Acidiously:
Guy go and sit down. You haven't faced federal might and intimidation because long have your leaders and natives been in relationship with the north. If you've had Sunday igboho as at the time Nnamdi Kanu was creating awareness, then the army would have been all over you people looking for him and his followers. Nnamdi Kanu had set the precedent already on how to tackle the FG but was met with brutal force and everyone has learnt from it. So the Yoruba people ought not to follow that same vein else everything and everyone will collapse. Let me tell you something, if the relationship between the fulani FG and Southwest turns sour like the one they have with Igbos, that'll be the end. That's why the call for calm and dialogue is springing up all over the place.
the army actually went to arrest him but he never engaged them but diplomatically bought his way out, something ipob cannot do, their blood boils too hot they are very impetuous, they should learn not to act on impulse

Dpharisee:
Suddenly I am not seeing Yoruba youths here calling Nnamdi Kanu a pig because they are seeing that he is ahead of them in terms of vision and native intelligence
but nnamdi kanu isnt intelligent. There are things that he should have put in place but his impetuousness took over him. The southwest are tactical in presentation and actualization of their agitation.

You really need to think objectively, instead of just reading any nonsense the media wants you to read

This same truck you see in Lagos, has another going to Abeokuta, Onitsha, Oyo, Calabar and so on and forth. How many "due diligence" do you want to carry out?

For your information, that is not the first truck in the North to enter this week. Hundreds have come into Lagos just in this week

Stop spreading hate or spreading rumours.

The same North you are suspiciously accusing of trying to attack the South, is the most unsafe region in the country.

If you say they are trying to attack the South, who then is attacking the North?

Some few irresponsible elements are causing havoc here and there, jamming our heads together, and as usual, you all have started playing into their hands... turning this to an ethnic battle

I'll still say it again, if the Northerners wanted to attack Lagos, it would take just one day for sorrow to flow over the land
it's not hate or rumour. I wish you can just take an excursion to the court and you see 40 percent of them being tried for armed robbery or entery and breaking you will understand

The undue hatred is uncalled for. Social media regulation is now a must
its not undue hatred. Majority of this people are robbers and kidnappers only few of them are innocent. They should stay in their state until the security in the country step up their game. We are only trying to curb civil unrest.

Those guys are just Hustlers. They buy livestock as far as Niger republic and come to Lagos to sell it. Those guys have been on sleeping on those trucks for about two days.

Stop stereotyping a tribe because of a few bad people.

If the Northerners wanted to attack Lagos, only one day is enough to detonate bombs. From Idi araba, to Mile 12, Ojo Alaba, Iju, Agege, Berger and others, they have a large settlement there. But yet, we have enough peace here.

You guys should stop spreading hate everywhere.

xProfx:
Lagos state needs to emulate this... with all the repeated cases of flooding in Lagos, one would think they would come up with significant (specific) projects to tackle the incessant flooding.

While littering may be an issue, it is not the sole cause of flooding in Lagos. There are NO flood drains, adequately constructed canals and proper drainages, and in a state where everyone sinks borehole (due to the Lagos water corporation's failure to provide drinkable water) and abandons surface water for daily consumption, the surface water level is bound to get higher.

I hope Sanwo-Olu commits to environmental management more cos if they allow things get out of hand, Lagos would keep getting worse.

it is very important, most people make that mistake thinking survey will protect them but alas its too late as they have already paid but charting is just btw 10 - 50k just to check whether the land falls within or weda the land is under govt acquisition and it will indicate if its ratifiable or under regularisation

Hi Guys

Lets Get Started

We noticed a lot of people have always been duped while buying properties in Lagos. we would outline safety tips to take when buying a property in Lagos. A lot of ads have been going around in Lagos, concerning buying cheap properties all around Lagos especially in Places like Ibeju, etc
When buying landed properties in Nigeria (especially in Lagos), make sure you put all these tips into consideration and do thorough research.
I want to thank Omo Onile Lawyer and Grandezza for some of the tips it came in handy.

This tips would help those that live abroad especially.

It doesn’t matter if you are buying the land from a friend or a close relative whom you trust. Buying land in Nigeria is a financial transaction and should be treated as such. Don’t make yourself an easy target for a scam.

