Most corollas are stolen during when parked, reason i am considering it. But seems mechanics that specialize in doing it are very scarce.

immobilizer does not make the car immobile when the cold metallic barrel of a COLT 45 or the shinning wood trim of an AK47 is displayed by men of the under world. Probably it can help against those vandals Sha.

One of my brother in law's has a special immobilizer on his corolla that once you open the door when car is on or not it would activate, so if you drive for some distance engine would switch off then you have to press some special key combinations for it to come on same with when parked b4 u start it you have to press a socket combo. unfortunately the person who did it then doesn't know what it's called and the mechanic who did it too is no where to be found

When I bought my Camry droplight, I had an electrician install such for me and I use it till date. If men of the underworld point gun for my face,I go leave them make them waka with the car but in 4mins time,the car engine go stop, and the brake go seize and cos they no know the combinations to press,them go leave the car jakpa. I still have the guy's contact and I can get do these security stuff for anyone here just that he is in Onitsha, Anambra state.


I dey park my Camry any how with my mind relaxed about it's safety cos I know the only way to move the car,na through toying.

The VDC Compressors in most corrolas die out at around 120-150,000miles. In the S.A models it is worse, they seldom get to 100,000km before packing up. Now it varies based on where vehicle was used, if vehicle was used in Canada, you have a longer compressor life span as it was hardly ever used, but if your corrola was used in texas, it's like car was used in maiduguri (dem don flog the a/c wella) the issues surrounding a/c fixing in nigeria is the cost of brand new parts. buying a used compressor is a game of luck, also if there are still metal fragments in the system from the old compressor or a degrading suction or discharge hose, you will go back to square 1 in less than one week. The total cost of brand new parts are usually in the 350,000-450,000 for most toyota (compressor, condenser, pipes, expansion valve, evaporator, refrigerant and lubrication.) Sadly it's not favorable to the pocket of the average Nigerian. The closest option is to intall a manual compressor. The manual Compressors are very durable and can tolerate abuse (dirty systems, systems not vacuumed, failing fans etc) installing a compressor that sits properly is key so you don't have failing serpentine belts all the time. With time and over 20units I have realised the hilux compressor from the 2TR engine is a very good match for the 2/1ZR engine in the corrola I have some running up to 3years without issues. Cost of conversion is about ~N120,000

Oga gazzuz, what are the consistent problems associated with 2009-2012 corolla A.C compressors and the reason why it always fail in those brands of corolla.


Thinking of getting any of them by next month but the consist complain of A.C compressor failing is a big turn off for me

Please,which of the year from 2009-2014 usually have this A.C compression issues as I am considering buying those type of corolla soon?

You are damn right about the compressor stuff. Once the automatic have sensor issue the only solution is to put manual compressor ( Peugeot 508) and the life of the AC will never be the same again

My brother,I must say is always like that with women but your wife's own is much though. You didn't make mistakes in lavishing some stuffs on her during courtship but you seem not to have given her the idea that you are broke before and so she thinks your money grows like tree.

Once in a while,give a woman an idea that you're broke and watch her reaction. It will give you a better picture of her. She likes good things probably but you should get your wife a mentor. Either a woman in your church or someone she respects so much either in her office or neighborhood.

Don't take it to the point of one day,hitting her as I know those stuffs she is doing will make you look less of a man but hang on and and get a woman figure to help out.

Lastly,make her contribute in getting some things in the house so you don't kill yourself as a man. She is not there to just cook,give birth and be good in the other room but to also support you financially.

Will only order when I have seen reviews from users but my smart TV works well but I need something better.
