OkanlawonB:They can install solar on external platforms like metal pole away from the building itself. The main reason landlords don't want it on their roofs is because of damaging the roof and flooding the apartments. Maybe the wood for trusses are weak or the installers leave big punctures. Some people have had to change their roof entirely after a tenant packed out and removed their panels. but fire disaster is another damning reality Cj4charles: |
Osibanjo is 68 and they say T is how many again!? |
2027 Tinubu hands over to Shetima/Seyi 😁😁😁 |
iLegendd:The problem depends on these particular community and how serious they want to be. Ohafia in Abia banned cattle grazing. Even your cow meat for market dem no want. Na only for army barracks Mami market you go see live cow to buy. Some communities in Mbaise and Ngor okpala in Imo has since banned grazing too even though their people are heavy into butcher and cattle selling business. I've also being noticing the trend of more communities in different areas toeing same path and defending their stance with blood. 🔫🔫🔫 |
Wealthoptulent:Seriously? Even a docile 🧠 could have come up with a better comeback.smh🤦🏻♂️ Wealthoptulent:He already has a university running. Now tell us, How exactly is he supposed to build a tertiary institution for government? With whose funds or authority? 🫴🏻💴 buy 🤏🏻🧠 |
Very apt location for college of agriculture (a.k.a Polytechnic) That whole area has a lot of farmers and farm settlements. Even people all the way from Imo are leasing land and going into agriculture there. I know in due time it will end up upgraded to uni agric. Kudos Added to his uni sports, his constituency is getting more tertiary institutions to enhance biz & development. |
Yestogood:Actually there are. The Nsukka region have some "brothers" beyond the boundaries. In which class are they right now in Benue and Kogi? Nevertheless, nobody is classifying anything for them especially when they'll be with only people of related dialects in the new formation. Enugu and Nsukka towns does seem like two different entities if you were a first time traveller. Nsukka people share similarities across the imaginary state lines than with people from Enugu and other towns same as Orlu(imo) with Ihiala(Anambra) are closer related than with Owerri or Okigwe people in Imo. So, if the Adada people (including the related people across Enugu State) are clamouring for state, it's not up to online strangers like Us to say otherwise. The proposed Urashi(Orlu) state similarly involves people across two states while the Proposed Etiti state involves people across Five states. |
These people should stop this nonsense. Delta people themselves are angry with Babangida. They want to be divided so that the Anioma side can stay separate. That's all. South East are not calling for addition of Anioma. I propose 8 states for each region for equity. Language doesn't matter, there are many different languages in South South already so Ikwerre and Anioma together can become one new state or two different states in South South. Unless they want to recarve regions or zones in Nigeria. South East are not happy nor interested in these calls because they already have strong calls for Etiti state, Urashi(Orlu) state and some others. |
Gov Adeleke should allow them if the highest judgement has been given in court, I heard their tenure expires October so it'll be a short stay. Fubara should rapour with the house members if the highest court judgement has been given in court. They're elected not appointed. To avoid going against the constitution in a way the opposition can gang up on them by the end of this tenure. The ruling party are in possession of professional witch hunters Nothing the LG and HOA go fit do their government. |
Wealthoptulent:Not everybody ends up like Badenoch. The richest Nigerians and their wards are steady parading in Nigeria. Many people just went within a period with a target (to change their family condition) and returned voluntarily thereafter. I have also seen Nigerians who had to return at the end of their Visa and many more who got deported after many years. Wouldn't it be better if they at least had some roof and little investment to 'save face' and bounce back on their feet!? "Do not despise humble beginnings." As newbies in a strange country, any investment or backup at home is not a senseless move in their foundation years. When they get permanent residence or citizenship and/or if they prosper, it wouldn't be a problem to leave these ones to their relatives or sell them off. |
Simple things Fresh elections next month Replace some of the chairmen in the next election to widen support. Appoint the outgoing ones to head commissions, boards or agencies. This time around place your stooges on more than one party e.g YPP, ZLP & APP for different LGAs. Makes it look more democratic. |
