You don't need affidavit of support because it is not part of requirment for nigerians.

Yes, it is normal. Cos it part of the requirement. I guess u were given a big envelope. But @ qlife. They give CDROM for their xray.

My broda, qatar airline is not interswitch or wateva their use over there that will verify the account or payment. If her account has not being debited, she can still re-book the ticket. @MMIA, they don't verify ticket payment bought online. The only thing if ur name is in the system then u are go to go. So ask her if her account has being debited and once she book the ticket again. All she need to do is either she send d copy to ur mail or she sends u the booking reference as called PNR number.

I know a host that his guest refused to find work, he got a Mall work, guest said it was demeaning and did not cook even when groceries were there. At least, guest's wife and son left for Nigerian and he finally left as well. When he was leaving the host gave him something for his family and family (she is studying in Nigeria), gave him his brother's cell and his wife's but told him to only call his wife if his brother's cell did not go. Guest came in, called the brother, delivered the goods and call his wife onto what??

Just as Australians do when they land, get into a hotel for two days and use those to get an apartment. The problem is we emigrate with virtually nothing and expect host to cater for all ur concerns. Hosts are humans and their orientation has changed.

Staying with a host.. Is not like we intend to stay there for life.. It just for a cope of period till on get his or her feet. One needs to endure.

You shld advice people to be patient and endure with their host. Saying they shld rent a room in hotel is not a welcome idea or u tell them to locate a church or a mosque. That can render help. Most church is willing to help. 40dollars to rent a room in hotel times d number of days before the arrive of GC and SSN. Then start work and u have not talk about feeding. Broda no be small tin.

Stories am hearing about hosts are cause for concern for me and i must say here that no matter how bad things maybe,God will see you tru. US isnt as bad as most host painted it esp if you are hard working,you will make it.It saddens me when some host treat their guest badly.I have heard many stories here on how host treat their guest and if feel i should share some with you.
My distant cousin came into US tru lottery 10years back,he arrived at a very gud friends place(old school pals) in east coast.with all high hopes that things would go well,he was given just 1 one week to leave the house(his pals house)after arrival.He tot it was a joke until wen one week expired and his found his things outside.GC and SSN hadnt arrived,no where to go,no one to call.He left in the cold for days before my dad heard about it and contacted my uncle in TX.My uncle had to fly him to Texas and accommondated him,imagine if there was no one to helpout.
A muslim couple came into US some few years back only to call their host on arrival but the host neva picked their calls till date.The wife was heavily pregnant,no where to go,no one to call.It was a gud Nigerian that refered them to a church.The church accomondated them and today,they are doing fine.Why did he give them his number and promised them heaven and earth?

I know some nairalanders in US too must had some bad experiences too but i pray God see you all tru.

Why must we treat our fellow human so badly?If you cant help,why make promises?If you cant afford to accommondate someone why ask him or her to come to your place? I know it may not be easy to put someone in your house but i dont think it cost much financially,so why the maltreatment?

I called my host to help me pay d 165dollars for the green card. You know what he said. He said Jide I will I get my money back. I was so surprised. After I have done lot for his family and we have being closed family friend over 16yrs Well I told him I will transfer it to him. He is a Qualifed nurse and d 165dollar is a small money for him. Then I began to figure out our life is going to be wit him with d cope of period I am gonna stay wit him. My broda after he made that statement within me I know I am set for greater height.

My advice to everyone that has got his or her visa or about travelling soon is please and please, nothing like is my family or family friend. Pls prepare well financially and other wise. God will help us out IJN

My broda ignore that tracking. Your visa could have being ready. Go there after 1week of ur interveiw or add some days to be on safe side.

ferdimako: Call them first and tell them u have ur debit card although they have option of account to account payment.You will scan and attach both pages to info@wakanow.com because they want to know your passport's expiry date and the type of visa you've.No BTA for DV but one other girl was arguing with me.Pls make sure you know the name of the operator you first spoke with and stick with her.Load like N1,000 credit on your phone because they put you on hold each time!So frustrating but worth it.No regret!

The confirmation page is the booking invoice generated after a successful payment with your debit card and it has the amount paid among other info but the ticket does not contain that amount.I used a Mastercard from Enterprise bank Limited.

Send the booking invoice (copy and paste on Ms word or pdf it and attach) to that same e-mail addy and call them and in no time you ticket will be in your inbox. You will cut off some greedy agents and gain some cash. I tell u!

Hi, if u reside in lagos why are u booking in wakanow. Even if not lagos. D agent fee on the ticket u will get from them is diferent from the normal ticket you get through the airline counter. D diff is like btw 13k to 20k. Why not go to international airport at 3pm were most airline office will be open. My broda. We really have to be wise in spending and u no we still gat lot to do with money. That my take on d issue on ticket.

Remmy488: U can't actually knw ur medical fees until after a cross-examination on those things like blood, urine and xray whch will b carried out on u. So far, if ur medical history is ok, u can't spend up to 30k most pple dt had their medical @ ikoyi paid about #28.500 myself inclusive. So I will advice u go there and see things

Yea... U are right. Cost on medical depends on xray,if xray not ok.. Then d patient will have to go for sputum test which is 50k for 8weeks, if one has chicken pulse before YES or NO

Hello house, i just called to enquire for the price list of the medicals at both hospital and this was their response
Children practice at Raymond njoku= 12000 for the test and 20,000 - 25,000 for vaccines

Q-life family clinic at V.I = 31,000 for test and vaccines

What's surprised me is that people have been saying the children practice is the cheapest and now they are billing 32k- 37k and i had plans for abt 28k.

I did my medical for 22k @ qlife(test 13k and vaccine 9k.)
