I think at this point FG should pay ASUU the salary arrears since that has always been the culture since ASUU started striking. Besides, it's not like that money would be properly channeled if not paid, it'll still be looted by the corrupt politicians.

What some of us didn't want to hear was that lecturers were getting paid while the students were languishing at home. If they're ready to suspend the strike, then FG should pay them. After all, they need the money to be in the right frame of minds to teach when school resumes. We don't want them transferring the anger on the students if forced to go back to class without pay. The relationship with students was bad on a normal day let alone when they're forced to class without pay. It'll be bloody mehn!

Meanwhile, some of these lecturers are good and I know one in particular (a Prof in UNIBEN) that assist indegent students financially from his little salary. So, because of such Godly lecturers, I pray that God touches the hearts of the president and ministers to release their salaries and do the needful to end this strike....Amen

If not connection, how did you become Labour Party presidential candidate without even a 1month membership of the long existing party?

Was it your entitlement to be a Presidential candidate that you could not accept defeat in PDP, so you ran out at the 11th hour to go secure it elsewhere without prior work for that party?

If Character is being discussed, would you be remembered positively or negatively as that political prostitute who promised never to leave APGA and that leaving APGA would mean leaving politics?

What is your Capacity with your poor academic record and your inability to grow the economy of Anambra state?

If Commitment was paramount, would you depart APGA and also depart PDP that gave you a national platform in 2019?

Its not like the FG doesn't know that ASUU of today is even more resolute than ASUU of IBB era who were even chased out of the staff quarters but didn't buldge or give up.
Ghana spent 2years of strike to get it right. Maybe Nigeria wants to toll the same path ours may even take 3 years who knows.
Funny thing is that University teachers are skilled workers who cannot easily be replaced. Even if you decide to higher foreign lecturers no right thinking PhD will leave his country to come and collect the slave wage being paid to lecturers in this country.
When FG is ready they know what to do for now they have election issues to think of and students can go to h3ll for all they care.

If you are really correct with the amount politicians earn on monthly basis 4 4yrs. I think it worths it compare to the responsibilities they carry during the period. Prof will retire at the age of 70 probably work for 40+yrs...So politicians salaries are obsolete just for 8yrs highest with lots of people on his neck if he wants to do the right thing. Councilors don't earn up to that to say the truth
The country is still not good but those unproductive lecturers are just fighting for their pocket using students to catch cruise

Government give them accomodations, Government give them research bonuses and the likes still yet they are still wasting our time with their useless strikes

Do your calculations and compare it to what Bashir Ahmed was earning as a media aid to Buhari and also as a ghost worker. That alone will show you how insincere this government is.

What becomes of a country without quality and prioritise education for the masses? A major setback for the country because these people you deprive of their fundamental rights will one day come back to cause problems for you.
