You are not entirely spot on. Take myself for example, I have being married for 5+ years and I still have a strong sexual attraction for my wife. In such on a few occasions that I cheated in the past, came to the realization that the women I slept with didn't give me the high level orgasm I usually get when I do it with my wife.

Don't try to twist the argument here, the nexus of whether the girl lives or die argument in court was the blood transfusion, and in this instance the parents are objecting to medical evidence of blood transfusion because of their faith. Of course the parents would have been told that their are no other options of the girl's survivability but the transfusion. ((Circumstantial).

Governing Body doesn't say anything new if you are studying with the JWs because it's whatever they found written in the Bible that they base their teachings on.
But when people including members of the group notice what is happening and compare it to what the scriptures say the fear grips many that only members of this group can be saved.

Well after centuries of spiritual darkness Jesus returned as a spirit King and began to restructure his group though what he met wasn't the same thing he left back in the first century {Luke 18:8} but he started going from one group to another until he found this group called "International Bible Students" out of all religions claiming Abrahamic only this group was prepared to welcome this spirit King who wants to correct all the blunders man has committed in the name of God.
So Jesus chose them and started working with them until his father was satisfied with the restructuring and changed their name to JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES! Isaiah 65:15
Note what God said in that verse, He will destroy all others except this group.
WHY?
Because they are the only ones meeting up with the goal for which Christianity was established which is gathering peace lovers {Luke 10:6} throughout the earth {Matthew 28:19-20} to form one big and happy family of peace loving worshipers {Micah 4:1-3} so when Jesus said many will claim they are Christians but he will disown them {Matthew 7:21-23} it's because they failed to meet up with God's purpose therefore instead of working for Jesus the Prince of Peace they will be deceived by Satan the killer to continue hating, fighting and killing one another! Revelations 6:3-4
That's why Jesus said he will order all of them to be killed when he start his government! Luke 19:27
My careful research makes me believe that this is the reason why Jehovah's Witnesses claim that Armageddon will spare only Jehovah's Witnesses and those who are progressively studying the Bible with them! Malachi 3:16
