entrance are not your friends. If you must use them, be guided. Honorableseyi I am still waiting for your response bro. |

Frankrobbn1: Jideola3,
To the bold.... When being asked to submit your passport for online route applicants, it's simply an APPROVAL. Congratulations!!! You need to send your passport via courier to them or submit it in person to any of the VAC (Visa application Centre). You will have your passport returned back to you attached with a study permit counter foil within 7 working days.
Congrats once again! Thanks for the clarification. God bless |

Immafrank: If you have all your documents ready. you can still meet the deadline if you use DHL which takes 3 working days that is if the school deadline is January 15. if everything you will be doing including certification and IELTS collection will pass next week Tuesday. don't bother sending. my advice is that you shud apply for winter semester which most schools will open around April or may. Thank you. |

Hallo leute,
I found out about this thread about a month ago, I've been following the thread ever since. I must commend you guys. Gut gemacht!
I intend to pursue an English-taught MSC in Deutschland this year. I'd like to ask if its not late to apply for the summer semester especially through uniassit or I should focus on winter. I just got my undergraduate transcript and should have my ielts result this week, by friday. I can only certify and send documents next week, the application deadline is Jan 15. I am bothered about admission processing time and visa application.
I am trying to improve my grasp of the german language as advised by the gurus. I presently use memrise, Duolingo, YouTube videos and other resources, I can't go to the Goethe or other language institutions because of commitments at this time. My second question, is it possible to pass the A1 exam by studying on your own or one must enrol at a language school. Knowledgeable people should please enlighten me about the exams. I've checked their Goethe website I can't make sense of it.
Kindly advice.
Danke schön |

Good evening guys! Ive been following the posts on this thread for a while now. I am really impressed by the desire shown to help one another. I am still learning the ropes. I would come up with my questions as soon as I start my application In the interim, someone should please enlighten me. I do not know if the requirements for trv have changed. A friend's agent said it is necessary for him to have a one-way ticket and accommodation booked for his visa processing. Please how true is this. Maybe the agent is not processing a student visa or he's fake. |
