Family / Re: My Cousin's Encounter With A Nigerian Single Mother by joa2013: 5:43am On May 08
Your cousin never see anything. He should thank his star that they didn't use some diabolical means to tie him down. Some single mothers are dangerous, have you found out why their former relationship failed? Date them at your own peril. I remember saying something like this on Facebook and my account was suspended. It's the truth.

Religion / Re: His Church Isn't Allowing Him To Remarry by joa2013: 6:09pm On Dec 17, 2023
I don't agree with the church. Meanwhile since he has a son, I would suggest that he consider staying single, focusing on personal growth, and living a fulfilling life instead of getting entangled in another marital struggle. He can look out for female friends to keep for psychological reasons instead of remarrying. Nevertheless, If the idea of remarriage is a serious consideration for him, perhaps leaving the current church is an option to explore.

Education / Re: What Offence Did a Student Who Approached His Female Lecturer For love Commit? by joa2013: 6:57pm On Sep 05, 2022
wwwkaycom:
My wife's cousin is a student in a federal government institution, a monotechnic. I've always noted that the guy is naughty. Recently my wife told me the guy is having issues in his school because he approached his supervisor, a single female lecturer for a relationship. The lecturer warned him to perish the thought but this guy persisted. Now the female lecturer have refused to continue with supervision of his project and wrote to her head of department to assign him to another supervisor. He just started afresh with a new supervisor while his colleagues have defended their projects two weeks ago. He called my wife this evening to tell her that final results of his colleagues have been uploaded into the institutions portal while his name was placed under "non-graduating".
I have some questions here.
1. Did this guy commit any offense by "toasting" his female lecturer?
2. Is it right for the department to have denied him opportunity to graduate because of this?
3. Can he complain to the authority of the institution about this? What will he say he did to have been denied opportunity to graduate?
4. Has the department committed any offence against this boy as touching his fundamental human rights?
5. Can he seek legal redress?
Thank you all.
Hello Sir, that boy was not denied opportunity to graduate by thedepartment, he didn't graduate because he hasn't complete his project as at the date of project defence, simple.

Autos / Re: How Did You Buy Your First Car by joa2013: 10:51pm On Dec 28, 2020
Bought my first car 400k in 2009. A naija used Nissan Almera. It was one used car dealer near my office who linked me with the seller and ended up collecting 50k from me for papers which costs only 7k at that time. He duped me because he knew I didn't know anything about vehicles. I made sure he never sell any car to any of my office colleagues for years after that until he begged me seriously in 2013 and even tried to refund my 50k which I turned down. Each time I see any of my colleagues inspecting any car in his stand, I'll go to the person's office to tell him or her to beware of the car dealer because he's dubious. He lost more than 30 sales because of me. It was because of him that I learnt how to buy cars from Tincan, seme, Idiroko, other parts of Lagos and Nigeria and even cotonou. I will spare my time to follow my colleagues from Akure to Lagos to buy Naija used cars or tokunbo so as to make sure they don't patronise him. He got to know this through our gateman and started looking for me, he sent one of my ogas who's from his hometown to beg me. That's when I allowed him to start making money from my office. Besides, I no longer have the time to go round helping people to buy cars anymore.
OP, get your money first and make sure you go for your dream car, Toyota Corolla.

If a woman you're legally married to denied you sex and you forcefully have your way with her, can that be described as rape?

Honestly I believe that fuel pump is the issue. The one used to replace the old one might be fake. Get an original Mazda tribute fuel pump please.

Thank you brother, my sister changed the fuel pump earlier this week. The plugs have been changed too.
Mazda with that problem is usually due to bad ignition coils or fuel pump. I'll recommend that you look for genuine Mazda mechanics and get that pump and coils looked into. My boss uses Ford escape which uses the same engine as the Mazda tribute and I followed him to his mechanic when he had this stalling issue in January this year. The six coils, six plugs were changed after scanning. There was a code I can't remember. That was the end of the problem since then. Check those coils if they are not bad too, buy original new ones from Mazda or ford shops, buy original fuel pump too, it'll work.

I haven't paid for the car now. Trying to find out if it has issues that aren't so easy to handle.
Car Talk / MITSUBISHI MONTERO SPORT: IS IT A GOOD BUY? by joa2013: 8:52pm On Oct 20, 2020
I needed a good SUV for use in a very rough terrain and for my farm works. I actually crave for old model 4runner but my budget isn't measuring up. So a colleague helped me to get a 1999 Mitsubishi Montero for a price of 650k. I consider the price low because everything is working perfectly with only fuel pump and one hob to change in front. Good tyres, AC, body, interior, suspensions etc.
I'm skeptical because I hardly see people driving the car around in Akure though my mechanic told me its a good car and that he handles it for some customers.
Please, what are the real issues with this car? Why are people not really using it.
The car is not as new as the one in the picture but close to it and same colour.

Autos / Pungent Odour In A Tokunbo Peugeot 407 Car by joa2013: 10:19am On Oct 17, 2020
Please house, what's the solution to a pungent odour oozing from a tokunbo Peugeot 407 car that my brother just bought. My brother has no problem with the odour, but his wife always throw up anytime she travel in the car. I also rode in the car yesterday and I almost throw up too. It is a very clean car both in interior and exterior. I took the car for a through steam wash this morning but the odour is still there. Someone at the car wash said it is common with European cars that we ought to have bought a Canadian or American car.
Please, what is the cause of this car and how can it be eradicated?

Anytime you wanna buy anything from anybody, insist on transferring the money to his/her account. If he/she begin to talk about having issues with his/her account, ATM card expire and all those stupid talks, run. In 2019, I wanted to help a friend buy a Nigerian used 2005 Toyota corolla for N1.1milion from a woman in Lagos. I asked her to give me all the original documents, custom papers, receipt of purchase, plate number allocation receipt, registration documents etc. The woman was just looking at me like where did this one come from. I went to licencing office in Ikeja to verify all the documents and they were all genuine but the car was registered to a lady who this woman claimed is her sister. I spoke with the lady on phone, she agreed to the sales, I then insisted on transferring the money to the seller's bank account. She said she took loan with the account and the money will not come out if l transfer to it. I told her I won't pay cash and that I won't transfer to the account of the other lady I didn't see in person. She had to bring her husband who show me all his ID card and those stuff, I paid the money into the man's account, did receipt, change of ownership and police report. It cost me like additional 15k for all these but l didn't mind. So when I was driving the car away, they started laughing calling me outdated, old school etc, who cares? My friend is still driving the car around with peace of mind.
