EventsRe: Marriage In Oron, Akwa Ibom State by JLM(f): 2:38pm On Jan 21, 2016
K am from Oron nation. It depends on the followin factors:
1. Is it a fresh marriage? Or has she had a child for you already. If your case is the second, then it will cost more, cos you will pay for "insult" to the family.
2. It also depends on her family too and the class they belong. In my case my hubby is from etinan, n my I from oron. My marriage list itself was not bogous cos everything was around 550k bt for the feeding of guests, my family always prefers to contract out to caterers, they don't like the family members being distracted during any event cos of food. So we had to cater for ppl at 1K per plate, for 200 people, dats for trad alone. So 550k plus 200k You can do the math.

3. It depends on ur wife to be too. She would be the one to plead with her people to cut down if its too much. In my case my mum was my advocate, cos almst evrytin on d list was for extended family, my parents are above comfortable so they didn't require anything in excess jst to fulfil trad requirements. Twas some uncles n aunties dat wia tryin to over-increase d list. You know village people tins.
EventsRe: Event Planners Or Caterers Pls Help by JLM(f): 2:21pm On Jan 21, 2016
My dear,

Its hard to count such, cos what if you were catering for 500 people?. The only way to check this is to
1. Ask them to get to the event venue before people arrive, then u go and inspect the food. Without counting you should know, if what you r seeing is up to what you payed for.
2. Its easier if you are using round tables or table setting, so if u placed 5 chairs per table n each table if fully occupied you can check every table to ensure guests have been served, that is if it doesn't exceed the number
3. Most caterers even go with extra food n meat incase your guests exceed the number. Like for 10 or 15 extra ppl, depending on d number you paid for,at least I know dats wat I do, cos wen some pay for 200 guests on that day you will see 300, and they'll be blaming the caterers. So you see its a 2sided coin. Except its an event that is strictly "by invitation" bt we all know most naija events are not like that.

Hope this has helped.

igbo crimal ways was legendary back to back from drug trafficking to baby factory to ritual to stealing in shoprite, iyalaya agbari ojuku, buhari ti take over, oma deal pelu gbogbo yin, fucck dat shiit!
Anoda yoruba illiterate referring to warri as "igboland". Which school did these yorubas attend sef? The same thing happened when I was in camp. As educated as the westerners are, they keep telling people from akwaibom, benue, cross river that they speak igbo. Infact some can kill demselves arguing. I grew up n also schooled in the north, the so-called illiterate North, yet we were well educated to the point of knowing all ethnic groups and their languages.

Yorubas still live on oral tradition, I.e what their parents told dem. They can't even travel out of their states to gain some important cultural education. Am so sick of this display of iliteracy. Even from so-called western 1st class graduates!!

You knew that accusers would question authenticity of this post but you still went ahead to post it, then you are questionable too.
I love to share info on opportunities that others can benefit from just like some innocent people shared the info about FG asking 4 CVs before they got to know it was untrue. I do not think such people are questionable, cos it was only out of a goodness of heart.

But to people like you that are seasoned scammers and dupes it would seem odd. This is why people keep good info to themselves sometimes, because of diarrhea mouthed people like you, who fail to think before you open your mouth to run people down.

That's why you will always remain where you are.
CareerRe: Help A Welder Pls!!!!b4 Frustration Kills Him by JLM(f): 6:49pm On Jan 06, 2016
My dear its people with skills like your that they are looking for in countries like canada, because they have less of such skills here! Do you know how much a welder earns in canada? At least 80 dollars per hour! If only you had funds to apply under skilled labour and travel. But with this your low financial condition, hmm It is well.

