On point.
If we had played after Mancity loss, we could wail a little,
We've had our own "bad day in the office"
It was Mancity that couldn't capitalize on it.
Let forget that match and hope we can beat brendfort again.
Thank you.
That's the match we should be looking forward to and hope to continue our winning runs from there again 👌
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 9:06pm On Feb 06, 2023
I remember when we played against Leicester (in Feb 2016). They were topping the league with 5 points with us being 2nd.
We won the game 2-1 and cut it down to 2 points but the loss didn't deter them. The still went on a winning spree and eventually they won the league while our 2 points difference turned to 10points.

When we lost against Everton unfortunately, most of our prayers here was that Tottenham should beat Man city (even though we all had the faintest of hope that it might happen). Now that it has happened, instead of us to be happy that our 5points is still intact (instead of a possible 2points), instead we start wailing about the "8 points" we initially didn't have and never had.

I mean, It would have even being understood If we played after the Man city loss and not before it.

C'mon guys!!.

Let's believe in this boys and the team!

@ Roland17. Please, don't misunderstand those of us that called for calm to mean that we don't want the league or that our minds aren't in the league... Far from it!!

What we saying is that we should not overreact on the loss and that it's expected for us not to be invisible (ie not winning all our matches). Looking forward to the next game should be of utmost importance not thinking about what we've lost.

This team have made the best starts in the history of arsenal history and it's not as if they didn't lose while doing that. What they just need from us, at least, Is the confidence that they can go on another winning spree just as they did and that this one is a "bump" just like In September.

And you think the players and staff don't want to win the league this season?
Check out the interviews of all the players this season, they always talk about hope of winning the league even though they put the caution of "always taking one game at a time".
Our Jan transfer window even buttress the fact that we're really going all out to win this league looking at the transfer window we had in terms of depth we were lacking unlike last winter season where we were naïve (Trossard, Kiwi and Jorginho— even though the latter isn't loved by majority fans). Add it to attacking firepower of Jesus, Smith Rowe and Nelson who should all be back hopefully by February ending at most.

The season is still far and they'll always be bumps on the way but one thing I trust with this group of players (and staff) is the mentality— they've shown it numerous times and I believe that's what will take us far this season. I've always been saying it from last season and I'll keep on saying it.

Funny enough...

We lost against Man u(4th September) and the next EPL team was Brentford

Now we've lost against Everton(4th Feb) and our next match again is.... Brentford

Hopefully, we'll pick up our winning runs from there just as we did in September

Thank you Spurs for giving us a deserved breather grin

Because we found ourselves in unlikely position doesn't mean we should bottle it, that was how it happened last season
Excuses upon excuses
Nobody is saying they should bottle it but you're making it seem as if we shouldn't drop points or lose any games. Moreover, I don't see any bottling in 5 point lead as at Jan/Feb. The season is still very very long

Every arsenal players and fans hope for us to win every game but the reality is that it is almost impossible.

Ystdy is one of those days that can happen. Let's just believe the team will pick up from where they left off

If anybody told u at the beginning of the season that we would only have lost 2 games and drawn 2 out of 20 games played thus far, would u believe ?

We’ve won 16 out of 20 games bro! Except u are under the illusion that we would go unbeaten this season, I think we should cut Arteta and the team some slack. The matches we lost/draw were matches our players tried their best it wasn’t enough .
Thank you for this

so far Arsenal is overachieving and over reaching this season. They have been the best team and Arteta the best coach. I pray we win this league this season. We need it baaaaddddd.
This is one thing I feel some of we arsenal fans are not factoring.
We're overachieving and even have the best starts since arsenal history. We can't win all matches and we all know that

It's not easy to go invisible or not to drop points. Leagues like this are won by results of our rivals dropping points too as there's no winner in history which didn't drop points.

Arteta and the boys deserve praise even in the midst of ystdy result. All we just need to do is pickup from where we left off

Ok bro... our next game is on Saturday. why not play our game in hand this midweek. Na wetin implicate us last season be that.
Our game in hand is against Man city and it have already been set to 15th(the midweek after Brentford's game).

