new2020: IBB was injured during the war. He took a long absense...that's why. No sir, you are wrong. Muhammadu Buhari has always been a rank ahead of Ibrahim Babangida, though Buhari was his senior by few months. Buhari enlisted in the Army on April 1962, same day with General Musa Yar'Adua. Babangida enlisted in the Army on December 10 1962, same day with Abacha, Gado Nasko, Vatsa, etc. So, Buhari and Babangida both enlisted in 1962, but Buhari in April, Babangida in December. |

docadams: @OP, where did you get this pix from. This pix is not that of Buhari as HOS but of late Gen Murtala Mohammed. Buhari has never had chubby cheeks but Murtala had. Also when Buhari was HOS, IBB was already a general. Moreover, in 1984 when Buhari became HOS black and white pics were no longer in vogue even in the villages. Did you check very well before posting? There was no mention of Buhari at all. This pic refers to the swearing in of the SMC in 1975. Where was Buhari mentioned in the thread, please show me |

OrlandoOwoh: Ibrahim Babangida had always been a rank ahead of Muhammadu Buhari. During the war, Babangida was a major while Buhari was a captain. How Buhari came to be a rank ahead of him is what baffles me. No sir, you are wrong. Muhammadu Buhari has always been a rank ahead of Ibrahim Babangida, though Buhari was his senior by few months. The Insignia on Babangida's right shoulder, is that of the RECCE BATTALION of the Nigeria Army. This picture brings memory to me from another ERA and i am actually shedding tears as i look at this picture.
Rest in peace DAD.

midolian: Its strictly by invitation, bro.. If not, the likes of shakau will enter and do what he knows how to do best. Please, are you serious that it's strictly by invitation? Talking about Shekau whom you mentioned lol, I understand the issue of security. But I thought anyone who wants to attend will be screened and thoroughly searched. I am not a government official, neither do I belong to any political party, I am a patriotic private citizen, so does it mean that I won't be able to witness the inauguration? |

I myself would like to witness the historic inauguration of General Buhari as President, but I have the apprehension that Eagle Square could be a restricted area tomorrow. Will patriotic ordinary Nigerians who wish to witness history be allowed into Eagle Square tomorrow for the inauguration, or attendance is strictly by invitation? |

Bollinger: This guys do not care about the well being of the president. You forget we have terrorist in our country. Do i have to break it down for you?
Step 1. Wait at stop light with rocket launcher.
Step 2. Once president obeys traffic rules, fire rocket launcher at motorcade.
Step 3. Keep firing.
Nigerians are really stu.pid. If we have to measure it on the stupidindicator scale of 1 to 10, it will be a 20. A terrorist armed with rocket launcher does not need a stop before attacking |
