can a Southern candidate defeat Tinubu? Jonathan can't contest again according to what I've read so far, Osinbajo isn't that popular like Obi and the South East might not vote for him like they did for Obi. Obi on the other hand, Atiku, Elrufai and Kwankwaso will not want to deputise him and I don't think there's any other strong candidate in the north that can clear the northern votes apart from those 3 guys mentioned.

It seems hard for another southerner to be given the chance even by fellow southerners for a fresh 8yr start instead of just kicking Tinubu out in '27 or '31.

On the other hand, Atiku was already vice President once. El Rufai and Kwankwaso have no excuse, neither are they much more older nor too experienced to Deputize Peter Obi.
It's either they do it directly (Joe Biden) or they do so indirectly (Tinubu via osibanjo) if they're any serious about their presidential ambitions.
For example, If Obi rejoins Atiku as VP or Atiku throws his camp and a VP candidate behind Obi right now, it'll be insurmountable and probably the fastest chance to realise his presidential bid.

Now I plan to move out of Lagos to PH or Akwa Ibom, then use part of the money to start up a computer business center, where I'll be doing typing, printing, lamination, jamb registration, GCE/WAEC registrations, etc. One of the reasons I chose this is because I've worked in a place like this before and I have experience in how to run such a place. I don't know where you are from nor why you want to leave Lagos. Maybe you're not from there or you want to stay away from familiar pressure but your plan is good.
Don't focus only on major towns and state capitals There are some places that are calm like Ohafia in Abia State and public electricity is not available.
A solar powered phone charging, pos and accessories shop would fetch you a killing. Adding service like laundry or gas refilling would be blockbuster.
Shop and establishing the biz in such areas can even be less than half of the cost in major towns whereas the demand and returns are huge.

The sole administrator is the governor by a sort of "martial law" till the end of their tenure or when they're relieved of duties by the federal government. They don't need your political parties nor contesting in elections and they're not concerned about your civil court matters.
Some people here may be too young to remember Obasanjo appointing Sole administrators in two different states nor Nigeria in the times before may 29 1999. For example, Tanko Zubairu, a Northerner was administrator for Imo state. At least Vice Admiral Ibas is from the same South South.

The only sensible thing members of the coalition can do for themselves is Deputize to rule A.K.A Joe Biden move. Tinubu(via osibanjo) and now Shettima have utilised this move to get into the corridors of power.

A 2027 Atiku/Obi ticket will be easier to oust Tinubu and make the north happy. They've been crying because their tenure was not completed under Yar'Adua. Obi can run for president later when it's a fresh turn for the south.
Obi/Kwankwaso ticket. Giving Kwankwaso a foot in the doorway and chance to redeem his 2023 errors. But other northerners including Atiku might oppose.
For ordinary Nigerians and sceptical northerners, just letting Tinubu go naturally instead of stressing yourself might seem the best option.

I have always said that part of Atiku's problem in 2019 was picking Peter Obi single-handedly. It infuriated the SE governors because Obi mostly criticised them.

Abaribe, Ekweremadu and Ugwuanyi didn't like that incident and also the fact that they didn't tell them before announcing him despite the fact that the PDP governors and ranking senators in the SE worked hard to make sure he became the candidate over Tambuwal. This was the first betrayal and because of this, they reduced their support for his candidacy.

Atiku has always shown a character flaw of picking the wrong running-mates. If the SE votes in the 2019 election was as high as 45% with the sane voting percentages, he would have won. This would have happened if he oicked Abaribe as running-mate.

In 2023, if he had picked Wike as running-mate, he would have been president right now too.

As 2027 approaches, I hope he has learnt this, but lets see how it goes

Atiku's greatest undoing was not getting on to the main INEC list for presidential elections all this while. He was always jumping from one PDP primary to the other APC primary until 2019. If he had found and stuck to a notable party to be fielding him as candidate (like Buhari did with CPC) he would have had a different chance. Look at his two performances at the poll as PDP card holder.

Wike is the worst person to put as your running mate. Okowa was like choice of Jonathan in 2007. In 2023, Atiku and PDP needed a "neutral" running mate and Okowa fit.

2019? Was Buhari's second term. Would you rather wait for him to finish 4yrs or start a fresh northern 8yrs.
2023? Turn of the South with sympathy leaning to east. It could have been if he were still in collab with Obi. Either Obi or Tinubu, the south took their turn. That 2nd place they announced him was just for consolation.