Adonisty:Masters degree is necessary is teaching is a profession you love to grow in. It'll allow You to start looking up for "big" schools and lecturing jobs. There a lots of private and federal universities and Polytechnics being set up around the country. But this should not stop you nor be an alternative for pursuing professional qualifications. Find a mentor or cyber college around you for A good i.t course. You're already a graduate you don't need a fresh utme for computer. Companies hire nowadays based on experience and professionalism not paper. Then after learning the programme perfectly, you go for the professional exams to beef up your CV. e.g. ICAN or other relevant to your field. As a teacher, take the Teachers registration council exam and become TRCN certified and get a post graduate diploma in education before your masters. |
Gas leak or ingested substance? Hasten the investigation This one sounds somehow o! |
Abia high court Ke? All the way from Kano! U just want their money to finish on transportation😏 |
Jagabanbattle:Liar Liars.. trying to hoodwink north central incase your other bedmates should get double mind. If you were in their interest then, Why were you people so desperate to scatter the arrangement to go North Central after Goodluck Jonathan!? |
numericalguy:According to fools who were nowhere near onicha or upper iweka road before and after Obi's administration. For those of us who were not in politics neither was I from Anambara but who transversed during that period, we will rather watch you people do what you are used to do just to demarket any Igbo presidency aspirations. This comment of yours has nothing to do with this post and it had absolutely nothing to do with Peter Obi. Continue deflecting your life, I know you must buy cheaper groceries and data than the rest of we Nigerians. |
Nchenches:Just like I thought. You know absolutely nothing about what you're talking about. Owerri people have not ruled Imo state up to 2yrs since creation of the state and the ordinary people do not have power over the location of institutions neither are all the institutions located in Owerri. How many of those properties are owned by Owerri people? Why are you distancing this conversation from the PH, Arochukwu and Akwa Ibom examples given? Why didn't Arochukwu, Offorolla, Umuagwo, Okigwe and the Akwa Ibom community develop despite hosting institutions you're crying about? Are you implying You're just bird brain fuelled with jealousy and blind hatred for Owerri People? |
Nchenches:The problem with Orlu becoming a state is with their counterparts in Ihiala, Nnewi etc and whether Ohaji Egbema saying they're not related to them. It has nothing to do with Owerri people. NOBODY IN OWERRI IS TRYING TO STOP ORLU ZONE FROM JOINING THEIR COUNTERPARTS TO FORM STATE It is the federal government that creates states incase you didn't know. Abia is bigger than Imo state even though it was carved from Imo. Still Imo didn't collapse and Abia didn't become better than Imo despite having Aba business hub. This amount of hate for Owerri people is too bad. Have you being to Rivers State and seen how many institutions, estates and markets that are in Port Harcourt area alone? This is one of the reasons Nigerians are dying in suffering. Focus on hating each other instead of attacking the incompetent rulers. How developed is Okigwe ever since IMSU(now ABSU) was located there? How developed was Umuagwo Ohaji ever since College of agric (a.k.a Imopoly now UAES) was located there? How developed was Offorolla ever since federal college was located there? Even Nekede and Ihiagwa axis just witnessing a boom in development during these later year 2000s despite hosting FUTO and FEDPOLY since the 70s. Owerri is not even developed enough as capital should be. Imo and Abia are just cursed with backwards rulers. |
Nchenches:Go and check Abia State college of education in Arochukwu even as at today and one federal Polytechnic like that located in Akwa Ibom. How many colleges are viable on their own? Anybody old enough would know that the college's were like fourth choice and both parents and students would rather take jamb 10times than choose to attend them. Campuses for university sef are struggling so I don't see how campuses would have been viable for a college back in those days. Everything is not about paying rent in Owerri because every other institution by the state were located other places. What they said might not be far from the truth. Try to see everything with clear eyes not about trying to hating on Owerri. Owerri and Owerri people are suffering from the lazy type of governance in Imo. Mind you that Owerri people are not the ones ruling in fact they're being marginalised from becoming governor yet the people in charge will just pack money into their pockets, patch control roundabout and claim they have rehabilitated PH road or they'll repaint or replace the concrete blocks along bank road and claim they have changed the face of Imo. Imo governors are only better than former Abia governors. |
Gotocourt:If such a thing happens we'll see how it plays out. The position ought to stay in South South based on rotation of other posts so Tinubu knows why he's using Akpabio for now. It's not hard to hang on till 2027. But whichever way Na their pockets. |
Gotocourt:That's not the question. I was asking based on zoning? |
Gotocourt:Impeachment to put who again from the region? |
