swiz123: This also doesn't negate the fact that some chances are more clear cut, even though the statisticians don't recognize to avoid being ambiguous.
For example, this screenshot you have been posting doesn't describe certain scenarios where the angle of the 1 v 1 increases the keepers chances of saving.
The best way to judge big chances is to actually watch the game. Because when you talk of expecting a player to score, you must also talk about the player you are expecting to score and if the angle increases or decreases his chances of scoring. as per the bolded, it does. And from following big chances stats, I've not missed or get confused by a scenario. Look at the Colwill chance, it's like "one on one" but are we expecting Colwill (or any attacker for that matter) to score from there?. I doubt cus the angle is tight. The only thing is just to be hopeful. Compare it with Son's one on one against Man City. You'll note the difference between the two is just the angle. Only a very very good striker can pull Colwill own off(reason why it's not a big chance) but any attacker ought to pull off Son's own (even though he missed it)

Watkins is good. He seems to be an Arsenal fan sef. He couldn't celebrate when Son missed that famous chance against City last season. But Aston Villa won't let him go. Really? Newcastle have Psr and ffp issues? But even at that, I won't hold my breath. People that bought Isak and Tonali within two seasons have a plan and they'll wriggle their way around it without selling their treasures. Watkins is good and yeah he's an arsenal fan. mostob: Bro, how often do you enter local market? We go tell them say we value Nketiah as 40m. If them no gree, we go add 10 more.
I just like that guy. He is a perfect example of a player Arteta wants. He is a good outlet, very fast and physical, excellent dribbling and ball-carrying, and can score goals too.
When I was reading the analysis earlier this year, two names were suggested - Isak and Rashford. Except that Rashford is not the physical type. Lol... He's the striker we would love, tho I was even skeptical about him at first (when he was at sociedad). It's just that I no dey reason am cos I know he's their poster boy. I doubt if we drop 100m they'll even sell him sef, that's to tell you why I'm not even looking at his direction Watkins na another person I like. He's someone I love his style of play first time I followed him right from his debut Aston Villa campaign and tbh it'll be easier to get Watkins than Isak |

swiz123: Empty post tap ins is a bigger chance than 1 v 1. Don't you understand or you are trying to dispute this?
If a player is expected to score 1 v 1 9/10, what will be the expectation if it is close range tap in? It's a bigger chance agreed but in both aspects,p a player is expected to score(which is the main point). If the example you gave happened, both players will be given the sticks by critics. What separates big chance from others is that a Player in such situation is EXPECTED to score, Be it empty net, one on one or penalties. Reason is because both fans and coaches (and even fellow players) expect the ball to hit the back of the net. So I find it absurd when someone says "big chances" and "very big chances" when all the components listed are under the big chances.

germaphobe: God bless you for this correction. I realized that we're on an upward trajectory so my baby is getting 25 goals for sure, if only Arteta won't make him drag spot in the already congested midfield. Havertz up front, Jesus drag right wing with Saka, or like the coach did later part of last season and try Martinelli on the right to give Saka rest, so Jesus will drag that left side with Trossard. Make Havertz lead the line and I guarantee you 25 goals Jesus can play top front in cup games shaa. With the way this transfer window is going, I don't think Arsenal will get any player for that Saka spot, I've made peace with that but if they surprise me, I go take am. Lol, I don't think Havertz will drag that spot with anybody. He's already cemented the Cf place especially as we're actively pursuing Merino. Highest he'll be shifted to midfield towards end of Match to shore things up. If he can finish with 13goals last season even after starting as a Cf second half of the season, then maybe him fit reach 20-25goals so I'm not even pessimistic about that. Just tell your baby not to disappoint us And also, I believe you're right. Me thinks Martinelli and Trossard one spot while Jesus and Saka the other spot with Jesus also deputizing Havertz. Epl starts today, can't wait to see your baby shut all of us up |

What's the minimum xG value of a big chance according to Opta?
You are ignorant like Lord.falcao and Tim.bros and it's a shame. Do you know that Xg takes account of the quality of player while big chance does not. I don't know how Xg is calculated and from my research about it, there's no said way Xg is calculated. If I tell you what is the Xg of Thuram and Ugochukwu goals last week, you can't except you start looking at stats data. Same can not be said for big chance One thing I know is — the definition of big chances cos it's simple and straight forward. Once you start discrediting English as plain and simple as this below just because of some ambiguous terms, it makes me to laugh

swiz123: What if I told you that both Jackson and Haaland missed big chances just to create a false narrative and when you later watched the highlights, you realized that while Haaland one V one effort was saved, Jackson missed an open net from close range? Any striker or attacking player is supposed to score one on one 9/10. Just like penalties, most players are expected to score it 9/10. That's why there's always consternation among fans if a striker misses one on one. Let us don't make it seem like one on one is one kinda hard chance to score for professional players. The definition is clear for all to see with the key word : ".... is expected to score..."
