SleakBuzzPR:Lol, hmmm. But Trump says what he means and he means what he says |
US President Donald Trump told Russia in an early morning tweet to prepare for "nice and new and 'smart!'" missile attacks in Syria after an alleged gas attack on the last rebel stronghold in the country. The tweet came after the Russian ambassador to Lebanon said in an interview on Tuesday with Hezbollah-owned al-Manar TV that "if there is a US missile attack, we - in line with both Putin and Russia's chief of staff's remarks - will shoot down US rockets and even the sources that launched the missiles". Trump further chided Russia for its support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Wednesday's tweet, saying it "shouldn't be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it!" Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova responded to Trump's tweet saying: "Smart missiles should fly towards terrorists, not [Syria's] lawful government, which has spent several years fighting against international terrorism on its territory. The warnings come as the United States and several European countries threatened to use military action against the Syrian government and its main ally, Russia, in response to a suspected chemical weapons attack on the rebel-held town of Douma. Saturday's attack in Eastern Ghouta has killed dozens of people, mostly women and children, according to activists and local medics. The Syrian government and Russia have denied that a chemical attack took place. On Tuesday, rival draft resolutions by the US and Russia to set up a new expert body to probe chemical weapons attacks in Syria both failed to pass at the United Nations Security Council. James Mattis, US defence secretary, did not rule out any military action against Assad's forces, while US ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, warned Washington was ready to "respond" to the attack regardless of whether the Security Council acted or not. Vladimir Shamanov, chairman of the defence affairs committee in Russia's lower house of parliament, said on Tuesday that Russia has "the necessary means for that and that Americans and their allies know that quite well", adding that a retaliatory strike could target US aircraft and naval ships, Reuters news agency reported. Meanwhile, the Syrian government has put its forces on "high alert" amid the looming threat of a US military response. With Russian military assistance, President Assad launched a bloody offensive on Eastern Ghouta, which had been under rebel control since mid-2013. Since the start of the aerial bombardment campaign on February 18, the offensive has claimed more than 1,600 civilian lives, and has, through a series of deals reached with rebel groups, internally displaced more than 45,000 people according to the UN. Trump later tweeted that Russian-US relations are "worse now" than ever before. The president concluded by opening the possibility of a detente: "There is no reason for this. Russia needs us to help with their economy, something that would be very easy to do, and we need all nations to work together. Stop the arms race?" ollah2:First, George Bush never said that God told him to invade Afghanistan and Iraq. I raptly monitored Bush's presidency from his campaign in year 2000 to the day he handed over. The only time he referenced God with regard to the war on terror was when he told ABC's George Stephanopolous that God told him that terrorists have been planning to do damage long time ago, and I watched that live. The report that George Bush said that God told him to invade Afghanistan and Iraq was fake propaganda like the fake report that Trump said that Africa should be colonized again, meanwhile, he never said that. Meanwhile, the invasion of Afghanistan happened after the September 11 attack, not because any God said Bush should invade. I agree with you that there maybe some very fringe elements who commit crimes shouting Allah's name, even though they are not Muslims. But trying to say that it is Christians who are disguising as Muslims to commit crime is refusal to accept a bitter truth. I hate it when people associate Islam with the crime an evil person commits, however, the brutal truth is that many Muslims commit crimes and use the Quran to justify it, and that gives a bad impression. The only solution is that criminals who want to commit crime should just do their thing and leave Allah's name and verses from the Qur'an out if their deeds. |
ollah2:Ollah2, I guess you were referring to the way some crimes are associated with Islam simply because the doer of the evil is a muslim. I myself I am opposed to associating criminals with their religion. However, sometimes, one can't blame those people who associate violence with Islam. This is because some Muslims who commit crimes make the blunder of justifying their evil with verses in the Qur'an and call Allah's name while committing the crime. Honestly, that is the problem. For example, I have the video of the Nigerian Air force fighter pilot who was caught and beheaded by Boko haram. God is my witness, as they were beheading him, they were shouting 'Allah u akbar.' Such actions give the impression that Islam influenced the evil they are doing. The truth is that evil has no religion. There are Christians who do evil, as well as Muslims who do evil. But Christians who do evil don't shout 'in Jesus name' nor quote Bible while committing crime. So nobody will attribute their evil deeds to Christianity. The problem is that some Muslims quote the Quran while doing evil. This gives the fake impression that Islam influenced them. Meanwhile, Islam never sent them to do that. |
Listic1:There is nothing wrong with the phrase 'how was your night?' You are only trying to make it look like it's inappropriate because the phrase is now being used all the time by everyone (both good and bad English speakers). My guess is that you are someone who doesn't like overused and worn out phrases and words just like me. The use of the phrase has become too common that it can be classified as worn out phrase. You are only trying to suggest alternative phrases that can be used in the morning instead of the overused and worn out "how was your night". I have met native English speakers who greeted me with the phrase in the morning. It's not a bad form of greeting. |
