24-year-old Malama Hawwa’u Jamilu, is excited with her newborn twins. She has been engaged in fervent prayers, and she was safely delivered of twins on Sunday, 25th February, 2018. However, the joy that greeted the birth was shortened, DailyTrust reports.

The local nurses that delivered the twins noticed that one of them was born with four hands and three legs. Like wildfire, the news spread into the community and people began to troop to Kabiru Kafinta’s house, where Hawwa’u and family are residing, to see things for themselves.

Strangely, Hawwa’u was not perturbed about the physique of her baby.

She told DailyTrust that she regarded it as part of the might of Allah. “Both of them are female. Of course, one would have loved to deliver the babies without any deformity. But since Allah in His infinite mercy had decided to create the twins like this, what can I do? This is why you see me relaxed, and I love them both.”

The only peculiar behaviour exhibited by the deformed twin, is a big appetite. “Apart from that,” Hawwa’u said, “she is normal like any other baby. Have you forgotten that I carried her in my womb for nine months? I love my daughter and I know that she is human, despite her physical challenge


Hawwa’u said she has given birth three times before now, making the twins her fourth delivery during her six years of marriage.

Similarly, Hawwa’u said she doesn’t attend ante-natal sessions, saying that she delivered her other children at home, same as the twins. “I think the problem is not failure to visit the hospital, because the twins are not my first.

"As I said earlier, it is just the will of Allah. I gave birth three times, and I have not experienced anything like this. This is the will of Allah and there is nothing one can do about it,” she said.

It was learnt that when the deformity was discovered, the babies were taken to hospital for examination. It was learnt that the case cannot be handled by a local hospital, but by a tertiary one.

A doctor at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Dr. Umar Abdul’aziz, said the extra leg and hands can be removed and the little girl can have a normal life.

He added: “There is nothing to worry about. It is a case that can be handled by experts after certain investigations.

"It is however advisable for all pregnant women to be attending ante-natal for their health and that of their unborn babies.

"Many things can be detected during ante-natal that would assist in safe delivery and correction of abnormalities. It is not proper at this period of the world’s development for somebody to decide to ignore ante-natal and be giving birth at home.”

As Hawwa’u continues to nurse her twins, she is optimistic that the baby will grow up to be “a special person in life.”

You are speaking from a religious view and I understand. I'm talking from a realistic one , relationships especially marriage aren't easy these days, not everything is as simple as it used to be . But the success depends on both parties keeping their end of the bargain.

That is why extra precaution needs to be taken so that we wouldn't fall into such circumstances. Being realistic is being careful at d material time

Even at this point I will still commend the great effort of management and staff members of University of Ilorin for their wisdom atleast to making this part of the country a better place. To be more specific I salute the noble effort of every lecturers of Statistics department for the sacrifice each of them pays to adequately dish out the aspect of knowledge that our great continent needs to be the giant. If not for Prof B. L Adeleke(08071878926, 08033539911) alone, Statistics Department of University of Ilorin Would still be the most efficient department that is meant to give major glory to the better-by-far university. But since he took over as the Head of the Department the Professor has turned the glory not only to nut but to shame.

Before now, Principals of institution would recommended their staff for postgraduate studies in the department, but now the reverse is the case. Recently, 2 postgraduate students had it tough at their working place as their they finished their programme without them failing. 2 years after the students' study period, they can not provide any evidence of study completion (no certificate, no progress report from the school) because the the HOD Prof B. L Adeleke (08071878926, 08033539911) will not sign and will not give a progress report as the HOD. They have been suspended from work until they produce evidence of completion of their programme or admit they failed.

1) Since he has resume office as the HOD, He Phd study of department of Statistics of University of Ilorin have been on foot-dragging mode. for instance Phd students do not finish in good record time again because of "hold on" placed by the HOD Prof B. L Adeleke (08071878926, 08033539911) that deterred them to proceed on their next stage of research as it needs his consent to get necessary aprover from PG School. Even those that have had their external examination the files are still laying dormant on his desk HOD Prof B. L. Adeleke (08071878926, 08033539911).

2) PGD in Statistics that the authority of University of Ilorin scheduled to be a minimum of just a session, the HOD Prof B. L. Adeleke (08071878926, 08033539911) has singularly turned it to two years. I mean without students have any failure issues. He has called us (2016/2017 set) back to come and face external examination (a thing that has not happened in the history of the department) even if we have to appear for external examination that could have being done within a year. Up till now he has not given us the date for the external examination.

3) Msc programme that the University of Ilorin tag to be minimum of 18 month, HOD Prof B. L. Adeleke (08071878926, 08033539911) has turn it to 3 year programme. The (2015/2016 set) are still around waiting for him to call them for external examination since 2017 that they had their seminar presented. He told them they should go and pay for the third section, a delay they never cause. If you call him to ask he would say they had carry-over whis is a is not true.

University of Ilorin authority should call this HOD, Prof B. L. Adeleke (08071878926, 08033539911) to order, every meaningful Nigerian should call HOD, Prof B. L. Adeleke (08071878926, 08033539911) to ask and beg him to let us go as at when due. the economy is had than holding someone down at a point. University of Ilorin is not our working place. If you called him or meet him he will give TERRIBLE excuses.

The wast is that HOD, Prof B. L. Adeleke (08071878926, 08033539911) would invite students for external examination and will not let it hold. HOD, Prof B. L. Adeleke (08071878926, 08033539911) will dehumanize PG students with his mouth and ask you to drop your phone number that he will schedule it for another time while many has travel miles from different part of the country for the examination. HOD, Prof B. L. Adeleke (08071878926, 08033539911) will not call you again even when you come to remind him he would send you to another lecturer that do dot know how and when the case started.

Please call his number for humanity sake to confirm all this I put here and don't be offended if he harass you on phone.

I know him he was suspended in 2014 for failing 90% of d class
