I have been using this car battery for the past 15 months. Recently, it starts the car very well in the morning but, after driving around for some minutes/hours, it fails to start the engine almost immediately. Although, after two or more hours rest, it starts the engine very fine again, very symbolic of a weak battery.

I performed a DIY on the alternator while engine was running and got 14 volts, which means my alternator is working well. I proceeded in testing the battery and always get 12.7 volts (perhaps OK). A battery charger also checked the battery and confirm that, there is nothing wrong with it.

I am actually confused with the phenomenon where I will stop my car and it wont start almost immediately till I will have to wait and made up my mind to go for a new battery. I therefore, need candid advise/opinion from this esteemed forum before I will hastily conclude to buy a new battery.

My uncle used to tell me that, whenever he received a love letter from his girl friend, he would put it under his pillow and be reading it at two hourly intervals. I also wrote letters but, with the introduction of digital communication everything has changed. I cant remember when I wrote a letter last. No wonder, there is massive failure in English language these days.

Hello House, I use a car with very low floor, which often leads to broken exhaust pipe and other accessories underneath the car. This is quite common when negotiating bumpy roads. Recently, some people suggested raising the floor a little bit. Please, I would like to know the mechanical implication as well as the cost involved.

I have been applying for GE jobs since 2008 without any call for interview until this year, precisely in may, I received a call for interview and so far have attended up to five stages of interviews so far (the last been 2 weeks ago) and the hiring process still ongoing. I have been told through a couple of my guys working there that it may take up to a year plus. However, I would like to state that,
1, Not all successful candidates have a foreign degrees, though, its easy to acquire a foreign degree after joining them.
2, It is true that, their hiring process is lengthy, not favorably to a jobless applicant as he may tend to give up on them.
3, The job itself is worth all the pains and struggles as the condition of service is superb.
Therefore, I would like to encourage all intending applicants to apply as you can never tell when your stars will shine.

That supreme court order has made my day. The state tribunals should better sit up to do their work properly rather than dismissing a petition against a rigging exercise where millions of electorates were denied their choice candidates. This order has again given hope to a common man. In Benue state particularly, there were series of allegations against the incumbent government to pocket the tribunal.

I would like to contribute to the topic because I had a similar experience with my fiancee. Prior to our misunderstanding, she use to complain that I am always threatening her ( I will quit, I am bored with the relationship etc) even though I love her deep within me.
I remembered making one of the above comments when we had trouble recently and she took it so personal that all efforts by me to reconcile proved abortive to the extent that she refused to see me when I travelled from lagos to the north to see her (long distant relationship).
However, on the eve of my coming back to lagos she pleaded on the phone , she would like to see me at last which I also ignored and came back to lagos without seeing her again. In the wake all this my sister sat me down and point out my wrongs from the point of view of a woman which I actually accepted my faults and apologise to my fiancee on the phone while in lagos and hence, love like never before.
The point I am trying to make here is that, it si very important to respect the feelings of a woman by looking at issues from their own perspective too b4 taking a descsion. Never allow your self ego to misdirect you. Wish U a healthy relationship with your wife