Let's get started

Make sure the land or property you are buying has proper documentation: It must have a valid C of O or other documents. ask for the title document of the property e.g. proof of ownership. Most developers don’t own the piece of land they constructed the property on. They usually do joint venture agreements with the true holders of the land.
you should ask for the following documents:
The Certificate of Occupancy (C of O)
The Survey Plan
The Tax Clearance Certificate
The Deed of Assignment
In most case, the document the original owner of the land has, contains a lot of deficiencies such as survey plan issues, wrong location of where the property is supposed to be on the layout, fake governor’s consent or C of O or deeds of assignment that were not properly executed by the family or outright fake documents to deceive the buyer

Investigate the property location by getting a competent lawyer: Before you buy a property make sure that the location is not facing a lawsuit, get a competent lawyer to help you check these issues. Don't buy a land that is facing a lawsuit already this could be by family issues or fraudulent transactions. Most people think because the area is developed there would be no more issues only for them to discover 2 major communal families have been fighting for decades concerning the ownership of the whole town.

Don't buy Properties from Omo-Onile, Buy from Professionals: Buy properties from competent real estate firms with established track records. Don't be thinking you are wise by buying lands from omo-onile and end up being duped and looking stupid. Some of these Omo-Onile can send land to more than 20 people. A lawyer, Surveyor, Architect, and a Real Estate Consultant, are the 4 most important people you must get in touch with before you buy a land. The lawyer is the only one that can draw up your contract papers legally. Any other landed document drawn up by any other person is null and void and you would not be allowed to process your papers at the Land registry.

Take Note of Fees: Before you buy that house, do your surveys to know the ancillary cost of buying a property that must be paid so you don't run into debts before you take possession. Agency fees are 5% of the cost of the property (negotiable), Legal fees to prepare all documents is 5% of the cost of the property (negotiable), Survey plan for a house is above N200,000. If it’s a semi-detached duplex each survey could cost N350,000. If you buy it in a Government scheme, only a government surveyor can draw a survey plan to divide the property properly. It’s called a subdivision and costs N750,000.

Visit the site in person: A growing number of people have been swindled just because they were too busy to carry out a thorough inspection of the land before making payment. For those living abroad make sure you send a relative or a friend, you can trust before you buy that property.

Written down transaction details, pictures of parties involved, and even video recordings can go a long way if something later goes wrong.

Take Possession of Your Land Immediately: Don't wait, if it's to fence round about it do it immediately and put a sign to scare of fraudsters and people that might try to be scammed too. Don’t just leave it fallow and expect it to wait there for you when you are ready. Somebody else would end up encroaching on your land and steal it.

I hope this helps

the first thing that you must ever do is charting the land and picking cordinates before spending unnecessary money.

RomanceRe: My Boyfriend Stopped Calling And Picking My Calls by jidxin(m): 10:14pm On Jan 12, 2021
Habby222:
Advice needed pls.

I've been with this guy for close to four years now and its not really been a perfect relationship. Lots of ups and downs due to what I can term insecurity. At some point we're cool and the next minute issues arises just like every other relationship.

He's a good guy to some extent as he showers me with love ( my thoughts)and a lot of times he gives gifts not money though. I've had to give financial assistance to him alot of times, he returns some if he deemed it necessary and doesn't return if he so wishes. I've never complained about this and still always willing to help him out whenever he is in need. Pls note that we're both financially ok.

This gesture of me offering him financial help stopped when I realise he doesn't do same to me. I've had to test him on serval occasions that I needed financial help and he has never for once helped out on those request despite knowing he has. I never needed the money though, I made those request to know if I could actually fall back to him if I'm in need.

Last year October, I told him about my plans of getting a new car as I got tired of the one I was using. Pls note that I did not request him to buy for me neither did I ask for any support whatsoever. I contacted my source in the US with my budget and spec, was able to find one in a short time and I paid for it. All of this moves were known to him. By December, the car arrived and cleared accordingly with every expenses incurred payed by me. He gave some moral support though.

A week after getting the car, he called me one morning and started apologising for not supporting financially in getting the car which I told him I had no issues with that. I told him I wasn't expecting more than moral support from him since I could afford getting the car on my own. I also made him realise he doesn't owe me no apology as I wasn't t his responsibility since we weren't married and that even if we were married, ill always want to get my stuffs myself as long as I can afford it. The next I heard was him ranting on phone that he doesn't expect less from me, said I'm a proud and that he knew I wasn't going to be a good wife. He said he has always known I wasn't going to be a submissive wife and a whole lot of other derogatory words despite not having issues whatsoever prior to that time. I ended the call as I was so surprised he could say those mean words to me.

All through that day he didn't call back and I did not as well cos I was expecting him to realise I was hurt by his actions. A week pass and still no call from him so I decided to call him and he didn't pick. I'd sent a lot of of messages to him and has not replied to any. I'd gone to his house to check up on him and not met him too. Its been three weeks now and we haven't spoken and seen despite all of my effort to talk to him and or see.

Guys please I'm confused and do not know how to handle the issue. Pls advice.
i dont mind dating you sha....