C'mon dear why will you call me scammer sorry about the scam it was a mistake pele, Buh have I done wrong by putting you on the spot as an aspiring young lady. And moreover if I may ask how many recruitment process have you attend not to talk of experience, a fresh graduate like you. Well I don't want to go far but take it or leave it this thread is derailed already open another one with another monicker and use the strategy I gave you. You even look very familiar from Ib
Sir, I wonder where you are seeing the "familiarity" or where you got the notion that I am a fresh graduate. Perhaps you are familiar with every female in Ibadan. For the record, I was referring to recruitment processes that I have participated in as a Human Resource personnel, and not as an applicant. I also have no need to hide under any new label just to prove a point. Anyone that sees a need can either act on this thread or remain. Its not a do or die affair.

@JLM hahahahahahhaha I like your business strategy, I'm so encouraged when I see a lady striving beyond limit. Cause the hustle is real my brother and sister but I want to point out your few mistake those you make that deterred this thread
1. Poor presentation
2. Inadequate feasibility study
3. Little or no review stategy
4. Lack of testimonials
Work on this and open another thread, slap me if they don't by your scam. Thank me later
Sir, if you are a scammer by profession, then good for you. But this thread was opened based on the experience I have gathered from recruitment processes and a need to help those around me grow.
Like I have said countless times, it is not for those who are perfect CV owners, but for those who need to improve. Besides this, after a review, each person will see what has been reviewed before payment. I have a team of hardworking graduates that do great work on CVs.

Please kindly desist from derailing and running down this thread if you have no meaningful contribution to make. Thank you.

If to say Chevron or Shell don give u work ni, u no go come nairaland dey beg for 1k to write CV, send me ur acct number make i help u small..
Dis one will come, 10 RULES OF WRITING CV, dat one will come COMMON MISTAKE IN COMPILING CV, DO & DONT OF CV... Maka y? Una just dey frustrate unemployed dude.....
My dear nairalander if you have ever heard about "Maslows heirarchy of needs" you would know that when a person places a post about an enterprise, it does not necessarily mean the person is jobless, or poorly employed.

You would know this if you have gone beyond the point of thinking about the three basic needs of man. Sometimes there are unemployed dependants around a well employed person and rather than giving them 5k or 10k everytime they come to you, and sending them away, you look for their strong points or talents and create avenues for them to be employed.

Know that to whom much is given, much is expected. So if you are earning a million per month, and you have a family, and at least 30 unemployed from your church alone coming to you for one assistance or the other every month, you will be no different from a low income earner. If you can't find their strengths and help them to help themselves, you will only go down.

But that is when you have gotten beyond the hunger level yourself. So I understand where you are coming from.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigerian Graduates And Their Terrible CV Presentation! (CV attached) by JLM(op): 8:24am On Jan 06, 2016
It is a pity how shallow we reason to our own detriments. Imagine some saying a woman cannot write his CV! What a great show of retrogressive mentality.

Most comments here portray the mindset of individuals with a mentality borne out of the frustration of current circumstances. Yes people will always get jobs through referrals and "Man-know-Man". Mind you it didn't begin today. It has only gotten worse in our generation.

Despite this however, people who refuse to develop a negative mindset always brush themselves up after every rejection and they get to their zenith eventually.

Keep pointing fingers and giving different colourful excuses for your failure, while the go-getters are getting there. So someone with a trashy CV got a job right? Great, keep yours the same way and I sincerely hope it gets you your heart desire.

Please note once again that this thread is not for owners of PERFECT CVs. Just for those who feel there is a need for them to have an upgrade: a better and simple, straight forward, error free, clutter-free CV, which though not overly colourful, will be appealing and less cumbersome to the eyes of any HR personnel.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigerian Graduates And Their Terrible CV Presentation! (CV attached) by JLM(op): 3:49am On Jan 06, 2016
An employer will only give u an opporrunity to expreSs yourself when your CV shows him you are worth talking to, otherwise its a waste of time.
This I know from experience

We are all focused on creating jobs, yes a good idea indeed. But when you haven't gotten a means to do that yet, I suppose the best thing is for you to sit at home and hold tight to your view of a perfect CV.

Unfortunately, some of us just make comments on nairaland with little or no information, experience or exposure on the subject at hand. I wish you goodluck on your high horses.
Note that this thread was intended for people with faults, not perfect beings like you.
