KingTom: Your setup is quite different from ours, you're willing to show players that no one is bigger than the club, case in point Aubameyang and Xhaka, so I believe Arsenal can tame him
Make we deh see sha cos looking logically, Rashford no bad
eph12: Ehn they will all work together to sell the unwanted players and bring in new ones. You still need the coach to identify the players that can never fit
Na coach and recruitment team suppose join hands identify player wey go gel.
I read the ineos plans and to be honest and looks good and sustainable. Make we see as e go pan out sha
mostob: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang REVEALS his side of the CLASH with Mikel Arteta:
“It was during the COVID period and we were playing, I think, Everton. My season wasn't great, we were struggling in the league and the day before the coach told us: 'Look, it doesn't matter if we win or not, you have a day off. But if you want to leave, you notify yourself before the match because you have to follow the health safety rules.'
My mother a few months before had a stroke, it was hot and it was going to be Christmas time so I went to see the coach and I said to him: 'Coach, I'm coming to see you because I'd like to leave, I'm going to go pick up my mother to bring her back for the holidays.' He tells me no problem. He knew very well what had happened, the day it happened he had already given me permission to go see her. So he gives me authorization and tells me to check with the doc about the return in relation to covid.
I'm going home to Laval, normally I was supposed to leave on the free day and return in the evening rather than the morning of training. My mother had exams to do, I couldn't leave in the evening so I left the next morning on training day. Once I got there, I had to take my test but in fact I should have done it the day before since I was coming from another country.
I arrive, the coach finishes his meeting and then he grabs me and he completely tears me up, he shouts at me like I'm crazy, he says: 'You put a knife in my back. You can't do that to me given the times we're going through.' At that moment I tell myself that I'm not going to answer him because it's going to end in steak. I didn't go partying. He knows very well the reason for my departure so at that moment I don't understand why he is lecturing me like this.
I go home and the doctor calls me from behind, he says to me: 'Tomorrow, the coach doesn't want you to be there.' I said ok, I knew the next match was coming and I said to myself: 'Damn once again everyone is going to talk about it, it's going to be a mess, what is this crazy thing.' I couldn't understand it was lunar.
The days pass and the doctor tells me: 'Look, he doesn't want you to be with the group anymore, but you will be able to come and train but separately.' I say to myself ok... And then afterwards, he calls me and we have a meeting so he can explain to me that one, he's taking away the captain's armband, and two, I'm training more with the group. Once again, he explains why he is against me during this period when it was complicated for the club. That I have to be an example and that I couldn't do that. At that moment, I said: 'I admit that I have my share of responsibility but the real cause I think you can understand if you are a little bit human. You can understand my move.'
After that, it was over, I stayed for a month training on my own while waiting for the break.” [@Colinterview]
Hmmmm... We need to hear Arteta's version too cos I can't believe he would be this inhumane especially knowing how Auba really helped him.
Also, Auba is a big influence in the dressing room and it might obviously cause division amongst the players if they see that he's inhumanly treated but the way they carried on suggests otherwise.
Lol.. Na why I dey look some arsenal fans offline and online wey go dey reason with some of these trolls. Most of the things they're gaslighting and making it seem insignificant that we did, if they do exact same thing you go shock by their reaction and hype
mostob: That United formation was really spot on and I was impressed. Ten Hag did his homework. Just send the ball to the wide ASAP. It opened up City's midfield since most of their players will be backtracking. That was where the second goal came from. Bruno already did the damage before Rodri could recover.
I don't think United used whether 9 or false 9 yesterday. At a point Mainoo was ahead of Bruno.
Yeah. Man U have already been playing well since the game against us. Immediately they put in those two, I knew it was game over. Plus e be like say Man City been still dey hangover sef.
As for the bolded, that was exactly what I was telling Spy. I never saw Bruno advanced as a CF at all. Perhaps he just saw formation on paper and rushed here to do "I told you so"
Kimbeast: You can do a miss compilation of any striker/attacker out there and they will all look ridiculous. Go and watch Haaland miss compilation on YouTube.
I just watched this now one while he has some really bad miss, most are just a combination of not so big chance plus some GK good saves.
Jackson own is so atrocious cos they're pure big chances he should be putting away at least or at least hit it well on target but he's not even doing it.
Anybody who watches this your clip and the one Airm.ark dropped would see a very big noticeable difference
mostob: Did you watched the video I sent here sometimes ago? It was an U21 games. The way these three moves in that game, you would see some similarities to that of the senior team especially Ode and Saka. I think the mentorship stuff is the reason behind this. Ode dey mentor Nwaneri while Saka is mentoring Duberry.
Yeah, I watched it. Those ones you talked about arsenal creating clones shey?
Omorr, dem to resemble these senior players from far view. Too much resemblance.
I watched arsenal last match (extended highlight) on YouTube and omorr, if you see the way dem deh move, e just be like mini version of the senior team. I see person dey move like a Rice, another like Odegaard. I don't even know their names sef.
