grin Kai 95% ai madam wanan is exaggeration. Be realistic the Islamazation is not yet complete. The Muslim Yoruba could probably make up 70% of the total population.
CultureRe: My Problem With The Yoruba Muslims by JikanBaura(m): 10:03pm On Apr 02, 2018
Who is an Emir?
According to wikipedia, an emir is a world used to describe a leader in an Islamic Empire.

Who is an Oba?
An Oba is a ruler in a yoruba Kingdom, a flag bearer and preserver of the yoruba culture.

Judging by the above definition of emir and that of Oba we can say a muslim Yoruba king can answer the title emir and Oba at thesame time. when the king adress himself as an emir he is stating Islam he represents him first before every other thing.

Your statement that a Kano emir will not calls himself oba is correct. It's makes no sense for an emir from Kano to adopt the name oba. grin why would Sarkin Kano adopt oba titleship tongue is he a Yoruba huh or does Oba means an Islamic King huh

Emirs/Kings from ADAMAWA AND Gombe are adress as Lamido which means (Fulani King, in Fulani language) and another Emir of Kano whom is Fulani by ethnicity cannot be addressed as lamido but only as Sarki (Hausa King).....why would Kano king adopt oba ( A yoruba kingship title) when he can't even adopt lamido title ( his mother tongue Rulership title)

Be specific of why you are irritated by the action of an Oba undecided preferring to be called emir (Ruler of Muslims, Representer of islam) . I also think the new emir is trying to complete the Islamazation of his kingdom that his great grand parents started grin and that what you should be mad about, Because know you yoruba Christians are making it seems like ethnic matter.

(1)Emir is not a Hausa or Fulani word, heck we don't even don't even called kings emirs rather we call them sarki or lamido.

(2) Islam the religion which you Christians yoruba hate with passion, Hausa/Fulani don't introduce it to you people. Your people find it yourself and you yoruba enforce Islam on your own people. smiley

You people are frustrated because the new emir praises Northern Emirs and wears northern traditional clothes, That the only thing he adopted of hausa grin and is something less to be worried about. You should worry about more yoruba Christians and tradional worshippers are becoming Muslims (through the influence of yoruba muslim claric and yoruba muslim kings)

Please You christians should stop making unnecessary fuss and involving we Hausa/Fulani/Kanuri in your own problems cheesy

grin the king is still an Oba and is an emir aswell smiley he can be both so please let him be.

cry FFK is just Frustrated he-goat, insolent bastards like FFK should be dealt with for insulting an emir.

If this FFk is from the north it's people that will kill him, burnt his house and probably the emir will be the one to save.

It's safer for him to called a sitting governor a bastard than to use such word against a king. undecided

Fulfulde is very interesting . (If you have the interest)

Do you like this?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ffm2932fftk

In case you keep wondering, Ngaoundere is the capital and largest city of the Adamaoua province of Cameroon.
Traditionally, it is supposed to be territory belonging to Aliyu Musdafa in Yola.
Wow beautiful songs , Fulfulde is really beautiful language, I have grown up around Fulfulde speakers but unfortunately i haven't listened lots fulani songs maybe 2, mostly because their aren't many Fulfulde singers from the northwest even when they do sang in Fulfulde they often only add words or some phrases. Anyway i observe tho the languages are different they style and pattern in which these musicians sang are very similar to how we sing hausa and fulanu music here in arewa.

Knows about the Adamawa region of Cameroon, also heard about garou, marou and some hausa quarters which i can't recall exactly their names. How is fulani relationship with hausa in Cameroon, watch adam zango a hausa musician performance at Festi Housa Cameroon on his instagram page and later search them facebook and find they have a page Called Festi haoussa, they had great celebration and i could easily pick many Fulanis aswell but it's titled first Cameroonian Festi Hausa 2017 so i wonder why for all years hausa have never called for Hausa festival until 2017. undecided and it's was organized by one Ali Bashir whom claimed he himself is Hausa-Fulani huh

I found this song lyrics very rear, Hausa songs that are compelately dedicated Hausa race, civilization are extremely rear to find, For this is the only hausa song i know that sang about Hausa people , Our civilization, The Hausaland culture and tradition , Native professions, cultural games in Hausaland and that's we will never ever gonna dump them

, Made mention and praises hausaland leaders of both native Hausa and none native hausa and how we will never forget them for the great contribution they made.

He also Praises and applaud Hausaland most influential islamic leader of all time .... a Fulani man ( Usman Dan Fodio cheesy and how his jahad success was joyful to all.

The singer also talk about how well known hausa were in ancient Africa for their thousands years great civilization, How blossom hausaland economy was , Hausaland litracy, Educational system, how we are west Africa's greatnest merchants, have crossed West, East
North Africa and Middle East for trade and pilgrimage,
Made mention of how we were never known by any people to rum nake because we knot our own clothes.

Do anyone here knows the original singer of this song, because this singer from Kano is diffinately not the originator of the song lyrics (maybe some part of it) because as kids we used to sang Chorus part this song in school, ask my step mom (she's in her 50s) if she knows the originator of the song but said she knows the song from childhood but can't say who first sang it.

