That Nice move did me one kain. All the moves that did not go down well with me. Okoye Aribo Onuachu Moffi Dessers Only Awoniyi’s eventually came good. charlesemeka85: I still maintain that Moffi goofed big time moving to OGC Nice during winter transfer window
If he remained with Lorient he will for sure get a move to a more bigger club and league in europe this summer
Clubs like inter, Bayern, spurs, chelsea , juve, psg etc would hv been all over him
That move to Nice no follow at all
Imagine Boniface earning a move to Bayer 04 and Orban linked to Lille and spurs which are bigger than OGC Nice?😭
If the above mentioned duo continue performing in bigger leagues and clubs automatically they will relegate Moffi down the pecking order in terms of striking options in the national team
Also Real Sociedad’s Umar is back from injury |

Orban can work in tight spaces, can dribble and can pass with both legs. Good at set pieces. Can he play #10 for us? Modified But scoring is his forte BankyGee: Broooooo... Paired with Osimhen, every goalkeeper go just dey give himself range - "Okay today against Nigeria, I'll try not to concede more than six goals, so help me God" 🤣 |

in this country called Nigeria, in almost every sphere, we have to make potentials count. of what good is it having all the deadliest strikers and you cannot utilize the best of them well in the national team? I would rather have one of the best strikers, defenders, midfieders and good keepers and a sound coach to give us results.. Results don't just come. Potentials is never enough. Let's speaking too much about football on paper. charlesemeka85: aside France I don’t think any other country can boast of the firepower we hv in our disposal at the moment |

Omeruo continued to get called up despite playing in La Liga 2. I don’t expect his performance for SE to drop. This is the time to make money if the pay is attractive. Kog45: The last two super eagles matches,Omeruo started ahead of Calvin Bassey and Kevin Akpoguma, meaning he is still eagles material.Good to be in Turkey than Saudi if he wants more eagles callings, not all Saudi moves guaranteed good money cuz I have seen players that regretted their decision example Ahmed Musa. |

JP says we can’t have more than 2/3 strikers. So all these Boniface, Orban etc moves may amount to no change in SE. Musa and Simon remain constants Bannedlargedx2: Our coaches better select the best available and inform players o and if he doesn’t, fans must Revolt. Enough is enough. We cannot have plethora of superstars playing and coaches won’t select the most inform one. Right now, we have a top striker in each of the big 5 leagues |

Na Tinubu turn. Make he finish he turn. Marjoribanks: This government should not take the silence of the masses to mean weakness. Increasing every fees in public institutions that would bring money into their pockets while still debating minimum wage and palliatives is a recipe for chaos. If you are close to those in power in this present dispensation warn them before it is too late. This moment of silence and patience by well meaning citizens of this great country should be the time this politicians earn their trust. Once the people gets angry and riots start none of them and their families will escape our rots and the storm might consume us all. I voted for this president doesn't mean I should be blind to the plight of my fellow citizenry. The politicians should learn from history! A word is enough for the wise! The people are suffering while the politicians are feeding fat! Wow! |

U don already finish work. I wanted him to trap himself. Anyways job well done! TheSuperNerd: Stop speaking lies to push your agenda.
Jose Gomes was replaced first by David Gallego and Nwakali stayed a super regular.
Juan fran came in only for the last 6 games when relegation was already confirmed and Gallego was sacked. Nwakali started 2 of those last 6 games simply because they were mere formalities to round off the season as ponferradina was confirmed already for the drop to third tier.
Also, what is wrong with Gomes being responsible for bringing Nwakali to the club? If Nwakali didn't shine in La Liga 2 last season, do you actually think it would have been easy for Gomes to sell the idea of the lad to the Club board?
When I dropped a similar scenario explaining that Lee Congerton, Atalanta's tech.director/head of recruitment was RESPONSIBLE for Lookman being picked up from Leicester, why didn't you try to water it down too? Or use it to push the claim of Lookman joining only becos person know am. Gasperini said he was convinced about Lookman by Congerton.
Listen, in football, most of it is down to who has seen you perform and rate your abilities. That is how most players get their opportunities to play top flight football except you are super media visible and already have legit media hype/approval.
Finally, Chaves finished 7th. Not 8th. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 3:29pm On Jul 21, 2023 |
Haha. I saw what you did there. When was José Gomez sacked. And how many games was a fit Nwakali benched afterwards? Truidstar: Oga Jobie… just a few facts…. 1. Jose Gomez was the coach that convinced ponferradina to sign Nwakali in the la liga 2. 2. The idea was since they finished 8th the previous season, Nwakali was signed to help them gain promotion. 3. When it was obvious ponferradina was going to be relegated, Coach Jose Gomez was sacked and Juan Fran was his replacement, hence Nwakali was starting games from the bench in the final round of games. 4. Jose Gomez is the current coach of GD chaves, he is responsible for bringing Nwakali to the club. They finished 8th last season. This is a case of what I call “when pharaoh comes to power… he will remember Joseph “.
Wish him all the best. |