The only person I know is duberry and the goal he scored is exact same goal Saka scored against Burnley. Same movement, same body feint, same use of right leg shot at the top corner.
mostob: Gbam! You just summarized everything I considered too. Team 2 is too defensive and there is no natural ball carrier in that team. Team 3 na hin worst pass.
airmark: When I have enough time I will aggregate the number of big chances Jackson missed, that even Junior Lokosa of Sporting Lagos, would have buried with his eyes closed, and add them to the numerous tap-ins he scored for us. I know it would be more than 25 goals.
In all of this I also blame our scouting system that couldn't find his horrendous misses even at Villarreal, as seen in the compilation below.
Jackson is not yet ripe to make Chelsea's bench as a striker, if we want our old glorious years back.
I just watched this clip. No way Chelsea board thought he'll be a main striker this season. Someone so raw.
And no way anybody will tell me Torres at Chelsea frequently miss pass this guy. Only misses of this season is just same as Torres all Chelsea season at most. This guy misses and poor shooting technique is atrocious
mostob: I think you have mentioned them all. Injury is the only thing affecting ESR TBH. I still remember Arteta vehemently stating he is going nowhere last year.
Nwaneri, Lewis and maybe Duberry to be promoted.
For these three, person wey I dey even look forward to sef na duberry.
I don watch the boys game and I'm seeing Saka in him too much. His movements, his decision making, his usage of left and right.
mostob: You know I debated between 1 and 4 before picking 1 sha? 4 is more balanced but 1 carry more threat.
Lol.. I would have chosen 4 but Jorginho and rice and Kiwi just made me not to.
Kiwi is not that kinda strong CB (my opinion sha), so he might needs helping hands.
That's where Rice supposed to come in but Jorginho is not Really a ball Carrier to link to Trossard. And I don't think he would really stand in for Rice in helping Kiwi effectively.
Moreover, I no even know that keeper sef
So all these reasons just made me ditch team 4. If Tomi was in for Kiwi, I would have considered it very very well
BlueRayDick: Team 1 has a deficiency in the sense that they have so many attackers and just 1 defender . And Ben white even though a good defender , he can’t do a 2-man work .
This reminded me of when I was in primary 5 in a decent private school . Most of our teachers then were Ghanians and they always push us to get the best out of us .
Our class teacher then decided he was going to start a weekly quiz where they will ask questions bothering on current affairs , capital of countries all over the world , history , little bit of science and calculations . They formed like 5 groups and named each group according to a color like orange , purple , blue, green , and white .
Papers were rolled and each class member picked one to decide which group he will fall under . They didn’t want a situation where it will seem like they kept all intelligent people on one side and people struggling on the other . I fell ended up in the purple group and most of the people that are usually known for their academic prowess did too.
But the funny thing is we only won the weekly quiz twice , subsequent ones were won by other groups . The fact that we had so many brilliant students in our group was even a disadvantage because one of the rules to the quiz is that u only have one shot at the answer as a group ,once a member of ur group attempts and miss the answer ; the next group can attempt it and get a bonus mark for it. Our group was always not organized , almost all group members were too overconfident and once we just give a wrong answer out of overconfidence the next group takes it as bonus point . Then I usually don’t like jumping to answer questions even if I know the answer , those who are too forward in my group will just bungle our chances . They only consult me when they don’t have an idea of the answer at all.
That period thought me a great lesson in life that a team may look good on paper but if they are not well balanced they may not achieve anything at all.
Lol .. nice one. Thanks for sharing boss
Truly balance is key in every aspect of life. I remember Madrid galaticos then. So so star players but not balance.
I remember when they sold Makelele to buy Beckham. Raul or Zidane said something like it feels they're buying Ferrari while selling its engine. Then I was very very young and I wonder why Madrid is always failing in UCL even with all their star players (then na only UCL I deh watch and not la Liga). Growing up and watching football frequently, I realized it was really balance.
mostob: Their trolling too watery. Imagine crediting Emery for the FA cup Arteta won in his first season. Never knew depression do lead to amnesia.
I watched Quinten's compilations and the only thing I can tell you is not to bother searching about him. Shebi you don watch Jurien? That's enough. The similarities ehn.. The only difference is their position and shirt number. Just like his brother, Quinten love doing those reckless tackles too.
BTW There are 5 Timber brothers. 3 of them are footballers.
Lol, Fa cup wey start January and Arteta was employed December oo. Anyways, I've already got a field day from the trolling
This Timber plays Midfield ba. I've forgotten his club but I know I watched him once in Europa (abi conference league) but I wasn't too moved but It was only that match I watched him and I don't want to use that to judge him. But blessings on that family oo. 3/5 pro footballers. Omorrrr
Anyways, I'm just eagerly waiting for this transfer window sha. I can't wait to see who we go sign
