It's actually the highest test if you ask me. Portugal is a strong contender for the WC trophy. They've got Mendes, Vitinha, Neves, all current Champions League winners. Plus other elite talent in all departments. And they started their best against us.

Any other African country would have conceded more than 2 without scoring any. In fact, only few European countries can survive this current Portugal.

Abdullahi Ibrahim Bewene... A mixed first half as he was solid on the ball and going forward but showed lapses defensively. Stage fright it turned out to be as he returned a beast in the second half, stopping every foray he encountered, intercepting, tackling and even gliding pass his opponents.

Unlike the 1st 45 from a defensive standpoint, he actually showed defensive improvements and cut off that meter of space he afforded the Poles. He started closing them down more, getting in their faces more and produced a well rounded defensive display.

I dont know what Chelle told him at HT but whatever it was, it worked.

Brilliant debut from the young man.

38 years old lewandowski will play the friendly but our own superstar who is not injured nor involved in sorting out club transfer issues (he came out and said it himself) decided that playing in the friendly match is not worth his time. Its ok. The sooner the team works well without him the better.