The outstanding Everton game is a general one, so most EPL teams will play same week when it's set.

But I don comot mind.
May God spare us till next season.
The thing is that we should just take one game at a time.
That's the only way to enjoy arsenal this season and enjoy the wins

If you're thinking about the league, you might not enjoy arsenal fully grin.

I've made up my mind since that we can't go invisible even with our amazing run. We might drop points here or there.

So comoting your mind this season already(just half way through) is you overexpecting from arsenal grin

My Thoughts On The Game of

Odegaard was off today. He wasn't that bad but we didn't need an average Odegaard today. Unfortunately, that's the side that showed up and he capped it off with being at fault for Everton winner

Martinelli hardly beats his man nowadays and he isn't daring enough. This is like the 2nd game Trossard is coming in for him before the 70-min mark. Hope he's taking note undecided.

I noticed how our Midfield was an express way after we 0conceded the goal. I'm not sure we've ever being challenged head-on in attack by our opponents when we're trailing this season aside today's game. I just hope we've not bought seniorman Lokonga.
Who noticed how we didn't quickly build out from the back after the goal?

Nketiah wasn't bad today but today really needed him to get involved more in games especially when we had issues breaking down the defences from midfield. He was really really isolated. One of the times he did that, he created a good goalscoring chance for Odegaard which the the latter spurned.

I just hope it was a precaution that Partey was taken off and that he'll be ready for next game. I just hope also Arteta won't make same mistake of subbing Partey when we weren't winning.

We just need to keep our heads up and look forward to Brentford.

A loss but we still have the aces in our hands!!

Palhinha is 27years and it's unfortunate he's of that age cos he would have being my preferred deputy for Partey.

I've been following him this season since their first game against Liverpool and he seems to Impress me in all his matches. I just hope we'll get someone younger and can do almost everything Partey does for smooth transition

I have always been Auba’s biggest Stan even when our fans complained aside goals he brings nothing to the team like Lacazette who always wants the ball to his feet and play with the rest of the midfield ; I defended him based on his goal contributions which far surpasses Laca’s .

He’s a player I like personally but he lost all that with his indiscipline issues. Haba! I don’t care about his decision to move to Barca or any other team but he messed up in his final season with us. Thank God for the All or Nothing documentary some of the fans would probably be blaming Arteta till now and alleging he doesn’t like big players like his boss Guardiola; hence why he froze Auba out.

I was livid when I saw how the whole thing played out in that documentary . This guy wasn’t even remorseful and was even throwing shades after leaving us. He deserves every bit of what is happening to him now 100%
This though... another angle!!

Pity fire! Remember, this is coming from one of Auba’s Stan’s and supporters while he was with us. He deserves every bit of his travails. Auba lost me after the AFCON nonsense!

He has vindicated Arteta in my eyes. He needs to humble himself and accept he is not all that anymore. Maybe a transfer to a tier 2 European club in Germany/ France/ Italy, considering he is on the other end of Father Time.

The manner with which he handled his final season with us was disappointing and left much to be desired.
I feel Arteta have been vindicated since last season and this season even proved it more that Arteta was certainly in the right and he's in the wrong...

...but still...

I just feel like what he's getting presently isn't really deserving of the last few months he did to us(with respect to what he has served us so far positively). I mean, he didn't even misbehave at Chelsea.

And this is coming from me who isn't really a very big fan of his.

But it's all good sha.... Na Chelsea and their wahala undecided

Madueke 50m

Incorporated James, Chilwell, Cucurella, and fufunaa

A captain who couldn't even be a good example to the youngings, see where he's landed himself. He should just go and find another sport like Bale and retire to chop his millions in peace.
Considering all the things he did for us, he deserves our sympathy at least. This one too much!!

Moving to Barca was a very good decision for him and he would have excelled there this season. He was just unfortunate to come Chelsea because of Tuchel and then meeting all this travails.

Arteta on Partey's injury

Omo, hopefully he'll be fit to start, then once we're two goals up we can sub him out and put Jorginho.

It's good news that he isn't ruled out and the pain isn't significant
