You people warned us that we shouldn't vote out Jona that Nigeria will burn and we dared you yet nothing has happened. If the President decides to scrap your source of looting, you will do not more than commit suicide by standing against the President of the federation. Having enjoyed money, none of you will be willing to go back to the creek and swamps

Like seriously, if you ask me, hating the APC is actually a healthy thing to do.

Where is your pride when you asking a woman who won legitimately to compromise the mandate given to her to a man who dances to tunes played by Tinubu and co all cos Igbo want to feel politically satisfied. That is not the Igbo spirit I know and am so sure someone like chinua Achebe won't support this.

Rather, why not rally support for your people in the senate to ensure especially in the PDP to satisfactorily support the SS and SE region and let Nigerians know you guys are not push overs.
the people asking her to step down are the traditional rulers and the key decision makers of her place and not any party. The ss and se have not being in unison with one another but the ss clogged the se to retain their son as the President

trust me dis particular election was not about religion or tribe if someone like victor umeh was for apc we would ve voted him not someone like ngige...ngige cannot win any election in anambra even presidenT of main market...if ngige was pdp d result would ve still remained the same...is a personal dislike not party...if not rochas would ve not been voted for if it was tribalism
there's a change in the voting pattern of Nigeria but we still divided between religion and ethnic lines. The reason rochas won was because buhari had already being declared the winner. There's a campaign of calumny against ngige from every quarter

My bro i undstand u bt insted of being at somones mercy, we beta stand out and stand firm even if we stagger. This is politics, tides turn, i prefer the pain to build up til one day wen they wil stop at nothin to redeem themselves wen the d chance coms. Igbos do not react excpt wen pushed to d brinks.
Guy you truly understand it but this is Nigeria where he who has power takes it all. Once a party is in power to wrestle it back is always issue. Until Nigeria practices true federalism, the likes of Yoruba will keep benefitting from the policy because they follow the tide and never lay all eggs in a basket. I prefer to eat from the pot where the food is being cooked than wait until it's my turn to cook

If it was true dat obiano went to visit buhari for that purpose, den he is a weakling. Wether d Apc holds senate presidency or not, wether apc holds and supports anambra state or not. Gov obiano can stil perform well if he wants to! I'm sick of all these! Wen ngige was gov under pdp. Obj neva supportd him, he workd. Anambra state is wealthy and economically viable 4 goodness sake. Our best comes out 4rm our discomfort zone! Ekwunife dare d devils! Let the heavens fall! We wil survive.
we are not talking about building intra city roads here. we talking about capital projects like having at least a cargo airport, dredging of Niger and many more. These only come with federal might and no state can handle such not even Lagos without heavy economic casualty

Nwannem, allow these eediots abeg, I stay in Onitsha and stupid bigotry pisses one off but good to know that after the election, so many are asking what they have benefitted from the PDP led government for 16 years. I've realized that most Igbos that still crave for PDP and GEJ don't even live close to the SE.
I don't care if I get bashed or not but the "bring him down at all cost" attitude towards Buhari has backfired and let's learn to live with it simple!!!!!

Yes by installing a puppet on you ,for you to think you are getting your Federalism, you see what I mean... You are not even seeing BEEN THE yond what you narrated here, What of Ekweremadu because he's PDP? You guys should understand what APC is so that you won't regret having a representative under them, earlier this week Okey Ezzea was slapped in a meeting for saying the true position of things, una never see change yet. THE PEOPLE IS THE PRIMARY REASON OF EVERY CONGRESS NOT SOME PEOPLE POLITICAL AMBITION
You didn't make sense to me. I mean no insult please

You are in Nnewi and not in the senatorial zone concerned so don't talk with authority for us. The clamour for him to be governor was on Nairaland. As you can see, he didn't win, he didn't even come 2nd. As senators, they are entitled to constituency projects. His project was VIP toilets that exist only on his propaganda pamphlet. Also, he did not sponsor a single bill not to mention one that would benefit his zone. Contributed nada to our lives.

You cannot compare to an Ekwunife. We won't shoot ourselves in the foot. If you wanted it so much, your zone could have voted for APC so that you can produce Senate president.
and nairaland is made up of ghosts and robots. the deed had being done so let's learn to live with it. all I say is that 4yrs no be beans to waste so let's make the best of it and hope for the best

you are a clown it's ur aura of reasoning that has back fired to you by affecting ur current state of reasoning, the people matter more than party. we want a representative not a puppet, APC promised good governance so they should work with the peoples choice not their own choice
you need to start seeing beyond being an Igbo and see the bigger picture of Nigeria. We Igbos need true federalism to survive without the government influence and until then, we need to play politics in the center and not by the side. The Yorubas understand this well

How can you say that? Do you live or are you from that senatorial zone? What has Ngige done for us since he was in the Senate? Whilst Ekwunife is a performer any day any time. He should go and use one of his invisible VIP toilets jor.
I live in nnewi and may I remind you that as a senator, he doesn't award contracts but make laws. the same man that you people clamoured for to be the governor of anambra less than two years ago if not for the Apga Igbo party slogan has now become a non performer? we Igbos chai!!!!! Let me have the Senate president and worry whether he performs or not. The Ijaws are clamouring for their son to remain the President even when they didn't enjoy much of his six years. Just enter a government agency with the stamp of Senate President and see the wonders it does

What did Ngige do for the igbos during his first stin t at the Senate? What benefits would even come from any region having the Senate presidency? Mark was Senate president yet his people were been slaughtered every week by fulani herdsmen. Abeg park well jare
I see that you can't find the benefit of having the Senate president until it's being given to you or your family. On a serious note, the Senate President can attract the biggest of the contracts for his people. That Mark failed to do that doesn't make the office irrelevant. Go ask the people of Ekweremmadu about the joy of having the deputy Senate president. What made Chime drop his senatorial ambition is no beans so don't console yourself with there's no importance attached to the office
PoliticsRe: Senate Presidency: I Won't Step Down For Ngige - Ekwunife by jmichlins(m): 7:54am On May 02, 2015
As I always tell my fellow Igbos and people of anambra central specially, our hatred, religion bigotry and inability to see beyond our nose denied us the third office of this country and we have no one to blame but ourselves. We hated APC and all it brought and voted out Ngige because we want to make sure that Buhari fails and it has backfired big time on us. But the funny thing is that many of us are yet to realize that Buhari has won and that's why you see some claiming that they don't need the government influence to survive. Obiano was cautioned by some people for visiting Buhari and I ask, is this our fate till at least four years to come. We will be the first to cry neglected and whoever that extends his hand beyond our wall is labeled saboteur. Okorocha got lucky

this guy is absolutely an opposite of the incumbent President. if it was the incumbent President, he will keep quiet until it is being blown out of proportion by overzealous journalists who need someone to ridicule to gain attention. one of the mistakes of GEJ was his inability to clear the air and take decisive action thereby allowing his perceived enemies an opportunity to blame him for many crimes. this is what I call a President