Fadiga24:But it violates APC's constitution, that's the challenge. Buhari didn't declare his opposition to the elongation because he doesn't want Oyegun's tenure to be extended. It's because it's against their constitution. Some people must have told him the bitter truth that extending their term by one year violates their constitution, making the party subject to litigation. Extending their tenure can be likened to the National Assembly saying that, "let's extend Buhari's tenure by one year because their is serious security issues in this country." Buhari's supporters in the National Assembly may be able to get enough votes to pass the resolution, but the courts will ultimately declare such resolution unconstitutional. |
Awaitingkopa:Hope you are also beautiful? |
Chicagoesontop:Even with the acid-battered face, it's clear that guy was a handsome boy. With that shape of head, and hair, he qualifies for a good looking guy in a place like Bangladesh. |
Jilo83:Hope he has been released? I wish him safety wherever he is. The news caught my interest because I traveled from Ilorin to Igboho via Igbeti recently, and we had to pass through the old Oyo National Park. That was the first time I would pass through the road. The driver was telling us when we were passing through, that some people were kidnapped on that road just the week before. When I was leaving Igboho back to Ilorin, my aunty was also telling me about the kidnappings and was praying for me that God should protect me from the kidnappers. Few days after I returned back to Abuja from Ilorin, I heard that 8 people were kidnapped again on the same road I just traveled to Igboho. I was shocked. I just hope the kidnappers doing this evil are apprehended soon. |
Zoharariel:Zoharariel, while it is very important that we embrace science and technology, faith in God is also very important. Right from when I was a kid, I have been of the view that developed nations such as America, Russia, Great Britain, etc, attained greatness because of their science and technological prowess. However, most of these countries, especially the US, have strong belief in God. Even Vladimir Putin once made reference to his personal belief in God (despite the perception that Russians are atheists). While science and technology help a country to advance rapidly, faith in God and worship of Him is also very very important. |
XhosaNostra:Well, no matter what, just work and have your own money. Don't depend on any guy to for any poverty alleviation program. |
MhizAJ:It's not bad to prefer rich guys only. I also prefer rich girls only. I don't do broke girls at all. What makes a broke ass girl from a poverty stricken family deserve my hard-earned money. No way. |
XhosaNostra:You can't be used and dumped if you have your own money and also financially independent. But if you are a gold-digging broke ass lady, expect to be treated like a piece of thrash. However, sometimes, broke girls are lucky to meet a good guy who will respect them despite their acute poverty. |
TheUpsetGirl1:Would you mind starting a thread on the benefits of dating a rich girl. Just as it is said that girls don't like broke guys, that's how I also don't like broke girls. I date rich girls only. |
Amarabae:True, but hope you are also not a broke girl? Only girls that are not broke have the right to warn broke guys. |
EvilChild:Nothing for BROKE GIRLS TOO!! Broke girls too don't deserve a rich guy. Broke girls should also go for their levels. Meanwhile, I also prefer girls with cars. If a girl has no car, she is a no no for me. |
fajul:You are welcome sir |
fajul:Hello, those bands are used to increase the magazine capacity of the guns. They are not a sign of damages or defective weapons. Here's the explanation: normally, an ak-47 rifle has one magazine attached to it. Each magazine holds 30 rounds of ammunition. But due to the war situation, one 30-round magazine may not be enough. So they attach another magazine to make it 60 rounds of ammunition. By attaching a second magazine, it gives the soldier more rounds. The soldier is now armed with 60 "bullets instead of 30 "bullets." So, the "bands" you are talking about are there to increase a soldier's firing power from 30 to 60. The "bands" are not there to "hold" a damaged rifle. If a soldier is going for a guard duty in a calm environment, one 30-round magazine is enough. No need for any band to attach a second magazine. But in a very hot and flash point environment, to hold a rifle with just one magazine may be suicidal, hence the "bands" you see on them. |
aioluwa:Okay, I'll write you |

HeyCorleone:I concur with you. That's what most Nigerians seem not to understand. The issue is not about the individual. No matter who is there, the problem will persist because of the failed system. |
TolaTosin:The last time I checked, Tinubu is a human being, not a political party. So nothing like "his candidate." |
TolaTosin:Sir, he wasn't disgraced in Ondo. Yes, it's true that the candidate he supported, Segun Abraham lost. However, Tinubu did not actively work against Akeredolu in the general election. He gave Buhari his word after Akeredolu defeated Segun Abraham in the primaries that he was not gonna work against the party, and that was why in the statement Buhari released after Akeredolu's victory, he commended Tinubu. Please understand this, there is a difference between not wanting a candidate and actively working against a candidate. There is a difference between not being happy with a candidate, and activating all your political machineries to work against the candidate. While Tinubu did not actively support Akeredolu's candidacy, he never used his political might to work against him either. |
Thegeneralqueen:I also can't date a broke ass lady |
ekems2017:Sir, if only you know the modus operandi of the U.S. and Canadian governments, you would have known that they didn't pay any ransom if actually there was any ransom payment. A more possible theory would have been that they used intelligence or tracking devises to help the "rescue operation," or that the abducted guys called their acquaintances to pay ransom. |
