Dearbest: Thanks for your input sir/ma. The A$40k is per year fees. Taught immigration doesn't allow bringing in of food items. Can you please expantiate on this. Most importantly, my research shows that aged care course take around 1 year in Melbourne to complete and can't be done by international students with study visa. Can you please explain this better in a way an inexperience person can understand and the possible cost. My course is a post graduate course in RMIT university. Thanks as I anticipate your help in this regard. They allow foodstuffs but not all types. Go to the Australian immigrants thread to know what to bring and what not to bring. It would take you a year if you don't have English qualifications and you don't fall into that category, so you'd spend 2 or 3 months in the aged care course. Besides who told you that international students can't register for the course...... Please don't believe that lie from the pit of hell |

Dearbest: Great people of nairaland, please I need an answer to this...... My sponsor is willing to pay my full tuition of one year while I sought the rest out myself. I am quite hard working and can persevere in difficult situation. Is it achievable please. Your sincere and encouraging response will be so appreciated @ bligs, WestAfrican and others. Please don't ignore. 1. Is the A$40k per year if yes. Of course you can meet up Get a room for $150/wk. Spend only on your necessities(bring lots of stuff from Nigeria that will help greatly) Moreso, there are lots of jobs. Getting one ain't hard. P. S Prepare to take the aged care course or disability course.... There's money in that sector What University did you get accepted into |

Deeman1: Mrs/Miss Nigerian... Typical.. gets confrontational when someone makes an observation/statement of fact. First off Australia would be quite cold for someone coming from Nigeria in the winter. But me laughing at someone who complains about the cold in Australia would be normal (it's nothing personal). Also, Lots of places in Russia is not colder than where I leave in Canada, so also the revere is the case. Considering the northern most pick of Canada is literally on thesame latitude as the northern most pick in Russia. I guess you would also consider getting to know the level of knowledge of who you lay accusation to before you make them.. By the way all the best in your studies in Australia... Thank you. See me see success, please what accusations have I laid against you and besides nothing of what I said is confrontational. Biko I don't want to know if you're the president of Canada or whatever cos it doesn't affect me in anyway. Last time I checked Dudinka, Krasnoyarsk Krai in Russia is more colder than Canada, so where did you get your outdated knowledge from. Oh I just remembered you're a Nigerian, no wonder. So bros or oga, let me enjoy my wine in peace and think about my budget. Cheers |

Otumbalamba: Please and please ......... I know this is not the right place to ask this but please am so stressed about this. I studied management in school ,I applied to macquarie university for management in same course .......and the gave me admission on that. But I later found out that management is not on there sol(skilled occupation list)......this has made me sad all through this period. Is it possible to switch course to Sol course when I get there......please am so desperate for that PR after study.
Please i need answers......thanks Switching courses can get very competitive here. Have you paid the fees yet? The best you can do is email them explaining that you wanna awitvh courses and ask them for directions/ how to go about that. My two cents Let the gurus in the house come to my aid on this one. |

bayocanny: Hello bro, I'm an HND holder I studied Mass communication, can I use my HND results to apply for Msc in Aussie? is it true that Aussie schools do not accept admission directly from the applicant unless they go through an agent?
i anticipate your response bro. First, I ain't a Bro. Most schools in Australia would refer you to an agent of theirs but there are some schools that won't bother whether or not you use an agent. And as for using your results to get into Msc am not sure about that. You can ask that in the other Australian student thread |

Good morning everyone. I want to bring few things to our notice in the most humblest way ever imagined but forgive me if I get Gordon Ramsay a bit.
First : Before posting questions read the thread name. This thread was specifically created to carter for the survival of students and (others). I would appreciate it if we all stick to that.
Second : If you have any questions relating to how to get visa and the school you want to go to, there are other threads for that, just not here please.
Third: Keep your fucking racist thoughts to yourself please. If you have anything that will contribute to the health and well-being of others, it's welcomed onboard and if not, please take it elsewhere.
Thank you |

Deeman1: Hahaha, I laugh when these Aussie people use winter and Australia in thesame sentence.. Pls madam refrain from that, it sounds like an oximoron. As far as am concerned winter in Australia is like having fresh chill breeze. P.S am a Canadian. Excuse me Mr. Canadian.... Am from Nigeria where its quite hot and you don't expect me to adapt overnight to something I've never been exposed to before. So I'd appreciate it if you take your time to find out more about something before speaking about it. Thank you Edited : Am sure you wouldn't say that if you were in Russia. |

Itzpetersv: I'm in 300 level now in a nigerian university but want to travel to Australia for bachelors. What are my chances of getting a school and getting Visa. Please also give me some advice about it.
I'm thinking of Torrens University or Box Hill.
Please help me with information Why do you want to start all over. The fees aren't friendly Besides you need to convince the VO that starting over is the best for you i.e if you stated that you have started uni already and if not you will need to start what you have dlbeen doing ever since you finished high school. And Google which of the school is better than the other and make your decision. |

Don't go about spending the nice Aussie Dollars you get aftrmer conversion cos you'll need every bit of it. I got a room for $150 per week, private room which is kinda big and very cheap in my opinion.
I don't visit African shops cos things are kinda expensive there. I stick to my rice, veggies and fruits but for those who are Nigeria food patriots well be prepared to spend some $$.
Please and Please make sure your International Drivers License is with you when you land here. As a student you can use it for the entire duration of your studies. |
