Still A Christian, When Was The Last Time You Did Any Of These?


Some will say, it's not 'works' but 'grace'. The same Grace Jesus had yet He worked all day and night for His Father.

If you call yourself a "Christian" and haven't done some or all of these, 3 things are involved;

- You are backslidden.

- Your church doesn't really teach stuff like these or...

- You have chosen to ignore the demands/promptings of the Holy Spirit.

If you are (or really, badly want to be) a true disciple of Jesus, these seven things should not be far-fetched from your habits:


1. Evangelizing

I laugh when I hear people, 'My money can be used to preach the gospel, as for me, No Time!" Yes, you can't preach globally, what about those sinners around you? Your siblings? Friends? Neighbours? This is the GREAT COMMISION for ALL! You drink or sleep with them but can't preach to them.


2. Praying for those who don't want you to succeed.


In a world of ours, 'anyone against my progress, DIE BY FIRE', is now the norm. Is this only what Jesus taught us? There is more to prayer than "FALL down and DIE!!!" Prayer for others is a mystery that reminds God of our own needs.


3. Loving Our "Haters"

I still remember that doing so "will HEAP COAL OF FIRE on their heads" as the Bible puts it. When was the last time you showed mercy to the merciless? Do you testify in church just because your prayers in rendering an innocent man a widower was answered? What of apologizing even when you're palpably right.


4. Really read your Bible

It's true, "social media sites are gradually stealing away God's people". I have been guilty sometimes too. If only you can spend half the time you spend on Facebook, BBM and whatsapp! This BOOK will keep you from sin and sin will keep you from this BOOK - Immortal John Bunyan. Each time I've fallen, I wasn't reading my Bible.


5. Gave God an ample sum of money and didn't announce it.

You'll see people give with one hand and broadcast with the other. Little wonder, the seed fails to reproduce maximally.


6. Humble yourself enough to sit wherever the usher asks you to.

The usher sef, her shoe and appearance aren't as commanding as yours and she wants to command you to sit in the front row. I even kneemw when she started this church and gave her life to Christ. Hmm


7. Pray till you had an heavenly experience


I have come to understand as a Christian, 'you are as weak or strong as your prayer life". Of course, I'm not talking about, "Gimmie gimmie kinda prayer". A prayer of Consecration or Dedication always and have proven to be more powerful than the rest.

Mid-week services and Cell fellowship are OUT of some folk's programme. They may be leaders in church yet so busy to do the First works- First Love.

When was the last time you spent quality time with your Father? Not in church but alone. This is a question for all of us.

Its been sixteen months now that my dad had been in detaintion for what he knew nothing about. He work has the commander in IMO STATE RESCUE MISSION and he is the one in charge of Ngor-Okpala and Aboh mbeise LGA for six years before this ugly incident happen on 18 december 2014 which i had to create this thread then.

Some one wrote a partition against him that he (my dad) personally killed someone with a stick and push him out of a moving car in broad day light and till now NO WITNESS has appear in court for this accusation.

The victim was found dead along Aba - Owerri road which was believe to be a hit-and-run sitation because it happens in front of a major filling station which was also covered when the police came for investigation.

Within two days of the partition, some police men from zone 9 Umuahia arrested him on 18th of december 2014 and till now he hasn't be granted bail or release.

We have to pay for fuel anytime the police wants to come for investigation for six months which is up to 20 thousand naira per trip and we also paid 150 thousand naira for autosy to be conducted on the dead victim ( who as been buried when my dad is still on detaintion early last year) and up till now the autosy report is no where to be found.

The police has to delay the case for six months before my dad was charge to court on june last year and we are still fighting the court case couple with the strike in imo state judiciary.

My dad work as a security vigilantee for six years (during Ikedi Ohakim "NEW FACE OF IMO VIGILANTE) later change to (IMO RESCUE NETWORK by the Gov Rochas) and i believe he has stepped on toes because his work involve arresting of kidnapper, oil bunkery , drug smugglers etc who always make use of the boundary between Ngor-okpala and rivers state. Ever since he has been working for the past six years, we have been sleeping with one eye open. Call threat, message and other means has been use to bring him down but God keep saving him till this accusation was lay against him and some people had to sponsor it just to take him out.