From what i know sharon Fulani has more to do with bravy not marriage, sharo can be carried out not just in the advent of marriage and it's only done when the girl got many men suitors, then sharo flogging is arranged by the bride family as competition when their daughter have many suitors ,for them to determine who is the most brave much endurant , who ever won the competition is decided as her feature husband and that's even if she don't love him. Sometimes the women persuade the man they love to participate , their also cases where thier lovers quit even before the competition. grin some parents have their daughter married to her lover even if their many suitors and

@ Sasalite, am happy to know that there's someone like you (Hausa Christian) on this forum cos this JikanBaura fellow and some of his kind have argued with me on another thread and vehemently denied the existence of Hausa Christians. Please don't waste your time and energy on him. I am from Southern Kaduna and have a Hausa christian friend and another as in-law(married my aunt). So I know a lot about the persecution, discrimination and even apartheid treatment meted out by the Hausa muslims against Hausa Christians. I I've known for a very long time that some Hausa muslims like JikanƁaura find it difficult to accommodate the fact that a fellow Hausa identify with Christianity rather than Islam. Hence they always deny the existence of Hausa Christians.
Who is a bahaushe? A bahaushe is person who ethnicity is hausa, even if you live all your life in Hausaland and speaks only hausa language, wore hausa cloths all your life, Eat hausa food, retain hausa name. You can only be Hausa when your both of your parents are Hausa.

You are from southern Kaduna and have hausa cristian friend. Why Kaduna? All hausa from Kaduna knows where their original home is, where their parents /grandparents comes from. Saw many southerners on facebook claiming to have cristian hausa friends from southern kaduna. All i reminded them is Kaduna is not a Hausa states heck not everybody from original hausa states is hausa by tribe. We have hundreds of tribes residing in Hausaland and we hausa knows who they are, They also knows themselves, call your southern Kaduna hausa cristian let him introduce himself here and honestly answer our questions.

I don't deny the existence of none muslim hausa but they only make 0.07% or 1% of Hausa people. Hence i never met one and i doubt you had. You are mistaken cocolati as bahaushe grin that guy isn't hausa but Hausa-wannabe, Identity Fraud. Been able to speaks hausa does not makes you Bahaushe. You father and mother has to be hausawa for you to be called bahaushe. cool I doubt if any of his parents falls under
the 1% (None Muslims Hausa) cool but since we can't believe he is from the 1% just because he's speaks the Hausa language.

To prove he is hausa let's him post his picture smiley just like fulani have looks we can tell their identity so as hausa. I'm Hausa and i knows who is from my tribe when i see one.

Let him tell us from which hausa States he is from? and his village?

His parents state of origin? Among old hausa state and their village?

Every Hausa family have profession passed to them from generations to generation. What's his family profession? His father and mothers inherited professions/occupation?

who currently amongst His relatives is muslim?

Every Hausa has a family name, What's his family name? (Family name) and his mother's family name?

Is he and his parents later Christian convert?

When did him or his parents accept Christianity as faith?

Is he or his parents pagans before Christianity or were they muslims?

His age?

Is he married, if yes is his wife bahausa or not?

He needs more than the (capability to write in hausa) as his prove he's Bahaushe (Bahaushen jinsi) and not a gamagarin bahaushe (hausa by language)

Let him do us a favor by posting his pictures(3) and answer our questions.

Garba is one of the names given to one with name Abubakar. I think the name started as Karba and gradually changed to Garba. Other forms include Garbai, Abu, Buba, Bakari, Bakare, Habu, Bukar and Gagare.
Is Garbai a Kanuri version of hausa garba? It's only Kanuri i see using Garbai instead of garba never seen hausa using Garbai.

Also notice hausa from Kebbi, Sokoto, zamfara uses Bagudu for Abubakar more often than garba.

This is very very inaccurate.
Hausa is not the 11th most spoken language in the world. Lies.

So you think All of Niger belongs to Hausa by assigning all the population to them?

So where would you put Zarma-Songhai (25%), Arabic, Tamasheq, Fulfulde? ohh and Kanuri.

Mind you,, There is no way there are 85 million Hausa speakers in Nigeria.
Hausa people makes 53% of Niger Republic population. Bazabarmawa, Buzaye, Hillani da Bare'bari etc make the remaining percentage.

Only about 20% of Nigeriens are French literate but more than 80% of the population speaks hausa. Mind you in Niger hausa is the language its citizens use as bridge in communication with different tribes other than theirs

Nigeria is estimated to be 200million+ , given that northern Nigerian hold 60% of the population it will be right to say their are 120million+ hausa speakers or more in Nigeria alone. 95% Northern Nigeria speaks hausa and their are another 10% hausa speakers from southern Nigeria tribes igbos, Yoruba etc.

Hausa serves as the language of trade , Islam and language that united immigrants in many West African countries. Togo, Ghana, Benin, Cameroon, Gabon etc having millions of none hausa speakers. I estimate that to be 20million.

Their should be atleast 160milliom hausa speakers across the world. smiley I might be wrong but considering their are 120million Hausa speakers in Nigeria alone 17million hausa speakers in Niger Republic. my estimation isn't that ridiculous.
