Hello everyone I hope that all our little ones are doing great. Pls I need your help. My 2yr old son has refused to eat. All my attempt at cajoling,petting, forcing have fallen on deaf ears. He has lost so much weight and is no longer chubby infact he is skinny now. I don't know what to do. I used to give him cyprivite or cyprigold but I stopped as someone told me it was a drug administered to mad and anorexic ppl. Pls I need a solution ASAP. Thanks a lot

@hummingbird the lord is your strength and he will definitely see you through. This fp issue is a serious matter oh! About a month after having my son is had an iucd implanted it made me so uncomfortable I just felt it wasn't fixed properly I went in for my 6 wks appointment. And pap smear and the nurse told me it wasn't in place and I should go see a doctor and I should do a pt. Cos I could already be pregnant u had to see me I went paranoid cos my baby was barely 9wks and dh doesn't even want to entertain the idea of another child. Luckily I wasn't pregnant but it turned out that the iucd was out of place and I'm one of the few women who can't use one and cos of health reasons I can't use anything hormonal. We have to resort to using cd and calculating. As it stands dh thinks I took the iucd out on purpose cos I want another kid.

Blendy77: Julicoka how old is ur boy? I think its the pap. Its probably not good with his system that is why he is excreting it. One of my boys had same issue when I first introduce pap n sma gold at 3m. For like 3 days the guy kept pooing after eating even up to 4 times a day. I had to stop the pap and kept giving him only the sma gold and breast milk as before and the poo returned to normal, once in 2-3 days. We just started the pap again at 4m 2 days ago so am watching him. No change yet in his pooing pattern for now so we are still watching him cos I intend changing to somethg else if the poo continues.
I think u shd stop the pap and watch him for some days and if possible, boil his drinking water.

Wendy kids are known for rejecting foods they are not used to. I think u should keep trying to get ur baby to take the nan except the baby is throwing up or pooing excessively then u can now talk of changing his formular. Secondly, u cod express ur milk and keep in the fridge/freezer for him if ur sole reason for introducing formular is because of ur job. Ur milk can stay up to 3m when stored in the freezer. All the best.
Secondly how far wt the car seat u wanted to buy? I have brand new Gracco snug ride in PH for sale but its not 10k sha as U might need to increase ur budget if u want it.

@ona thanks a lot I didn't do exclusive for 6months I did it for five months cos my sisters son who was on ebf is 4now and he doesn't eat. So I started. Introducing formula @5months. He refused all attempts of my giving formula but when I bottle feed him bossom milk he takes it. I've tried Rice cereals like milupa, Gerber, cow and gate and heinz both with water, bossom milk and formula. Even nutrients 4, 6 and 8 cereals He refuses all. I don't know what to do its giving me a cause for real concern. Someone suggested. I mash unripe banana. With crayfish. And give him. Who has heard of this? I'm not familiar with ewedu how do I prepare it for him?

I need help my son is refusing to eat solids oh! All he wants is bossom milk he's almost 7months now. I'm at my wits end. I've maid home made pap with guinea corn corner and millet, I've given him banana. Apples all pureed alone and mixed with bossom milk, boiled potatoes with peas, carrots mackerel fish, beans and canned foods likecow and gate heinz qnd cereals all to no avail. I don't know what else to do. Can anyone tell me what to do? I don't want to be force feeding him. Your help is needed urgently.

Hello mummies I need some help pls I've been using coconut oil and the chicco baby range on my 5month old since he was born bur for the last month or so he has developed very dry scaly skin around his neck and shoulders. Has anyone experienced such with their baby? I've been told that its dry skin and I should apply more cream. I've done that but there's no change. I need a solution as I want my presidents skin to be glowing and spotless. Also does anyone have a remedy for cough and cattarh in babies?@omogemi pls what's tribact? Thanks a lot

Pls I need your prayers I'm ill and have been admitted into the hospital. My husband and sisters are insisting on introducing formula to my lo. I'm not comfortable with the idea. I have a very good supply of bossom milk and I insist that during the day my baby is with me in the hospital and I breast feed him althrough the day at night I express 2 260ml bottles and send it home with him as there are a lot of mosquitoes here and I don't want him exposed to malaria. my husband says I'm ill cos of the ebf and stress of looking after my lo as I've refused any help with him. He says he'll introduce formula and my sisters have given him their support. I don't know what to do. I feel I'm well enough to continue with ebf but all attempts at convincing them have failed. I need to get out of the hospital ASAP so pls u ppl should pray for a speedy recovery for me.

@maran my baby isn't 3months he is 4months and two weeks. And yes I would rather Continue with breastmilk and introduce solid to supplement the milk.@revelation he has been gaining weight at birth he weighed 2.7 a month later 3.3 at 2 months he weighed 4.9 @11wks he weighed 5.9kg @3months 6.3 and @4months 6.7 what I'm worried about is that within the 3-4month period he didn't gain much weight. Is that normal? And can I introduce solids in a few wks time. My elder sister had her son on ebf and he is now 4yrs and still refuses to eat. I have noticed this with some other ebf babies.

Good morning to all the mummies and daddies here may God continue. To keep our LO well and happy for us. I'm a first time mum and my cute President is 18wks from birth I've been using coconut oil on his skin and hair alongside the chicco baby range. Last week I noticed he developed a rash on his forehead along with what appears to look like a burn on his neck and very dry scaly skin on his shoulders. next thing a boil appeared on his forehead I took him to the peads and he said that the rash is heat rashes and it got infected so that resulted in the boil and that the burns and dry skin could be a fungal infection he gave be funbact-of to rub on the affected areas the rash and the burns alongside the boil has gone a week later but the skin is still dry and scaly on his shoulder. I'm wondering. If this could be a reaction to the chicco as this set I bought is from there new lovely moments collection they said the old line I was using has been phased out. I've also been on ebf although I express and give him from the bottle at night and anytime we are out. My problem Now is that I want to start work on the 18th of this month and I don't know how to handle The transition. I think he isn't getting satisfied. From the breast milk alone. As he hasn't gained. Much weight btwn the third month and this fourth month at birth he weighed in @ 2.7 and at 3months 6kg now he weighs 6.7 I expected. Him to gain a kg every month now that I'll be atwork I feel he won't be eating enough but I don't want to introduce formula. Can I start him on solids?

Do you know what you are talking about? it can be dificult financially. It all depends on how sickly the girl in question is. some sicklers have to be hospitalised virtually every month. I had a sickler friend of mine who died because of lack of funds. she fell into crisis was rushed to the hospital and needed blood transfusion there was no available match and no money to buy the blood or even pay the bill. by time the father was able to raise the money for the blood the girl had died. to realease the corps was another issue cause of the outstanding medical bills. even in government hospitals do you know how much antibiotics or a shot of penta goes for? depending on the extent of pains she might have to be given it 4hourly or worse it does nt work for that long and they might have to supplement with a drug like diclophenal. all those cost money.then the nicosan costs about 4000 naira and you take it daily and then you'll probably have to buy it monthly. so it all depends on his income and financial status. A stint in a private hospital could cost about 18,000 assuming she is hospitalised 6 times in the yr thats about a 100,000. tht does not even include normal regular checkups or minor pains.
So it all depends on him. how much does he earn and how much is he willing to sacrifice.