The IMO STATE SECURITY NETWORK and the SSA to the governor on security who is my dad boss has keep mute on the matter, no single help has been render to fasting the investigation or the release of their commander who was accuse in his line of work and for sixteen months now he hasn't been visited or question but was left to his fate when he is working for the IMO STATE GOVERNMENT.

The next court case is on 27th of march (THIS MONTH) and to be frank we have run out of idea and fund. This case has dry up the family and we have no place to go for help which is why i have to create this thread for the second time to seek for any help on how to work this out.

The name of my dad is CHIEF RICHARD EKENMA. Commander-in-charge of Ngor-okpala and Aboh Mbeise LGA in IMO STATE under IMO STATE RESCUE NETWORK. PLEASE I NEED SOMEONE HELP.

When you unintentionally cause the death of someone my accident or mistake... usually used for drivers and doctors. The maximum punishment is life sentence.

She is even lucky to get 5years, she is supposed to get 21years if the judge doesn't want to give her life. They were still lenient

noooooo hell no derz a difference btw a manslaughter and dz issue at hand manslaughter means Manslaughter The unjustifiable, inexcusable, and intentional killing of a human being without deliberation, premeditation, and malice.... the word intention differentiate it from death caused by reckless driving , so she cant be charged wit manslaughter.

Well...five years is the maximum for a case of this nature under the law.(Ms Fiberesima was found guilty of manslaughter....not murder).

You should be writing to your lawmakers.

I wanted to say dat... d deceased family 've nothing to do with d case it's btw d state nd her secondly all dZ plea cannot work because d law must take its course thirdly her lawyer may plead allocutus to mitigate her punishment.

Atiku Abubakar, a nephew of President
Muhammadu Buhari and many others relatives of
top officials.
The leaked document shows a list of at least 91
people tied to powerful or highly placed Nigerians,
who were recently proposed appointments.
Sahara Reporters says that the CBN’s job
generosity comprise a daughter of former Atiku, a
son of Mamman Daura, a nephew of Buhari and
one of the closest members of the president’s
‘kitchen cabinet’, a son of the Ibe Kachikwu, oil
minister, a daughter of ex-speaker of the house of
representatives, Ghali Na’aba, also daughter of the
Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, a since
of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Abdurahman
Danbazzau and at least 86 others.
The leaking of this document has reportedly caused
important embarrassment for the administration
and the bank. The director of human resources,
Chizoba Mojekwu, was reportedly redeployed as the
bank’s director of capacity development and IT
after CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, blamed her
for being behind the leaking of the list.
Meanwhile, a bank insider said that Emefiele had
decided the hiring of relatives of top leaders of the
ruling party and powerful government officials as a
strategy for saving his job.
It was learnt that the CBN governor had begun the
practice of using job proposals to promote top
government officials since Buhari was sworn in on
May 29, 2015.
Another source disclosed that in September last
year Emefiele had hired Claire Arase, a daughter of
Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Solomon
Arase.
Meanwhile, the CBN is trying to hide the names of

A lawyer simply identified as Chidi, has reportedly
slumped and died while defending some alleged
‘meat’ thieves at the Magistrates’ Court, Igbosere,
Lagos on Tuesday, March.
The Nation reports that the tragic occurrence
happened after the deceased who was scheduled
to appear as defence counsel for alleged meat
thieves; Okedairo Okedeji, 38, and Akolade Agbola,
28, who pilfered the item worth N28,000 from
Southern Sun Hotel in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The men had been granted bail after being
arraigned on February 29 and meeting the
conditions set by Magistrate F M Dalley.
Chidi who was supposed to represent the accused
in court on Tuesday, alongside the defendants got
into the court after the case had been adjourned
till April 14.
After apologising for their lateness, which he
reportedly said was due to the heavy traffic in the
state, Chidi also tried to plead with the Magistrate
for a change in the adjourned date, when he started
coughing and began to gasp for breath.
Reports say he started clutching his chest when
the coughing would not stop, and started panting
“Obim!” “Obim!”, meaning “My chest!” “My chest!”
in Igbo language.
The people sitting close to him were said to have
quickly tried to help him loosen his tie and also
also took him outside the courtroom to get fresh
air as he pleaded that the people should help him
get a cab to take him home quickly.
The lawyer appeared to have lost consciousness as
he was rushed downstairs, and was carried on the
back by one of the clients but by the time the cab
arrived, Chidi had stopped breathing.
The Nation reports that the corpse was later
deposited at the Lagos Island General Hospital
morgue.
