I think our A109's ,due to their speed, will act as armed scouts/first responder to suppress the boko-haram technicals while the alpha jets (likely second responders) will arrive to bomb.The mi35 will probably come late and take out any remaining heavy technicals armed with AAA missed by the alphas,and the retreating forces wiped out by the A109's.

the Rooivalk was developed from the Puma as was the Oryx........ The prototype was developed into a dedicated AH and a dedicated transport helicopter. That's the point I was making.

If a helicopter is designated in the attack role that is what it is,not if future adaptations were made.At the time of the picture it was designated as an attack helicopter which means it could fulfill the role. Speed,manoeuvrability, armour,night/stand-off capability, anti-armour or otherwise are add-ons.
Your own people told you that the helicopter in the picture is an attack helicopter at the time and you are trying hard to deny it. SAD.

On the contrary, the A109CM/K/M was the first Euro effort at an attack helicopter. The succedent effort A129 Mangusta was not even successful although it has the aggressive lines and profile that some of you guys might want in an AH.

It carries a high rate of fire 105mm howitzer. High caliber, super accurate shelling from 10,000ft.
Nobody calls that aircraft a C130 transport.
It is NOT a C130 transport.
It is an area denial/ precision targeting special mission platform of impressive capabilities. They needed to have enhanced the airframe structure, cut off large sections of fuselage, loaded the aircraft with sensors and so many other things. Thats not C130 anymore and they rightfully dont even call it that

The primary role of the A-109K in NAF service is attack. It has other secondary roles.

The AH6 and A-109k serve similar purposes in the US and Nigerian military service, hence the comparison.

Look at the AH6.... It has flir, targeting systems, Hmd...... It was designed primarily for Attack roles from the get go.... Even if you look at the secondary roles: "Light Attack, Precision Attack, Anti-armor, Close Combat Attacks, Reconnaissance, Security & Escort, Troop Insertion/Extraction, Combat Search & Rescue" ..... Except for troop insertion, all the other roles are also fulfilled by dedicated AHs.

On the other hand the A109 was never designed with the primary role of being an attack helicopter like the Ah6.