Nchenches:I'm not an Owerri person but truth need to be told. Only Alvan and FMC(teaching hospital) are in Owerri. Those institutions were initially located in rural areas outside Owerri but I guess they federal people didn't care to go far enough into the jungles As of then because what you now call as Owerri has grown up to meet them. As for the estates, I don't know and Owerri people has been fighting against government since time immemorial. All of their ancestral and farming lands are being wiped out for things they may not have much stake in it. Mind you it's the government that forcefully apportioned the lands and allocated the houses. Most recent housing projects are private partnerships. State institutions were located imsu in uturu okigwe, Alvan(a less desirable college then) in the heart Owerri, college of agric(imopoly now UAES) in Umuagwo Ohaji/Egbema. The new state institutions by Rochas, Ihedioha and Hope are located Coll of edu in Mbano, state Polytechnic in Omuma, Oru east L.G.A. IMSU was relocated to Owerri in a them secondary school site under emergency following the creation of Abia State and dividing Okigwe with boundary line just to collect the university. IMO STATE INSTITUTES WERE NEVER CENTRALISED IN OWERRI AS YOU PURPORT *) Imo teaching hospital is in Orlu built by Udenwa, commissioned by Obasanjo. The federal teaching hospital that you're talking about is beyond our control because I personally don't like it's location but federal government decided to transform their federal medical centre into federal teaching hospital. It has nothing to do with Owerri or other zones. Other hospitals you and I may want to suggest are not properties of federal government. So that's that. 1) Owerri is the capital so that's most likely where parastatals will be located or do you expect INEC office or federal secretariat to be in ideato or onuimo!? 🤷🏻♂️ 2) FUTO is in ihiagwa, closely located to federal poly nekede but they're not close to fecolart offorolla. However all of them are in Owerri north L.G.A BUT THEY ARE NOT INSIDE of "Owerri" and their locations are far from any house for rent or market that is inside "Owerri". 3)These institutions (except FUTO) started as colleges and were not given much consideration and they didn't have much population until recently after jamb started unified utme. 4) Alvan started as a state college again with little to no consideration. At a time it was almost a taboo and was tagged a housewife's school. |
The main issue is "a person may be wise but, people are stupid." Irete is a landlocked community. Where are the herdsmen going to go through to attack only Irete? Someone had raised this same scare one late night about or over a decade ago when I was living around there and some people were even panicking and running to their friends house as at midnight while normal people were sleeping soundly. The small commotion woke me and I just shook my head for humanity. |
The guy that was narrating the video is a lost cause. Doing everything to sell lies against the lecturer. The video is clearer than glass. If truly the lecturer's students were coming for her she for dun look like Chinese people inside chemist shop. |
If they're not your offspring or supportive parents, relations or friends who offer encouragement for your progress and mental sanity, you don't need them. Ask yourself, If you should get arrested or have a medical emergency, how long will it take for them to know or to be reached and how many of them will run up immediately with your bail money? |
PigTormentor:It's always been there On myMTN app. Many people don't know about it and you can only sub it through the app |
Mrfeel:All states are secular but almost all states are so religious that abortion or homo is banned. *And yes, I stand against those things but I had to mention them because secularly, there's no reason to ban them. The only reason they're banned is because of the religious feelings of people. That is the same reason alcohol is banned. *None of this changes the fact that this country and all 36 states +FCT are secular states entities. Will you be saying the same when the Muslims and Traditionalists start pressing their own demands and installing their own items? You and I know say their own no dey easy to handle. |
SeeWahala:I'm an Igbo man but It's none of my business whether it repeats or not. Crazy things can abruptly start happening anywhere in the world as we can see in Congo-Rwanda, Ukraine-Russia, Gaza. It won't deny history. |
SeeWahala:Only kids shy away from facts. I'm well aware of what purportedly happened in Lagos last elections. It doesn't in anyway invalidate the facts. Neither will hate change the course of history. |
Dogalmighty17:Alright Na, make dem watch what kinds of weight she has left. I was even thinking about that. How come our own VPs (&most deputy governors) kind of vanish into thin air after office. You'll rarely see them going back to represent their people in senate, house or gubernatorial. |
mastermaestro:I've given you much attention already. You might just as well be one of these genz scrubs. |

I'm not a kid you can rile up with biased or myopic sentences
